When the Packing House is just too packed, Rodeo 39 has so many more options without the large crowd making it a great food hall to come with friends who aren't very good at unanimously choosing a restaurant. My personal favorite places are Banh Xeo Boys for the Banh Xeo, Kare for their katsu curry, phoholic for pho (of course), Steel Pan Pizza for their mushroom pizza, and Shootz for their Kimchi Butter Shrimp. Honorable mentions are Tenori and the Mexican restaurant that unfortunately, I can't remember the name of. Grab your food and choose a nice spot on the patio or inside by the bar to grab a drink later and enjoy the variety of options they provide with relatively reasonable prices.“

Extremely attentive staff checking in on us (we never felt forgotten outside). Just on look alone, it looked like what you would see at a high priced sushi spot. They have 50% nigiri, so salmon is like $3.99 for 2 pieces. Tuna is $4.50 for 2 pieces and the most expensive is Otoro at like $15 for 2 pieces. Typically, a 50% off sushi sign would terrify me, and I would be lying if I said i wasn't skeptical the first time I went here but I assure you, the skepticism will be long gone after you see the sushi hit the table. It tastes incredible and it was so good that after going my first time, I went again 2 more times over the course of the next 2 weeks. This sushi spot is 50 minutes from where u live in Santa Monica and I plan to absolutely return soon. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND“

For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. “Finally made it here!! My husband and I went here for date night recently and we ordered the two kinds of meat, the creamy udon, and the cheese tonkatsu. We happen to come on a Friday night a little after they open and luckily it wasn't busy just yet. The service was really fast and the quality of the meat was amazing! The cheese tonkatsu was a bit heavier so by the time we finished grilling our meats and eating some of the udon, we were too full to finish the cheese tonkatsu. The creamy udon is a beef curry udon with a topped layer of this special cream that has this grainy texture similar to mashed potatoes. It was good to try, but I wouldn't get it again. I'll probably try the other noodles that they offer. I really enjoyed the concept of grilling the meat in front of you to your liking. It comes as a set so it was a perfect meal. Very fresh fish - we ordered salmon, halibut, mackerel, bluefin, yellow tail … eel, and salmon Kama every bite was amazing - our chef was very personable. Very good knife skills. I’m convinced that a lot of the sushi restaurants in this area have fake reviews or people just don’t have any idea what good sushi tastes like. Crunchy skin, moist salmon and flavored just right. The salad, though small, was dressed appropriately. The salad dressing very yummy. The miso soup with tofu and seaweed was spot on. Truly not from a packet. My partner ordered the yaki soba. Very reminiscent of our tours in Japan. Brought us back to the little shops of Tokyo.
