“So on Tueadays and Thuradays they have deals and by far my favorite item is the Fish Tacos. The salsa they give you is top notch but I'll say the green salsa is superior. On Tueadays it's 1 for 1 on Fish Tacos and on Thursdays it's 1 for 1 on Carne Asada, Pastor, Chicken, and pork. Sadly i love the Fish tacos so much that even tho it's Thursday and I get a craving I just get the Fish tacos. Highly recommend.“

“My husband is from India, so we have eaten a lot of flavorful foods. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. We ordered the five taco plate and sides of corn, mom‘s beans, the vegetarian beans, potatoes with chorizo, corn, and rice. We also tried the coconut rose milk lime drink, and the cucumber salad . My husband, especially like the jeera chicken and corn. I loved the Carne Asada and goat tacos. The green sauce is fabulous. The fresh house made corn tortillas also really take the tacos to the next level. We really enjoyed our meal here. Kudos to the owners for taking such an interesting fusion risk and executing it well.“

“A beautiful date night spot where you can sit beneath string lights nestled in an alleyway, listening to live music (plus, they have outdoor heaters!). Plates are tapas style and the bar is full, with an advantage for mezcal enthusiasts. Bonus- The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They recommended some drinks for us to try and gave us some suggestions on the entrees. The drinks were great and we recommend the sea bass! Nice atmosphere with good service and lots of mezcal.“

“OMG! These are the best tacos I’ve had. I had a taco de carnitas with cilantro, onion and green salsa. They had other topping like nopales, guacamole, and three different salsas. The meat was flavorful and the corn tortillas were made from scratch. I am from the Bay Area visiting family- I will definitely return and tell my family back home.“

“Ordered Marko's Omelet and Chili Cheese Omelet. Both were fantastic! The sourdough bread that came with it was perfectly toasted and buttered. Marko came out to greet us personally and was very warm and kind. Service was great! The dining area was clean and open! Great breakfast joint! Will definitely be back!“

“Great place to experience some new flavor combos. Service was top notch, but for us the flavors were a little dull. Maybe a case of having too high of expectations going in, but the street corn pasta dish was very underwhelming. We wouldn’t have known what it was going for. Again, food was still delicious, maybe worth another shot to try the rest of the menu.“

“El Canton De La Patrona took over the old Fish Grill location and is in the same plaza as El Pollo Loco. My husband and I decided to try this local restaurant. We made an order over the phone for pick up. We ordered: La Patrona Ceviche, $16.95 prior to tax- The ceviche was fresh and refreshing. This order also came with 3 tostadas. The ceviche is made with shrimp, cucumbers, avocados, red onions and tomatoes. I wished I had a few more tostadas. Burrito, $15.95 prior to tax- My husband got the asada burrito, which was packed with rice, beans and lettuce. Cheese and guacamole are also in the burrito. A side of chips are served along side the burrito. This entree was very filling, which my husband ate over 2 meals. 3 item combo, Trio Perfecto, $16.95 prior to tax- For this meal combo, I picked sopes, tamale and soft taco. This meal was also served with a side of rice and beans. My mom enjoyed the tamale and soft taco. We both also enjoyed the rice and beans and I liked the sopes. The 3 item combo is a good portion for one, although a fair amount for 2 to share (for a small dinner). ----------------------------- (Total= $54.96 after tax) Please note that there is a small discount if paying with cash. Service was friendly at pick up. Also it was nice that our food was ready at the time promised when we came to pick it up. My family and I enjoyed El Canton De La Patrona and will most likely order from them again.“

I got the LA burrito and my friend got the chili relleno burrito and she said it was awesome! The chili relleno is a Friday only burrito just fyi. I can’t wait to go again and try something from the Mediterranean part of the menu.“

“I grew up in Arcadia so I was raised going to Taco Treat. This place must be doing something right, as it is probably the longest surviving business and most all of the area, or at least that I know of and I am 67 years old. Great burgers, love their corn dogs and fried burritos. Always good food“

“Without a doubt the best lunch truck in Cali!! Being a truck driver who has been coming to Cali for 30 years and have visted lunch trucks thru out the state makes me an authority on the subject. So you can believe me when I say they're the best. I've eaten here for over a decade and have never been disappointed once. The team that operates it are also the best. Give it a try. You will definitely not go anywhere else again if you do.“

“Food five stars, service five stars...The food is good, I like spicy but they have a good balance of flavor that made the extra spice I usually like unnecessary, the portions are generous. I don't really like mole but after trying some of their mole, I don't think I can continue saying that. The restaurant is cozy, clean and has good/attentive staff. Our server was Rene and he is courteous and attentive, next time I will try their desserts I just wasn't ready for their portions and got full / was left with no room for dessert. The four stars on the atmosphere section is only because, for me to truly judge a restaurant's atmosphere you need to experience it during its busy time when it's buzzing with people and all the staff is present. I love that it is cozy, it is and feels like an authentic family restaurant. I don't like taking pictures of my food as it gets in the way of fully being present and enjoying the experience so go see it and taste it for yourselves. I recommend it.“

“let me tell keep this description short and straight up: fresh handmade corn tortillas, homestyle braised meat, everything you're looking for in a taco There was free parking (a plus) and the service was super FAST! we didn't wait for more than 5 minutes for our food. there's seating indoor and outdoor. The patio was really nice to sit and eat at because they had heaters and it's entirely covered and shaded. Here's what we ordered: -the OG sampler ($10.49) - includes 6 mini tacos of steak picado, bistek en salsa roja, tinga de pollo, mole poblano, chicarron, & cochinita pibil -tinga de pollo (normal sized $3.79) -cochinita pibil (normal sized $3.79) - we got this with a medium spice level but this was SPICY!! I am someone with pretty high spice tolerance and the spice on this got me“

“A no-frills "fast food" spot. They have a very diverse menu consisting of American, Mexican, and Chinese food. I have yet to try any other item besides the burgers and fried zucchini, which I'm a fan of. The service is quick and your food is cooked to order. The burgers are a great size and delicious! Also, do yourself a favor and get the fried zucchini. The batter is nice and crispy, and the zucchini is sliced thick.“

“This place is sooo good!!! My girlfriend and I stopped by on a whim and were treated like family. We met the owner and his wife who were delightful and shared their passion to develop recipes reflective of the various regions in Mexico. We tried their birria which was amazing as well as the pastor and quesadilla with refried beans which was surprisingly delicious. Loved it! If you're visiting the area, stop by and try this locally owned restaurant. It won't disappoint. We'll definitely be back for another round of bean quesadillas and birria! Cheers!!“

“Good spot to pick up some carnitas, chicharon and other goodies. The only thing I really go for is the pork. Word of advice, take some cash because the place is cash only. I didn't see any signage that says cash only and was only aware of it until I had to pay. Felt bad cause I didn't have cash on me and I couldn't pay for my stuff. The place looks a little rundown from the outside and inside but if your Mexican you don't really mind. Also, for those of you who are germophobic, or neurotic about cleanliness, the place is self serve. No mask mandatory for the store, but they do ask that you sanitize your hands before grabbing stuff with tonsils. Do with that what you will. Some people might find that a little weird. Lady inside wasn't super helpful as it gets busy and they're really just charging customers. It's pretty straight forward though as you see what other people are doing and monkey see, monkey do kind of thing. They charge per pound but I also didn't see a sign how much they charge per pound. I bought a out 3.5 pounds of carnitas and it was about $34. You can do the math lol. Also be aware that parking is limited. No dedicated parking. Only residential.“

“I recently dined at Atmosphere and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the service was impeccable. The man with the black blazer provided exceptional service throughout the evening. As for the food, dinner exceeded my expectations – it was absolutely delicious. “Authentic food from Chiapas Mexico. Distinct flavors that all can appreciate at a great price. Had lunch with my family and we were well served and well taken care of. We tried the especially good Torta. I had the tamal with huevos revueltos and It was all delicious. The agua fresca de Melon was also very good and I recommend it if you like it when agua frescas don't carry too much sugar. The place looks like a hole in the wall and it lived up to all the great reviews.“

“I ate here for the first time. I can’t believe I had never tried it! I’m not as much of a fish person, so I got the Torta Asada. It was incredible! The guacamole blended perfectly with the marinade to make a savory creamy complement to the asada. Throw a little lime that’s provided in there and it’s to die for. This will be a new craving!“

“# 129 Review for 2024 ***A Culinary Journey: Authenticity, Tradition, and Flavor Explosion at Tacos Los Palomos*** Overall 5 Stars***** If there's a sacred haven for taco enthusiasts, Tacos Los Palomos is it. Nestled in East LA, this gem embodies the essence of Mexican street food culture. As a self-proclaimed taco inspector, stumbling upon this treasure was a stroke of luck, unraveling a tapestry of flavors that transported me to the heart of culinary authenticity. What sets these taco trucks apart is their unwavering commitment to tradition. It's not just about tacos; it's a testament to preserving heritage, using time-honored recipes and seasonings that make each bite an homage to Mexican street cuisine. The sheer variety of flavors--Lengua, Buche, Tripa, Suadero, and Cueritos--each bursting with its own distinct taste, left an indelible mark on my taste buds. But let's talk about the salsa, specifically the chipotle; it deserves its own accolades. It's not just a condiment; it's a flavor symphony that elevates every taco to a divine experience. Yet, beyond the culinary prowess, these taco trucks serve as a conduit to nostalgia and cultural roots. They transcend the realm of mere dining; they're gateways to cherished memories and a taste of home. Each bite feels like a reunion with flavors that resonate with a deep sense of belonging. Tacos Los Palomos isn't just a taco truck; it's an emblem of community, tradition, and an odyssey through the rich tapestry of Mexican culinary heritage. In a world where authenticity often gets diluted, this place stands tall as a beacon of genuine flavors and cultural significance. In short, if you seek not just a meal but an expedition into the soul of Mexican street cuisine, Tacos Los Palomos deserves not just five stars but a standing ovation for keeping the flame of tradition alive in every savory taco they serve.“

“Visited this establishment the other day. It is a small venue, but the people who work here make you feel welcome. I tried some empanadas (shrimp) were delicious! I had a campechana cocktail and a tostada de camarón. Both of these were also delicious. I loved the chips and salsa and I appreciated the fact that the food here is made fresh as soon as you order. The service here is great. The ladies who work here are courteous and very friendly. It was a good first impression and I would definitely come back to dine here.“

“This place is remodeled from when I last visited. It's spacious, clean and the food is fresh and delicious. ? I had the fish tacos and my wife the chilaquiles. My wife loved her plate which was served with rice and beans. My fish tacos..... WOW!!!! They were delicious. They are now amongst my top 10 of best fish tacos, for sure. The fish portions are huge and barely fit on the regular size tortilla. The taste was fresh, not fishy. It's and absolutely must try. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the many other dishes they serve. As for their prices, the menu did not have any. Our bill for 3 people was $45. This includes sodas and our food. I thought it fair. The service was awesome. They were very attentive and made sure we were content during our visit. The restrooms were very clean and are handicap friendly. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family for dine-in or take out. ❤️Parking: Free parkingWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“

“The carnitas burritos are delicious! The whole thing is super flavorful - the pork is great, the green salsa is fantastic, the tortilla is so good, and the rice and beans add so much to it. “Food and service were terrific. You HAVE TO get the nachos. It's HUGE and loaded with toppings, including a large portion of sour cream and guacamole. Our family of 4 devoured those nachos but were SO full after eating them that we could hardly eat our dinners!! We basically took our entrees ToGo because we couldn't eat anymore. I took off a star bc they were out of horchata and Jamaica drinks and the fountain orange soda tasted weird, almost soapy?? Other than that the food and service were top notch. If we're ever back in Pasadena we will definitely be back. Also, the complimentary chips and salsa are very good too.“

“A friend highly recommend this place. I went for the first time around 4 pm. on a Wednesday afternoon. There was no waiting and a small family eating there. I ordered to go a plate with two burritos with green sauce, beans, and some lettuce and tomatoes. And a burritos quesadilla. The plate was OK, I'm not sure if the lettuce and tomatoes were a topping or an actual salad. If it was a salad, there was no dressing included. The food was okay but expensive for what we got. They only included one salsa for the quesadilla. I can say it was great but decent. I probably won't return for a long time.Parking: There is parking in front of the business.Kid-friendliness: It's a good family environment.“

“Food is great from here. It seems like a simple taco stand but it isn't. They are super friendly and try to go as fast as they can to go through the line. Never had a problem with problem even if it is on the street haven't found a problem. The top choices I like to choose are pastor, lengua, and asada. The lengua is different here since it doesn't have that chewiness that other places have and is super tender. The pastor is a gold char and marinate and the asada has a nice flavor from the grill. They have raw onions and some cooked ones if you ask them for it. Definitely one of my go to spots if I want some tacos.“
