“This Del Taco has improved so so much since Ruth the GM came in.. she's super sweet and always has a smile on her face which is hard to find these days. I purposely come here because everyone is always so friendly including Helen as well. Thank you guys very much and never change!“
“I went to go get lunch today and went through the drive-thru. Perfect service, they were fast. I got the double tostada and it tasted amazing! The workers were very friendly. If you want quick and friendly service and good food definitely come here!“
“Super tasty food, delicious snacks. Everything done at the moment!! And the unique attention. Very friendly and attentive. First time and I was impressed. I recommend it, I will return every time I go from San Francisco to San Fernando Los Angeles. God Bless the workers, owner and Restaurant and prosper them!!!“
“Food is delicious! Been here twice and it doesn't disappoint Service is fast and efficient. Servers are attentive to their tables! Just amazing!Highly recommended for authentic Mexican breakfast, plus i love the music! Got to hear PXNDX! which is one of my favorite bands !“
“Yum! Pulled this spot up with a search in the scv and decided to give it a go! I had the taco lunch plate with a carna asada, Al pastor, and premium chicken taco. The tacos are massive and full of meat and onions and cilantro, (salsa on the side) and they're huge!! I had the corn tacos (gluten free) and my sister and dad each had the flour tacos with the crispy shrimp and crispy fish. Large portions; the plates come with rice and beans, chips and salsa - the red is super spicy, the green is flavorful and mild. We also ordered a carne asada burrito and added zucchini and bell peppers- huge and delicious! I suggest ordering a large guacamole on the side too- everything was seasoned well and we will be back! The carne asada was my favorite taco- such tender meat and a great flavor combo with the lemon, salsa all together! My sister and dad said the shrimp tacos were their favorite- can't go wrong at this location! Great service- we called in and picked up 15 min later! So fresh and fantastic, they aren't open weekends- 10-2:30pm Monday- Friday Still soooo full“
“Wow I am so happy I found this restaurant. Doesn't seem like much from the outside but oh my goodness it is nice on the inside. I love the vibes. I've gone in this shopping center plenty times and I have never seen this place and I thank yelp for making it known! Wow there food is so good! Super authentic and tastes homemade. Reasonable prices. Huge portions and super filling food. I want to try more!!! Servers were great!! They are super understaffed here and were working their butts off! Making sure we were okay, getting us drinks very fast, making sure to recognize that we were waiting and rushing to get to us despite it being busy! and it still didn't take as long as other places where they do have the staff!! Also they are super friendly! It seemed like many people who were there were friends with the servers! And that says something about the service! I loved how cute the inside of this place looked and honestly I wasn't expecting it to look this way from the outside. It is much bigger than it looks on the outside and way nicer too. Comfy booths and big tables for large parties! I am happy I came here and I am so happy this exists in SCV! I feel like we don't have that many good authentic Mexican restaurants, and this is definitely one of the good ones! So excited to come back and taste more of the food!“
“I just stopped by today and had a great experience here. I got carnitas and al pastor street tacos and they were unbelievable. Such great flavors in the meat. Also the green and red salsa were very complimentary (red salsa is smoky spicy yum). Got the asada quesadilla for the kids (of course I had a bite) and was really pleased with the asada flavor too! Even the sour cream is great, homemade you can tell. The attention to quality is apparent!I am super glad because the first few times I was not impressed. Maybe I got the wrong things, and it seemed expensive, but everything was great at the service was great as well! It was only $20 and was enough food for 3 adults. Saw they have really good $12 lunch deals now too. Can't wait to come back!!“
“Food was really good. Pretty large menu selection. Service was amazing for a counter-service restaurant. There’s a complimentary chips and salsa bar. Not a whole lot of sitting room but adequate for what’s necessary. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area and looking for Mexican food.“
“For take out of delivery to your office this place is great! The pricing is great! We love getting the hardshell taco (5 chicken, 5 beef). Comes with chips and salsa. We added on a small side of guacamole. The nachos were decent. Good size portion. This place offers good tasting Mexican food without breaking the bank.“
“At Villanueva Mexican Restaurant, embark on a salsa odyssey that elevates the ordinary to extraordinary! Their legendary salsa bar, a carnival of flavors, turns each bite into a fiesta. The shrimp fajitas, while promising a flavor explosion, waded through a sea of gravy, a twist in our culinary tale. Though this unexpected plot thickens our journey, the salsas alone make Villanueva a treasure worth exploring. It's a solid four-star adventure, where every dip transports you closer to Mexico. Dive into Villanueva for a taste escapade that’s almost perfect – just watch out for the gravy waves!Recommendations:Their salsa bar!Vegetarian options: Few vegetarian items“
“I revisited this place after years, having been a regular from 2007 to 2014 growing up. Surprisingly, nothing much has changed, except for the owner sporting grey hairs and the welcomed addition of card payments. The familiar great taste of the food, horchata, and salsa remain the same in a good way.“
“Amazing food!! Great friendly service. I am hooked I have been getting my shrimp from MichexGod for a while now and it is one of those foods that you'd say "I can eat this everyday for lunch" the shrimp is big and delicious and the botana is full of flavor! From the lemon to the amazing sauces not to mention they top it with the chili powder, making every bite an amazing, sweet, and citrusy adventure that you dont want to end. The tacos on the other side are delicious and very filling. They also have taco Thurdays, so this Thursday make sure you stop by and take your tastebuds on an amazing journey. Service: 100% Taste:100% Price:$$“
“The asada tacos were good, pastor was ok, and the chorizo was not my fav but the tortillas are made fresh and they do smell like Tijuana tacos. There's plenty of indoor seating . Bathroom was clean but has no baby changing station. Private parking lot with lots of parking places. Customer service was great.“
“First time trying La Cocina Bar & Grill. I liked the decor and obeisance. The service is impeccable. The prices are fair. We had dinner on Saturday and it crazy busy. We were quoted 35 minutes waiting time for seating. It turns out to be less than 20 minutes. Service was quick. The food came out hot from the kitchen. I thought my burrito was ok but the meat wasn't as tender as i would have liked it. We thought the margaritas were tasty but seems to be weak with alcohol. We had a great time and we definitely will return for another meal.“
“We ordered the Vista Al Mar appetizer with a pitcher of margaritas. The place is very clean. We found it to be a decent spot and definitely plan to come again. Next time I want to try to Birra tacos.Vegetarian options: There are veggie options.“
“Jerry's Coffee Shop is not just yummy; it's a delightful haven for coffee lovers and food enthusiasts alike! The friendly atmosphere and welcoming staff create a warm and inviting environment. Under the new management, the experience has been elevated to a whole new level. The coffee is rich and flavorful, and the food is consistently delicious. I absolutely love the positive changes they've made, and it's become one of my favorite spots for a scrumptious meal and a friendly chat. Jerry's Coffee Shop is a true gem, thanks to the wonderful new management!“
“After hearing about this restaurant and bar for some time, I finally stopped in for a dinner for one. The margarita was very nice, the combo was hot and delicious, and the staff were such a nice and pleasant team. I will definitely be back...soon!“
“I love Casa Lupitas! I found them 2 years ago when I needed something fast to eat before my son's soccer game but I didn't want "fast food". Their chips and salsa is amazing. I go back often for chips and salsa. I finally shared the place with my family. We had dinner there and it was so good. Everyone left full and happy and I didn't have to spend a fortune.“
“One of those great little Mexican restaurant finds in Santa Clarita. The charcoal chicken is very good, as well as the traditional sides. Recently tried the Birria tacos, quite delicious. Seek out this place, it has a lot more than chicken! Chances are you know where the Taco Bell is...Charcoal Grill Chicken is their neighbor.“
“The carne asada (beef)street tacos were really good! My husband enjoyed breakfast fare, houveros rancheros, and was quite happy. The wall menu is a bit busy, maybe difficult to follow, but look closely (especially at the separate list of taco meats)) and you will most likely find something that makes you happy.Parking: Parking on main street or in the parking structure across the street.“
“Moving to simi is a big culture shock. I been too many Mexican restaurants(in simi area) and they all have failed, but Burger express saved the day. Me and my family came to burger express,The staff is very friendly,They have big menu with authentic Mexican food. I order the asada burrito (wet) it was delicious. The rice and beans had perfect flavoring, the asada was not dry. My partner order the Chile verde burrito, the meat was well cooked the meat had lots of flavor. The food service was really fast. I highly recommend if you are looking for real Authentic Mexican food.“
“I visited this location for the first time and was greeted with friendly service from Logan, one of the team members. The carnitas taco was so good, and the grilled chicken taco was awesome. (Worth every dollar!) Ambience felt nice. Would recommend this place to others. Will definitely be back the next time we pass by. -Oliver J. ;-)“
“A very positive dining experience. The staff is awesome and the food delicious. From your first visit you're treated like an old friend. They even remembered my name after my first visit. Don't miss out, give this place a try, you won't be disappointed. “
“Food was delicious and our server was very attentive. There was little to no ambiance, but it was clean and comfortable. Most customers were doing takeout. I had a bit of trouble understanding the menu and used price as my guide as to how much to order. I ordered way too much. The prices are very reasonable and all five of us were impressed enough to agree to go back again this weekend. I had shrimp ceviche tostadas and the shrimp was very fresh.“
“I didn't know this was going to have THIS many vegan options. Half the menu is vegan & they have a separate vegan menu so it's easy. You can basically get anything and they have like 6 vegan meat options. My favorites are the Flautas, Wet Burrito, Nachos & Enchilada combo. This place needs to be talked about more lol Updated from previous review on 2024-02-11“
“Parking is not an issue. Staff is very kind and helpful. Prices and portions are fair. Specials available at this fast casual and cozy spot. They also have deals depending on the day with their tacos. Menu has a good variety. Free chips and a delicious salsa when you check in on Yelp.“
“This is our go-to Mexican restaurant since it opened. I really love the fish tacos and several of their specialty dishes. Quite honestly, the tacos are just great with their rice and beans. Ask for their hot salsa if you are up to it!Parking: Sometimes parking can be difficult, most times you can find a space.“
“Great food, great service. And nice atmidphere. Even though we were in a corner booth, the waiter made sure our glasses were full and checked on us often. Food is always good here. Love the salsa! Jase always waves from the bar. It feels like the staff actually cate that you're there.Parking: Excellent!“
“The strongest Margaritas in Simi Valley! If you want a guaranteed “heavy pour” Margarita, Don Cuco’s will deliver. Equally important is their impressive and diverse menu, including many authentic Mexican dishes. Absolutely worth a visit, if you’ve never been there. It has a huge following for everyone familiar with their cuisine.“
“They have wonderful tacos for Taco Tuesday. They're huge and very inexpensive. They also have a great happy hour. The house margarita is spot on. We had the Cadillac margarita the first time but switched to the regular the second visit. It was flavorful, not too sweet and larger than the Cadillac which was $2 more. The staff is very attentive and the place is very clean. I highly recommend it.“
“The menu is true Mexican cuisine and not fancy border food. Thank goodness we had a waiter who was both engaging and knowledgeable. He recommended a dish made of four separate and distinct mole enchiladas that was absolutely delicious! He also suggested a Mexican beer that paired perfectly even though this young man didn't appear old enough to be of drinking age or just barely. I believe his name was Michael, and he was fluent in Spanish. Also, the chips and salsa(s) were on another level! Expensive comparatively but worth it if you want a culinary adventure in SCV. The only negative was the table lighting: so dark I was using my phone to see the menu, so great service really helped. We will be back to try the Mezcals for sure!“
“Omg! This place was the greatest surprise! Listen, I have had my share of Mexican food -OH KAY! lol ?- jokes aside, this place, the food is good! The service is excellent! The appetizers tostadas deli! Plus, there is great ample parking space, and they are open till 11 pm! Check it out! Let’s support this business!! Oh-oh, reasonable food prices!!“
“Called in an order, arrived at the time they had indicated it would be ready. Took awhile before anyone acknowledged my presence to pay, took another few minutes for my take out to be ready. The panzon and carnitas are excellent. I'll come back for those.“
“I had been at this place before but I can say that this time was magnificent, even we waited for a while i have to say that it was worth it food was so delicious and perfect with friendly costumer service, clean restaurant and bathrooms..I can't wait to come back and enjoy this wonderful experience one more timeThank you, El Patio Crew.“
“With taco trucks being all the rage this is one that you need to visit. The Birria Tacos here are bar none the best that I've had. Don't get me started with their other offerings of burritos, here. They are big full of flavor and well worth the price. The quesadillas are my next favorite, but believe me everything here is good.Parking: The only thing about the parking here is that there's just a few spots around the truck that are available so it's going to be a walk if you have to park right on the street. If not, the business that is right in front has a big lot where you could just sit there and eat your food after you get it just make sure it's on the weekend. I'm pretty sure they're not too happy if you're parking there during the week.“
“This is truly a Ma and Pa business and is my go to place for lunch or dinner here in town. The food is always good as well as the service. You get a good portion of food at a fair price. Being a senior I'm always wanting to get the most for my money and Chabelo's delivers .Parking: Plenty of parking spaces.Wheelchair accessibility: Double entry doors and inside there are several tables as well as booths. Tables are easily accessible for wheelchairs.“
“I popped in at 9:30 pm on Super Bowl Sunday and had a nice meal. I live in Simi Valley and all the Mexican food places close by 9 or 10 pm. I didn't wanna be rushed so it was nice they're open til 11. Walked in and was greeted by Tony I believe who was sweeping the floor. We talked some football. Didn't catch the name of the nice lady behind 5he register but she was cool too.. They are really nice. They got my Super Nachos out to me in a just a few minutes. For meat I had lengua. The lengua was nice and tender and had just the right amount of flavor. Everything was fresh and the portion was just how I like it. Big! The Jamaica drink was full of flavor and nice and cold. They also have a salsa bar. I will definitely go back and support this family owned business.Parking: It is a small plaza and unless uts later at night parking will be a lil difficult. Not a deal breaker tho.“
“This is my favorite Mexican restaurant in Santa Clarita! The food is always so fresh and the staff is the best, always friendly and make you feel at home. I go here all the time, at least 1 or 2 a week after a hard climb at top out, down the street.Vegetarian options: The veggie burrito is the best! You don't even have to pay for your avocado since it comes with it... I always add grilled bell peppers and pico in the burrito. So good and I love it“
“Very small, cold. Food was well prepared. My menudo was great. Bean tasted homemade and great. Asada great seasoning. Plan on visiting again and trying something differentParking: Very sm plaza. Parking difficult. Lucky today, Parking was easy, not busy today,( wkend)“
“I ordered delivery, I was looking for a good chile relleno since I had bas experiences previously trying out places I wasn’t familiar with; I wasn’t expecting much. I am so happy I tried it and ordered because the food was absolutely delicious! The Flan is also amazing! Truly real Mexican food.“
“A good friend recently treated me to a Chili Reono Buritto, and I was very pleased with the taste, the presentation, and the size of the Buritto!?☆☆☆☆☆?The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean and the Buritto was excellent!????I Highly Recommended Casa Pasila Mexican Restaurant!!“
“The only spot for tacos, unbelievable service, and kindest staff from the front to the servers. Don't get me started on the food, specifically the tacos... could eat these every single day of my life. Appreciate the amazing atmosphere and people here every time! Be back soon, Maria Bonitas!!“
“Delicious Delicious!! Their burrito is HUGE and flavorful. Highly recommended.Their specials on the white board are all in Spanish so a non Spanish like myself has no idea what they are.I saw coca-cola soda fountain but I am not sure whether it is working or not. Looking old photos from here and what I saw on my visit, they now have soda cans in lieu of salsas.“
“This was my first visit and the authenticity of the food was pleasantly surprising. I ordered the shrimp ceviche and bistec ranchero, both of which were delicious. I highly recommend this place if you are seeking quality dishes at an affordable price.“
“I came here at the beginning of the school year with members of my department and the food was so good! The salsa was also quite tasty. I got flautas and they actually had seasoned chicken inside. Sometimes, places don't season their fillings, which I find baffling. So glad that I've found this place. Not super fast service, but also not super slow.“
“If you're headed up north, and you're going over the grapevine, stop in Castaic and find this taco truck. They only take cash, but the food is absolutely amazing. We've ordered tacos and burritos and none of them. Disappointed at all. They came out fairly quickly and the cook greeted us with a smile. They have a few tables and chairs outside the taco stand that you can enjoy your meal on along with some fresh salsa selections, which were fire fire“
“We tried the location in Santa Clarita after bowling. I did know there was a location close to us. We were excited to try and see if we had the same experience. The restaurant was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was out pretty fast. The tacos de asada were great. Especially with the salsa. The birria quesadilla was full of meat the consomé was full of flavor. The Guanato fries were both delicious. I had mine with everything. My son opted to put the salsa as he went. The al pastor and chorizo did taste a lot like clove which I'm not a huge fan of. That wasn't the case at the Santa Clarita location. Other than that, pretty solid food.“
“We went for dinner on a Sunday about 8 pm. The place had a lot of customers even though they close at 9 pm.The staff was friendly and attentive. My girls liked the kids menu and are their leftovers the next day.I had the fried quesadillas and shared a couple tacos and everything was really good.We had a very pleasant outing.Vegetarian options: Lots of options.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu“
“The location isn't ideal (personally), if it rains the sidewalk area is dirt so its muddy. However, its the best food truck in the area for items with Asada meat. They have snacks on the side you can purchase as well (chips, aguas Fresca in a bottle, soda, Mexican candy, nuts, etc). The menu has everything from sopes, tortas, burritos, tacos, tostadas, etc.Service is fairly quick and fairly priced. They do accept credit/debit cards, as well as cash.Packaging is neat as well. Paper plate covered with foil very nearly done and bagged in a plastic back for take out. Must stop every time we are heading back home.Parking isn't ideal either, basically you park where ever you see parking on the side of the road. However because their service is quick, you can usually find parking behind/infront of the food truck next to the parking. Also, the salsa is a tad but spicy. . .good but you'll definitely taste it. So if you ask "con todo" make sure you're okay with the spice.“
“It’s a quiet place 3 miles from six flags. Very frieny n helpful staff but all the protein options looks great n lots of fresh toppings available. I ordered small poke but quantity wise I felt it was medium poke. Sauces were great too. I ordered 2 proteins salmon n tuna.“
