“We heard about this place on the rumor mill and decided to stop in on our way to South Lake Tahoe. We decided to spend the night after discovering how adorable the shops are. The pies are amazing. They are all named after countries. I got the Russian Stroganoff (because I love mushrooms) and he got the Italian pie. We loved them. The crunch as you bite into the flaky (all butter - no shortening) crust is a sublime pleasure. Honestly, your brain will explode, their pies are that good. While we ate there, there was a ton of folks coming by (all locals) who bought frozen pies to take home and bake. If I had a cooler, I would have too! I think the best thing is to eat them there. Crispy crust that is still warm from the oven. Mmmmm mmmm mmmmmm! We loved meeting the owner and talking pies with her. Nicest woman ever and boy, does she know pies! She has a devoted following. The Placerville Chamber of Commerce should give her an award. There are people (like us) that come back over and over because they need another fix. I swear there is crack in those pies.“

“I've ordered here for delivery a couple of times now, and I've been happy with their service. By far, my favorite item I've gotten from them is their margherita pizza! I love the whole slices of thin tomato, and they top it with dried Italian herbs, it's so yummy! The ranch here seems to be made in-house, I'm a fan of it. I always order a cheese pizza when I order here, and the cheesy breadsticks, both of which I find to be pretty standard. I actually find the breadsticks to be on the plain, drier side but they're a big hit for the kids in the household. If you're a fan of margherita pizzas, definitely try Formaggio's take on it! Eventually I do want to try their Armenian combo, since that seems to be another popular pizza of theirs and something else from their starters, probably jalapeno poppers.“

“One of the best sandwiches I have had in Old Hangtown (Placerville)! I had the Angry Irishman. It was delicious. It's a grilled sandwich with Corned Beef, Pastrami, Cream Cheese, Havarti, Caramelized Onions, Jalapeños, and Hot Pepper Spread all on beautifully grilled Sourdough. Service was friendly. Inside seating is sparse. Just a few seats at the bar, and a table.“

“Enjoyed a late lunch here on our drive back from Lake Tahoe to the Bay Area. Didn't get to try their Lobster Bisque since they were out (Friday ~2pm), but our daughter loved their clam chowder. The Baked Brie was so delicious - served with warm bread, dried fruit, grilled onions and truffles. It was gone within a few minutes! For our mains, the crab cake sliders were fine, nothing spectacular. But their Salmon Salad was a hit! The salmon was cooked just right, not too dry, with a lightly sweet, refreshing dressing. I wish I could bottle up the dressing and take it home! We'll definitely be coming back when we're in town again.“

She provided catering to serve a group of 65 people and knocked it out of the park. The food was incredible, we received many compliments. Teal was on time, organized, and delivered in every aspect. “I am the host of a foodie Meetup group. My group dined here on Saturday, May 11th for dinner. Food was truly exceptional, perfectly executed dishes, cooked and seasoned perfectly, not trying too hard, rather was high quality food served simply and it was clear the chef knows what they are doing. Service was equally excellent, and the ambience was great - nice outdoor seating and indoor ambience very pleasant as well. Highly recommend, and don't skip dessert. We got 4 different desserts, and each one was was stunningly good. My favorite was the chocolate cake with orange blossom whipped cream - cake was so light and fluffy, and the orange whipped cream set it off so nicely and delicately. Truly a superb restaurant all around. Will definitely be back!“

“Our family lives in Rancho Cordova and we'll happily make our way to Town Center for the pizza and wings at Formaggio Pizza Express. We stopped here after our daughter's soccer game and were pleasantly surprised by all the options available to personalize our pizzas. We also got their wings and they were by far the best, most fresh wings we've had at any pizza spot. We enjoyed it so much we went back later that same week! Our second trip there, my husband and son got to meet the owners and they were kind and helpful making it so easy to want to give them our business. “What a great find. I had two business meetings in Cameron Park and needed a good healthy lunch. Chose to try Yuki Sushi based on previous reviews. The sushi rolls were very generous portions. My friend ordered a couple orders of nigiri and the slices of fish were the thickest cuts I've experienced throughout the tri-county area. Only my regular go-to sushi spot can compete with this little hidden treasure sushi restaurant. I'll definitely be back in the future, each time I come back to Cameron Park. Pricing was moderate, but totally appropriate for the quality of sushi, service and selection of menu items. This is NOT a bargain or budget sushi stop. You get GREAT sushi for a reasonable price.“

Gorgeous atmosphere - has the upscale Asian feel with unique modern art and design. Big bar. The dining area is beautiful. Outside seating is available with nice views of the canal and wildlife. The food was delicious and unique. Many options from sushi, sashimi, to ramen and upscale fish dishes. The chef embraces Japanese cuisine with all sorts of flavors. The ramen was bomb! The bar had 4-5 beers on tap - had even Japanese craft imports. What I loved the most was that they use fresh squeezed juice for their craft cocktails - the key for delicious drinks.
