“Stopped in for the vegan lahmajun and unfortunately the only lahmajun available today was meat. Nonetheless, the ladies working behind the counter were very friendly and helpful explaining what other items were available. So walked around and quickly realized although I'm not a cake person the cakes here are indeed beautiful and the other desserts looked mighty nice, too. Picked up a few little chocolate cookies for a friend, Also saw some packaged corn chips and candies . Free parking was easy right out front. I wouldn't hesitate coming back.“

Family owned shop with the mom and son working when my friend and I went in. So much variety, and the price point is low for all you’re getting.This is a bakery making old school, classic recipes. They veganized so many items that you can’t find in most places. The chocolate chip cookies were delicious, concha’s super tasty, Tres Leches was chef’s kiss, turnover amazing, danish great, cupcakes yum, eclairs fantastic and empanadas scrumptious. Highly recommend. Plus for folks who like supporting small business, this is exactly that. It’s a win-win-win-win. Taste-options-price-family owned & operated. Get there!“

“Cute outdoor cafe with delicious scones and tea. My party had a variety of flavors and everyone enjoyed their choices. My favorites are the matcha white chocolate , ube coconut and chocolate chip. The options for vegetarian sandwiches and vegan/gluten free scones were yummy and appreciated.“

“Solid American Restaurant serving up good burgers and drinks!They have a solid tap list for beer!House chips are crunchy and addicting.Their fries are crispy and solid with the aioli sauce!Burgers are supposedly American wagyu! It was a nice melt in your mouth patty. The toppings are something serious. Amazing bacon, pretty good mushrooms, delicious camerlized onions. “Every time I visit LA I stop by Spitz for a Mediterranean falafel wrap and half and half fries. It is always consistent, fresh, flavorful and filling. I crave the falafel wrap when I'm back home on the East Coast but haven't found anything that compares.“

“First time trying this place out. A busy coffee shop with both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of people studying and working most likely while enjoying their drinks. I got the cold brew but didn't like it much, it was a bit too acidic for my taste. Will try other things next time I'm here. But I gotta mention it was the cheapest cold brew I ever bought, $4 for a 16oz ... they also sell baked goods such as scones and biscotti etc.... Service was friendly and fast. The ambiance is ok.“

The shrimp soup was perfectly spicy and packed with wonderful flavors, the appetizers (hot wings and chicken skewers) were outstanding and my entree - pad see ew with beef was just perfect. “I recently moved to the area and this was our first time at The Proper Restaurant but it most certainly won't be our last. Everything ... and I mean everything was excellent! I started out with the Proper Clover Club cocktail and it was so refreshing and delicious. My husband and I then shared the white chicken chili which was equally delicious. For our entrees, my husband ordered the miso salmon which was out of this world and I got the chicken piccata. The chicken was cooked perfectly, lightly breaded and the pasta was tossed in a wonderful lemonny piccata. I also had a Malbec which was so smooth, I wanted to order the whole bottle (but alas, I did not). And since everything else was so good, we couldn't leave without ordering dessert -- the warm butter toffee cake. My mouth is still watering thinking about it. I can't wait to go back to The Proper Restaurant!“

“Best local frozen yogurt and ice cream shop--always providing amazing customer service, tasty quality flavors and toppings (like their marshmallow sauce and 10/10 cookie dough), and endless customization options. The service is always speedy and friendly, employees will offer great recommendations. Located inside the Gelson's market, you can get your grocery shopping done while they keep your order chilled for you, and pick it up on the way out. Or you can stay in and get it delivered. The cake batter and chocolate flavors are my favorite but you can't go wrong with any of the ice cream or yogurt options. Highly recommend this spot!“

“I've been coming here for years, I can't believe I haven't written a review! I love their food. My favorite item to order is their mung bean pad thai, although I wish there was an option to get it with soy chicken or beef and not just tofu skewers. The tofu cubes are huge so the flavor doesn't really penetrate them. I like this dish because the noodles and veggies are flavorful. My family also enjoys cashew nut lover dish and the buddha rolls. Those are so filling, I can just get those and be happy. If you like thai tea, you must try it here. So good. One star off because parking is difficult, especially on weekends, and it's a little pricy for me. The good thing is that inflation has led to all restaurants raising their prices in the last couple of years, so I am more used to it and not as bothered as I used to be . Note: the seats are incredibly uncomfortable so if you dine in and have back issues like me, bring a cushion.“

“Wanted a non-chain savory breakfast and Miracle Bakery popped up. Super nice owner has a sparkling clean,adorable corner bakery across from my motel. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese,lettuce, avocado) with brewed coffee for $10. Can't beat the taste, quality or service.Vegetarian options: Ordered the breakfast sandwich, very good, just skip meat. There are a couple other choices.“

“This is one of my favorite brunch places in LA! The loco moco hits everytime and the matcha pancakes are something I order every time I eat here. Their pancakes are also something that my friends and I love to share. Service is fairly quick, I'd say food arrives 10 min after seating. They do get busy in the morning, so be sure to come early!“

“We went out of our way to try this place on a spring break vacation from Canada. With two celiacs in our party, we were very pleased. The gluten free garlic knot dough is so fluffy! The fresh garlic taste was a bit strong for my daughter, but the adults loved it. The basic gluten free pizza dough was really chewy and tasty, even for the 10-year-old. The adults tried the broccoli crust, which was interesting. I'd be interested to try more crusts if we lived closer! We were proactively asked if there was a gluten allergy, and then told that the kitchen has a separate gluten-free area and oven. I also really liked the EDM playing in the restaurant!“

“I stopped here for breakfast before going to Universal Studios Hollywood as it's located so close. I really enjoyed the food and atmosphere! This is a cute little French cafe. The decor was very thoughtful with French flags and cozy seats. I wish it was night time as it looked like they have lovely fairy lights for the evenings. The person at the register was friendly and our food was fresh made and probably took about 20 minutes to arrive. I ordered the alpine tartine without bacon and it was DIVINE. I really enjoyed it and the mix of Brie, sour cream, egg, potatoes, and bread. I did add some hot sauce and pepper but it was very good. I appreciate the side salad to balance out the heaviness. I did not have space for their pastries but they looked amazing. I will say the one major downside is that they did not have espresso or specialty drinks when I visited which I found disappointing. I got a canned cold coffee which was okay. I would've loved a latte or cappuccino to pair with my breakfast.“

The person working there was really genuine and passionate about the shop which made the experience even more pleasant.Only downside is no samples allowed. “Came here on a rainy day with my dog and loved what a great spot this was. It was pretty dead but the coffee selection was great (although espresso was a little burnt), there is ample space for your dog outside and inside. Highly recommend the empanadas!“

“For all espresso snobs, it's legit! I was pleasantly surprised. I got a latte. Never get syrups or sugar and very balanced and smooth. Interesting notes. Really nice. Milk was great texture and temperature. I don't live close but anytime I'm in the area I know where I'm going. Tips for this location: This location is not their storefront!! this is where their production kitchen is located. this location is for advanced order pickups. second: they do not have a display case and do not have cakes, pies or breakfast items for same day orders. you have to order this stuff in advance. third: always call to see what they have available. it is a very limited menu. call their storefront in west hollywood if you need cakes or anything else. *ALSO* They are not a vegan-exclusive bakery! Nor is it a gluten free facility.“

Also, their menus reflect cash prices so if you pay with a card they charge you more. Just pay your employees a livable wage???? Had the half lemon herb chicken - huge portion. The sides that came with the dish were wonderful, chicken was flavorful but also a bit difficult to eat. Inside & outside seating available, restroom was clean. There were quite a bit of flies hanging around inside the dining room. With all my complaints, the food was solid.“

“Black Elephant was phenomenal in every way. It’s a quaint, albeit small coffee shop in Burbank, with limited bench seats lining the walls. The baristas were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I ordered the Mexican elephant mocha, a ham and cheese croissant, and a banana bread loaf. Each one of these items far exceeded my expectations. The mocha was not too sweet, with just a hint of spiciness, and the croissant was delicious. The banana bread, no joke, was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Every summer, I make an appointment with Mary 2-3 weeks prior to my birthday and she always is eager and ready to bring my ideas to reality in her creative space. Even after we have finalized all the details, she will contact me a couple times prior to the pick up date just to verify the details or to suggest new ideas. I have purchased my birthday cake every year for the last 4 years at Helena Wirth Cakes. This year for my 30th Birthday, I came to Mary very excited for my 30th birthday cake. The cake is themed with ideas from my favorite TV series. Once again, she created the perfect cake for my birthday and made my 30th birthday very special! She is an Amazing Woman and her business produces perfect Cakes!“

“Could not recommend Sugar Babies more! I reached out to Mae via email to inquire about a dessert spread for a baby shower. I sent along some inspiration photos for the theme and requested a quote and she got back to me with the best prices in the LA area. Not only did the desserts turn out so cute, they were delicious too! Such a big hit with the guests. Mae was great with communicating via email exchange and pick up on the day of was seamless. We will definitely be reaching out to Mae and her team for more events and dessert needs.“

My go to chocolate almond croissant is car artisan chocolate in Pasadena but usually by the time I get there they're sold out most of the time so I've been on the looking for another place to get my croissant fix and I can safely say I've found it. You have to order two days in advance and pickup before 3pm but it's worth it for sure. Everything I got was good and I plan on trying the rest of their offerings over the next few weeks. The lady at the door was also super friendly. The store was easy to find but parking was kind of hard to find when I went at 1pm.“
