“The food is amazing here. Always excellent. Always made the same consistent way each time we have been here. The staff is SUPER friendly and they have a beautiful dog-friendly patio. It does get really busy at lunch on Saturdays so be prepared if you come that day. Weekdays tend to be a lot slower. It quickly has become my favorite place to eat and is my go-to place now. The food is just as good delivered as well. Cannot go wrong here. Especially with the Chicken Club. Delicious. Fries are really good too.”

“This is possibly the best place ever. We got to meet the owner, Mike, who is so hardworking and welcoming! He even offered scissors to cut the pizza for our toddler son (who loved the toys he provides for kids! Such a smart idea) The employees all here were helpful in picking the right slices and they hustleeeeee. The pizza itself is freaking heaven: sourdough, anyone? The Korean potato pizza with vegetables is hands down my #1 favorite with their house made spicy ranch! You can taste and see the freshness of the ingredients. They also gracefully offer water bottles complimentary, their slices are HUGE (ask for double slicing if you have kids). This location is in a Grocery Outlet plaza and in the corner close to the cleaners. The inside ambiance is BANGING- everything is so cool-looking, with the lights and the nostalgic Ms. PAC-Man arcade game. Wow, wow, wow. We will 100% be back… over and over.”

“All their drinks are good. Just make sure you have an hour to spend from the start of the line to getting your drink(s). Not bad if the weather is okay, but definitely not the most accessible for people with mobility issues.
The space inside is very minimal. Basically only in there to order, pay, and retrieve your drinks, but when you are in there you can see the whole staff working really hard to get your drinks out fast and with care. Seems like they work through a constant rush and are always super nice about it !”

“I've been meaning to come here for a while now because I heard the bread was good. I can confidently say that this is true.

We ended up getting a loaf of rye bread (not pictured), a sweet scone, and a savory croissant. The loaf of bread had a good crust and was very pillowy inside. The scone had a sweet citrus flavor to it that I really enjoyed. It's very dense so I would recommend getting a drink with it. And the croissant threw me for a loop when I tasted it. I wasn't expecting a savory flavor from it even though it's in the name, but it's still very good.

We got some coffees also, just a simple vanilla latte and a latte with their house cinnamon sugar. Both coffees were serviceable. Would definitely come back for the bread alone.”

I came for the first time a week ago while looking for a good sushi spot in Tustin. Since then, I have been four times, one for dinner and three for lunch. I have brought five different people here, and they all share the same feelings as me.

As far as the prices go, this place is 1000% worth it. The quality and preparation make it significantly better than other sushi restaurants.

“Living in the boonies of San Diego Co has benefits…(no traffic jams)…but few awesome perks…(like Tiki bars!!) Luckily the gods aligned, in Orange Co, and our last stop was the Stowaway. Intriguing, dark-painted, one small door marked the front of a strip-mall establishment… hmmm…sorta scary…but not really!! But there were two of us, and we had researched this place…so… The doorman looked at us, said a few things and unlocked a chain. We walked through curtains into the darkest bar I had ever been in, and shuffled toward the green lit bar…which turned red, then blue. The girl bartender handed us a card which we couldn’t read…it was really dark inside. From the shadows, up walked a bearded guy wearing a black shirt with hibiscus’s, smiled, extended his hand and said, “Hi, I’m “WILL”…can I explain anything to you? We had lots of questions…about drinks, Tiki ceramics, glassware, appetizers…and WILL cheerfully explained everything…He was fun, cheery, smart, and So Nice!! He brought us amazing drinks (a Tropical Margarita, a Cococano and totally fun ceramic sculptures from which to drink…an Angler Zombie Fish with a light, and Carved Volcano mug that had a flame show-by WILL, included!! Awesome!!) Totally wonderful décor…lights, bamboo furniture, comfy stools, the Skull Cave and waterfall, starry night ceiling, cool pool tables with lotsa room around them…everything thought through perfectly!!! We are definitely going back…VERY soon!!!! Thanks so much for everything, WILL!!”

“Whenever I get a craving for Thai this is my go to spot. The food is authentic delicious and Just plain beautiful. The prices are reasonable the portions are large. The atmosphere can be busy, but comforting and relaxing, like a coffeehouse. The hustle and bustle of people coming in doesn’t distract from the atmosphere. In fact, it adds to it. I have always judged a Thai restaurant by their Tom kha kai. The first time I had it here I knew I was in for some good Thai. I’ve been making Tom kha gai at home for years now I know how it’s done and the subtleties of the ingredients. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“The best spicy Chinese Food in OC/LA area hands down! They have been Michelin recommended for a reason. Their food has lots of depth of umami flavors with a good amount of spice with a refined touch. Their none spicy broths are especially good too. My faves are their dry pots, toothpick lambs, Qiao Jiao Beef. We also like their spicy ribs and boiled fish in chilli sauce, and Mao cai. Service is great too!”

“This was the only place I could find that was close-by, that 4 generations could agree on one pizza!

We were going to try a nearby place, but the large 1-topping 🍕 here was about 1/3 of the price as the nearby place that recently opened, and we couldn't agree on toppings. I figured we could get 2 pizzas here and still beat the price, but one turned out to be enough for 4 people (grandma doesn't eat much, so finishing the whole slice was a big deal for her). The taste and price is great, but gave 4 stars because it did unfortunately give me a bit of heartburn. Their home style RANCH sauce and the GARLIC BUTTER sauce does taste quite good!!! But I may have to do without the butter sauce next time, as we don't typically eat heavier meals in our family.

That being said, the pizza looked great when we came to pick it up, was fluffy, and crust was good... The free parmesan cheese packets that they offer really weren't the best- I've definitely had better parmesan, but I just personally couldn't justify an extra $20 for maybe slightly fresher parmesan & toppings (but still just bread & sauce). I can use my own parmesan next time. 😆

We've only ordered for takeout, so I can't really speak for the atmosphere dining in, but it seemed quiet enough inside. More like a traditional pizza place with older lighting and some arcade games. Definitely not a modern pizza place, but that did not matter to us.

I also came about 20 mins late for the pickup last time, and the pizza was still warm and looked fresh. Easy to microwave a leftover slice without getting soggy the next day too.

All in all, for just the price alone, we'll be ordering again.”

“Seven Grams is a restaurant specialized in Chinese cuisine, especially dumplings and noodles. The service was good. The food was decent and pricing was pretty reasonable. We enjoyed our dinner, though nothing really wowed me.

Note: The soy sauce bottle actually contained both soy sauce and vinegar. The vinegar taste was quite overwhelming. It would be better if they were separate. I ended up skipping this and just had the chili oil instead.

* Shrimp XLB 4/5 - XLBs are soup dumplings and these came with shrimp and pork inside. They were good, but there was an aftertaste I didn't like. It was either gamey or fishy. I didn't really taste this from the other dishes.

* Wontons with Chili Sauce 4/5 - I liked the mild kick of these wontons. They were good, though the chilli sauce wasn't as addicting as other places.

* Scallion Pancakes 4.5/5 - These were very crispy and made a fun snack for the table.

* Pan Fried Dumpling 4/5 - These were good, though not outstanding. I was expecting a more crispy texture, but they were kind of soft. Some of them also had soup inside like the XLB. Not a bad thing, but not quite what I thought they'd be.

* Golden Prime Beef Noodle Soup 4/5 - This was quite spicy, maybe medium to medium high level of spiciness. It came with noodles, vegetables, pickled vegetables, and thinly sliced beef. It tasted like a comforting homemade meal.”

Overall, the food is great and flavorful. The curry is slightly sweet and savory, not the floral or overly spiced one. I love that the food stays hot since they're served on sizzling plates/bowl. I loved dipping my burger into the sauce. It was definitely an experience!

The service (from Elaine) was excellent and there is ample parking. I recommend! OH, kids eat free on weekdays.”

“This is our favorite sushi restaurant. The prices are very affordable, and the quality of the fish is excellent. The service used to be very poor, so we only came for the food, but they changed owners and brought in new servers. Now both the service and the food are great—so much that there’s always a line to get in on the weekends.”

“Prices are great, especially on Taco Tuesdays, and the food we usually get—fish and shrimp tacos, horchata or Jamaica, and fried ice cream—is pretty good! The fish tacos come with a nice white sauce, too. I forgot to add that the amount in your taco for the price cannot be beat in this area.

Parking is in a busy and very tight strip mall, and can be difficult to find when it's busy, and the restaurant gets pretty crowded. The doors also open (both ways) very close to the register, which can make the entrance difficult to navigate with small children. I'd try to pull up close & leave kids in car for take out orders.

They do have outdoor seating, which is nice for good-weather days, but the tables aren't consistently cleaned and the seating is pretty basic. One time my son wanted to eat there rather than wait, and the back tables were littered with food & beer cans from a group that had already left. We waited a few mins & were able to find another table that I wiped down myself, but the next group had to find staff and wait for them to clear the beer cans.

I think having one additional staff member during the busiest times could make a difference. The employees look a bit overwhelmed with busy rush or when crowded, and they only have one register. Someone helping with tables and orders could really improve the experience.

Overall, it's a small, popular spot with decent food at a good price. Especially on Tuesdays. If you're planning to eat there, I recommend ordering ahead and going at a less busy time. I would happily add another star if the outdoor seating were kept cleaner and they found some matching chairs or were a little better maintained.

But for takeout or judging just on food alone, it is worth it.”

“I see why this place has such high reviews... at first, I was a bit skeptical, but I am so happy I decided to try 9 Dish out. It might even be my new favorite soft tofu house... As a Korean who frequents BCD and Kaju, I was very pleasantly surprised by 9 Dish's dining experience. They served small appetizers of soup and salad first, which I've never experienced at any other Korean restaurant in the US. The salad was fresh and springy, and the soup was simple and comforting. They brought our food out on a wooden tray with 9 dishes, hence the name! I thought that was cute. 1 for rice, 1 for the soft tofu, and a whopping 7 dishes for all the diverse side dishes. There were givens like kimchi, marinated quail eggs, and bean sprouts, but the rest were filled with tteokbokki, a mini pancake, macaroni salad, and glazed mushrooms! Where most other shops would provide only ~4 dishes of the very basic, traditional seasonal side dishes of Korea, 9 Dish provided us more in terms of both quantity and quality. I love to taste food and having brought a friend who had never tried Korean food before, I deeply appreciated the comprehensive variety of their menu. Everything was solid too, very tasty, and if you got tired of one thing, you could just jump to another. I enjoyed the soft tofu soup in particular. It was incredibly flavorful, the heat was perfect, and I was surprised by its sweetness which I've always felt was missing in most other soft tofu soups I'd tried. If the food wasn't enough, the service and atmosphere of the restaurant were equally great! We came in close to closing, but they told us not to feel rushed, and checked up on us often, tending to all of our questions and requests in a kind yet efficient manner. The interior and decor were simple, clean, and homey, with old kpop playing sweetly in the background instead of new, overplayed hits blasting like most places. We felt comfortable the whole while, and left with a stomach full of delicious food. Our only complaint was that we were too full! Will definitely be returning <3”

“The place is quiet and not crowded for weekend lunch. The food was okay. We ordered the golden broth beef hotpot with extra blood. The taste was light. The flavor doesn’t get to the beef and beef was pretty plain. They put a lot of vermicelli in this pot so basically very little soup. The other dishes we got are cold dish cucumbers. It was fresh but the portion was small, as expected. Sliced Beef and Beef Offal in Chili Sauce was a lot of hot oil but the beef was very hard. The oil has a very strange taste to it. I had a lot of Sichuan food many places. I can’t describe this flavor, kind of not fresh but stale taste. I am surprised with the dish quality I got as the reviews are really good. The dessert of tofu pudding was good. But not to the extent that it’s super amazing. Overall 3-4 stars.”

“This place has one of the best hojicha lattes I’ve ever tried, and I’m a huge fan of hojicha. Besides that, this place has a super welcoming environment and is a great place to study. I also love the energy of the employees, they’re super friendly and give great service. It doesn’t fall victim to the cafe being run by robots vibe. “Hands down the best pho spot around. I’ve been here four times now and it never disappoints. Since I have a pretty big appetite, I always go for the classic combination bowl with all the meats, plus I add a bone and two poached eggs—it’s unbelievable. For appetizers, you can’t go wrong with the spring rolls or egg rolls, but the absolute hidden gem here is the fried chicken. A lot of people skip it, but it’s super crispy on the outside and crazy juicy on the inside.
The prices are super affordable, making it perfect for eating with friends or big group dinners. The servers' English isn’t the best, but honestly I don’t mind at all—that’s just how you know it’s legit and authentic. The inside is decent, though heads up: the restroom is way in the back, so it might be tricky to find if it's your first time. I come here all the time, constantly recommend it to my friends, and it’s always my go-to spot when family comes to visit. Highly recommend!”

“I stopped by here after eating at the restaurant next door. Today, I ordered the oolong fresh milk tea with small taro balls. I was debating between boba and something else, but the server was so nice and offered me a few free samples. I ended up choosing the small taro balls, which was definitely the right choice! While the tea itself is just okay, the taro balls are great. I’ll definitely be back to try other drinks.”

“From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the host Chris and he was very kind! I asked if I could get a boil to go and he gladly said yes!

Then he offered me to dine-in since there wasn’t a wait. So I figured. “Why not?” I might as well. Then he asked if this was my first time at a shrimp boil. I told him this was my second one. He let me know that the menu is brought up by a QR code and he showed me the other two menus that consisted of cocktail drinks and their new easy peeled shrimps

Avyn ended up being my waiter and he was very sweet and knowledgeable and he explained to me the menu and how the shrimp comes out and how to build a boil. I could either choose the regular shrimp or their new shrimp for a little bit more. I decided to go with their regular shrimp since it was less expensive and I had never been here before.

There was also a girl named Cassidy that helped me put my bib on and I thought that that was a really nice hospitality touch! Thank you.

I ordered my boil with Shrimp, sausage, potatoes and hard boiled eggs.

I ended up stopping at the bathroom and by the time I came out my boil was ready

I was really impressed that almost every employee that walked by would ask me I needed anything and if everything was okay. That’s some really good Customer Service and attention to their patrons.

The boil itself?

The sausage was really juicy and moist and seasoned. 5/5. The potatoes and eggs tasted REALLY GOOD dipped in the juice. 5/5

Now, I didn’t realize that the shrimp was a FULL SHRIMP lol that’s probably why they came up with their NEW EASY PEEL SHRIMP which is a good idea! But this regular shrimp is also good in the juice! 5/5. I do wish it was a bit more flavoring but it was still good and I’m grateful for it.

It had been so long since I’ve had a shrimp boil and I’m grateful for the memories and the chance to try it again.
