“I thought my navigation was off when I was looking for this place because it was guiding me through a residential area, but it wasn't. It is nestled between houses, and basically looks like a house that has been converted to a coffee shop. Parking was somewhat difficult as I wasn't sure if I was blocking someone's house. Didn't look like much from outside, but I was pleasantly surprised by its well-decorated interior. It has an artsy, hippy vibe, and a peaceful back patio. It was the perfect setting to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. I only tried its flat white so far but it was pretty good. It doesn't have numerous flavored lattes like coffee shops in LA and OC, but seems to use good quality beans.“

“We stopped by this cute little town for a little wine tasting and then we decided to get a little lunch at Panino's which was excellent. My wife and I both got a half sandwich and half soup which was really like a full sandwich and bowl of soup. I got the chicken salad on ciabatta and my wife got the caprese and we both got the Italian wedding soup which was marvelous! I couldn't even finish it. If you're ever in Los olivos this is the place to get a great sandwich!“

“I have been here 3 times. It is always great. Stephanie has been our server every time and she always strives to give you the best dining experience. The pinsas are amazing. Light crispy crust with top notch sauces and toppings. The caprioccia is my favorite. Really good wine selection. Every time I have someone from out of town visit, we make sure to go to Nella. Don't miss it!“

“They offer a happy hour menu with good savings for the pizza and salads. I did not like the Asian salad, the dressing was too acidic for me. My partner liked the steak and Cobb salad. The pepperoni pizza was good, lots of meat. We really enjoyed the dessert and fries. The wine was too expensive for us to try. It would be nice if they offered a wine flight for 10$ with 3 flavours.“

“I came here with my mother when she was in town to celebrate, and it was probably one of the fanciest restaurants either of us had been to. The servers were excellent and attentive, and each course came at a comfortable pace, it didn't feel like they were too fast or to far between. The detail put into each plate was amazing! They also have a vegetarian menu if you make a note on your reservation, and everything from that selection was delicious as well!Vegetarian options: They have separate menus if you call ahead for vegetarians!“

“Wow! Great dinner. Best place we ate at while visiting Solvang/ santa Ynez. Atmosphere was a rustic romantic ambience. Food was all amazing. Chris, our waitress was phenomenal. Very attentive and charismatic. We will definitely come back. 5 stars for sure. Oh... and the chicken liver with dijon was sooooo good!“

“We had heard good things about the food here, as a step up from more touristy fare nearby. And the reputation is well-deserved. Our fish tacos were on clearly homemade blue masa corn tortillas and the fried chicken thigh on our Caesar salad was very crunchy. The boquerones on the salad and dressing were perfect.“

“Yummiest beet salad ever. Unfortunately we had a late lunch so we were not super hungry. Parking was plentiful. A converted home. Well done. Open kitchen. Great service and atmosphere. Overall wonderful experience. Need to return when we are starving. The next table had amazing looking pasta. We enjoyed wagyu meatballs but that beet salad was divine. Look forward to returning. Definitely make reservations. At 6pm on a Sun it was pretty fullParking: Limited gravel parking in front. Plentiful parking across the street.“

“This hidden gem is such a gorgeous spot in Buellton! Don't miss it when you visit the Santa Ynez Valley! The cocktails are the best I have had in the Valley and the food is superb. Everything is made with such care and is just delicious. The filet mignon is probably the best I have ever had! The restaurant itself is so picturesque and comfortable and the service is impeccable.Parking: Easy to park right by the restaurant!Kid-friendliness: We normally come for date nights but brought our kids this last visit and they were very accomodating!“

“This is like the only authentic coffee shop in Solvang -- there's coffee served at brunch spots, there's coffee served at the many Danish bakeries, but I think there's only one quintessential coffeehouse in the area. The menu on the wall is limited and doesn't cover all the drinks and there's a printed menu by the cashier (I didn't know about this on first visit). Tried the cortado and the milk lattes, those are okay. Tried the Turmeric Super Latte today and that was a tasty drink with a nice spice kick to it.“

“This place is amazing! My husband and I chose to eat here before we got into town. It did not disappoint. I got the salmon and eggs benedict, and I was in love, the hollandaise sauce paired well with the tater tots, too. My husband got the flakey toast, and he really enjoyed them. We ordered a Monte Cristo to try it out for the first time, and it was pretty good, too. We had a great breakfast before heading home.“

“We never would have known this was here if it wasn't for Yelp. The food was very good as well as the beer and wine selection. The seating isn't great unless your group is very small. There were only 3 people working and the place was packed yet the service was excellent. We will go back.“

“We got our wedding cake through Solvang Bakery and it was so delicious and just what we wanted. We were unsure what flavors we were wanting ahead of time, but knew we just wanted a simple, small cake for the two of us for the cake cutting and saving. Melissa met with us to go over designs and flavors – brought us four different huge slices of cake to sample….we were eating them for days after. Which was amazing. She was very helpful in narrowing down our preferences and helping us come up with the exact cake we wanted. We couldn’t decide between two of the delicious ganache fillings, so we used both! We went with a semi-naked, rustic chocolate cake with buttercream frosting on the outside and a peanut butter ganache filling for one layer and dark chocolate ganache for the other. We only had one small slice on the night of our wedding, and then we cut the remaining cake into 12 pieces to freeze and eat throughout the year – one slice for each month of our first year of marriage. It was so easy to work with them to arrange pickup and we loved using a local bakery so close to our venue. Thanks to Solvang Bakery for the delicious cakes and all of the other goodies we get each time we visit Solvang.“

“A very competent menu and just a lovely place to grab dinner and a drink. The standouts are the duck fat fries, the cioppino, and some of their rotating brunch items (the skillet huevos rancheros when they have ‘em). There’ll be something for everyone, and you can comfortably sit inside or outside, and not have to fight Solvang’s windy and chilly evenings.“

“I absolutely love the food at this restaurant and can’t recommend it highly enough. Foodies drive from all over southern CA to eat there. The garlic shrimp is mind blowing, pheasant salad is beyond yummy, and their specialty burger (only available on Sundays while they last) is different every week and to die for. This time we got the cheesy cauliflower ❤️, chicken liver patè and Miso Cod collar for the first time and they were tasty. I was appalled to see any negative reviews so I read them. Be wary of the low star reviews as you’ll notice they are seemingly unimaginative people seeking white glove & privileged treatment such as vegetarian, vegan, keto and gluten-free accommodations. It is counter style ordering with food delivered to your table. It’s shared seating and community tables. Service is minimal, food is outstanding, and casual “industrial” environment is how it stays so affordable. These same dishes would cast three times more in Los Angeles. The name is “Industrial Eats” not “Private Chef Cooking for Butt Hurt Karens”. I suggest you roll up your sleeves and give it a try. It’s not glamorous but good will make your toes curl. I have no doubt that Anthony Bourdain would have loved this place.“

“Have a little ice cream romance here. Fine ice cream since the late 1940s. Old tradition. Always very welcoming. Gift stores nearby. Must have this ice cream when visiting Solvang, CA. Excellent customer service. Popular and tourist stop. Everyone loves them. Yes, credit cards accepted. Around $6 for a single scoop cone these days. Pay more for more scoops. No public restrooms onsite at this shop. Order onsite while waiting in line. Beautiful cute spot with good views for taking photos of your ice cream. Come on a sunny day or the photos you take on cloudy gray sky days may turn out less ideal. My hands and mouth were focused more on eating ice cream, so I almost forgot to take photos of it. Ice cream represents freedom and happiness at any age and time. It's always the moment of enjoyment that counts. Delicious and as good and enjoyable as it looks. The place has been here forever. It's a landmark of Solvang. I always come back for traditional chocolate chip, strawberry, or chocolate ice cream flavors. Wide selections to choose from. Pick what you like. Families and friends will love. They never disappoint. It's all part of the experience. Get 10% off if you have trolley ticket for discount. If you're itching for ice cream in town, definitely stop by while you're here. Worth every lick and bite.“

“Had dinner here last night with my girlfriend and parents. The food and wine were all amazing. We had pizza's, a couple different pastas, Scottish salmon and desserts. The owner, Danielli sat and talked with us. He is an amazing guy who moved here from Italy in the 90's and grew a family with his wife who he met locally. It seems that he knows everyone in the entire Santa Ynez valley and everybody loves him because literally every single person/group that left the restaurant came and talked with him and he introduced us to everybody. All around amazing experience and I highly recommend going here!“

“I had the pulled pork and my husband had the pastrami. The sandwiches were pretty good but pricey. We had sides of potato salad and spicy slaw and they were both delicious. There is only outdoor seating so bring a jacket if it's cold out. We'd go back and give it another chance but it wasn't a stand out. 3.5 stars.“

“We stopped in here three times during our stay in Solvang. The first was for lunch - we had the Caprese Panini and Arugula Salad. The second time was to pick up a salad for a picnic. On our last visit, we bought French chocolates made by French chocolatier Jean-Michele Carré. Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the service was great.“

“Ramen is just ok, had to order Chashu on the side because the ramen I ordered lacked flavor, seemed kind oddly pasty. The Chashu itself was ok also, nothing special. Did not want to keep add stuff just to make it better. Just ok. Maybe an off day.“

“Stopped by for a bite - located conveniently off the 101 and across the street from Anderson's Split pea this cute diner style restaurant has inside seating only- the dining room is decorated with vintage kitchen items from the 1950s and beyond. The wait staff is warm, kind and attentive. We had the club sandwich. It was huge! It comes with fries but I requested a side salad substitute and it was great- homemade croutons, veggies and the salad dressing tasted very fresh. The club sandwich was so huge I took half of it home. It is made the way I like it with lettuce inside each layer of sandwich. Hubby had French Toast made with cinnamon swirl bread. It was delicious and hubby wolfed it down. The portion was also large- maybe 3-4 slices of bread cut in half, dipped in egg, grilled and served hot. Prices were about $15-$20 Per person and parking was easy and plenitful. Only open for breakfast and lunch- they close at 2 PM so plan accordingly. Great place.“

“Was a fabulous experience. The wife and I went to celebrate our anniversary. We made reservations, and arrived on time and were seated immediately. We realized, reservations weren't necessary on a Wednesday but I wasn't gonna chance it. The service was top notch and the food was impeccable. The dress code says “Business Casual” however, being in a casino there were people there in shorts and tee shirts. I don't think they really care about the dress code. They did read the reservation from Open table and we got a dessert that said “Happy Anniversary “. That was a nice finishing touch. Overall, a really nice time and really good dinner.“

“We played bocce tonight and then went for dinner and drinks in the restaurant. It was a gorgeous night and the patio was very busy! We had a large group which I understand can be more difficult. Eric was AMAZING in getting us sat. He was running all over the place wearing many hats. With how busy he was, he still made us feel seen. He took our order and brought as chips, salsa, fries, and onion rings as an apology. He worked his butt off tonight and it was very apparent how passionate he is about his job and how much he cares about the guest experience. Overall, although we had to wait a bit longer than we would have liked, he personally, along with the rest of the very friendly staff, made sure that we were satisfied and had a fantastic evening!“

“Small little taco shop, nothing compared to socal tacos but the food was okay and the service was great. We had to send the enchilada platter back since the entire plate was cold even after they reheated it. However, the staff questioned why we didn’t eat it and offered us full refund for the food. Great service so we left the refund as a tip for the servers.“

“Our visit to the Old Danish Fudge Kitchen in Solvang was delightful. With an array of tempting flavors, we indulged in the dark chocolate walnut and chocolate raspberry fudges, and they did not disappoint. The dark chocolate walnut fudge was a bold experience, offering a richness that was both satisfying and deeply enjoyable. Each bite was a testament to the craftsmanship and quality ingredients used in its creation. Equally impressive was the chocolate raspberry fudge, which burst with flavor and had just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. It was a harmonious blend that left us craving more with every bite. We found the fudge portions to be generously sized. In summary, our experience at the Old Danish Fudge Kitchen was nothing short of delightful. If you find yourself in Solvang craving something sweet, be sure to pay them a visit. You won't be disappointed.“

“Really delicious and authentic Danish food. Served fast even when they're busy. I would recommend getting a sandwich with either the Danish meatball and sausage, which are very unique and are a must-try while you're in the town. And of course you have to try their æbleskiver! I would recommend this place.“

“I came here for the chicken pot pie and it didn't disappoint. That along with the Poutine and guacamole bacon burger were all delicious. It was a raining day and the restaurant is welcoming and cozy. The absolute best thing about the experience was the staff. Mikala was AMAZING. As the rain came down more, more people started to come in and all areas of the restaurant had people in them and she never missed a beat. She was alone in the front and there was the cook in the back and together they helped everyone in a timely manner. I was impressed by her calm demeanor and ability to attend to everyone and get the food out and refill drinks. bus tables and still smile the whole time. As busy as it was there was no pressure feeling or rush to leave. I will for sure visit again the next time we are in town.“

“We have tried Paula's and we have tried Brekkies, so we decided to try this cafe. We were lucky in terms of there were 11 of us and they were able to place us at 3 tables next to each other.
