“We ordered chk tenders, quarter bird shake fries, potato salad. Flavor is okay, a bit dried due to the seasonings, chicken meat was soft but need more taste. Fries good, potatoes salad too egg taste. Overall okay. Great service and staff is wonderful.“
“I will definitely come back, the vibe was on point, my amazing waitress "Pope" was the best. Our food came out piping hot with flavor! The service was quick and above standards. Thanks for the amazing experience... I look forward to supporting Gritz and Waffles again soon. Continued Blessings!“
“Such a cute little wine bar in the heart of DTLA! My friend and I decided to catch up over early dinner here. We ordered the coldbrew martini and the non-alcoholic prosecco. We also shared the caesar salad, meatballs, piquillo peppers, and the margherita flatbread. Everything was delicious and tasty. We were pleased with everything we ordered. There's indoor and outdoor seating available. Our service was efficient. There is no free parking available, but we paid to park in a lot nearby.“
“Many who dine out know about the chicken sandwich craze which spread across the nation several years ago. From gourmet style to fast-food many eateries jumped in to offer their take. Le Coupe is no sleeper and from what I experienced ranks in the top of fried chicken with a twist. Many rave about Memphis style chicken and they should but Le Coupe uses its Louisiana Cajun heritage to make it a "must stop." Their sandwich is exceptional. If you're looking for basic fried chicken, this is NOT YOUR SPOT. Instead you will be treated to fried chicken drenched in a tasty hot, honey style sauce that is the perfect complement. The quality of the sandwich shines as while the chicken is superbly prepared, the bun, the slaw, the pickles take it to a new level. Some might raise an eyebrow over the $15 cost but again, this a'int fast food as you get what you pay for. Moving on, the rib of corn is so basic it's hilarious to mention. But, boy have they hit it out of the park with this appetizer. Ribs of corn are drenched in a mayonnaise chili sauce that makes it a very addictive dish. For $11, worth the experience. The potato salad (made with red potatoes) is fresh made (like the other items), very tasty and a nice presentation by being topped off with fresh chives. The drinks are another hit. Everything is freshly made. The lemonade was tasty and you could taste the quality. Again, at $6, you get what you pay for. LeCoupe is a tiny venue but cozy enough for several chairs, as well as a few outside. Everything is made from scratch but your order comes at a quick pace. Western and Melrose is a busy intersection, so the parking on Western can be tight so you will need some patience or street-smarts. Le Coupe has earned my business so if you're having the taste for some uniquely fried chicken (thighs or tenders) you can't go wrong with them. Price points may appear high but worth it based on the quality your receive.“
“The fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had and it’s not even close. The mild chicken is really spicy but just the right amount for me, not overly intense. It’s nice and crunchy. It’s even great cold. The fries are bomb too. What I also like is that it’s exactly the same quality every time, there is no variance. Wish I had found this place years ago.“
“The atmosphere or ambiance is excellent. It's a small community restaurant with excellent food. The only reason for the 4 is it was a bit cold inside.Vegetarian options: Almost all menu it's have a vegan and or vegetarian option.Parking: Street parking“
“Love love love Cajun/Creole food! I was more than pleasantly surprised to find this gem in my neck of the woods, and am happy to report that Mardi Gras Tuesday will be my go-to Cajun/Creole joint for the foreseeable future. Mind you, I'm no expert on the cuisine, but I've been a fan for a long time and can happily endorse the Étouffée (crawfish), the Jambalaya, the Mac and Cheese, hushpuppies, and the friendly service at Mardi Gras Tuesday. *Though the cornbread didn't necessarily wow me, all and all, it was a great meal for the portions, price and quality. And considering they got slammed as soon as we walked in (around the start of the Super Bowl), the service was quick and we were in and out of there with bellies full of comfort food within an hour. Can't wait to go back!“
“This is literally the best bar in LA!! If you’ve ever watched Cheers, Crawford’s is where you go and every body knows your name. The best food, THE BEST SERVICE ❤️❤️, the best pool play in town hands down. Glad there’s no alcohol here so I can stay longer!!“
“I follow on Instagram Actress, Gabriel Union and her Husband retired basketball player Dwayne Wade, and noticed they were eating some Willie Mae fried chicken and yams after the Oscar parties, and the food looked delicious. I Yelped the restaurant and discovered it was in Venice, CA, and I decided to try it out today. I was not disappointed. The fried chicken, baked chicken, yams, cabbage, butter beans, cornbread, and gumbo were fantastic. They made everything fresh to order so everything was very hot and fresh. The service was impeccable. Bri, our waitress was amazing. She was very personable, and kind, and recommended various tasty items. The place is cute with modern decor. Ample parking on the street or in the rear of the location in the parking lot. Note: They do not have greens which was a bummer but overall, everything was excellent. Great place to dine and eat some soul Louisiana food.“
“First off, the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. In the Arts District where you can expect your coffee to be $7, $9ish for a full cocktail is not bad! I've enjoyed everything here, the fried chicken in particular was well-seasoned. The only thing I thought was meh was the fried broccolini, the batter was a little too heavy for me so I didn't finish it.You seat yourself and can either order using the QR code at your table or try to flag someone down, but mobile order seems faster. There is also self-serve water. My only suggestion is that sometimes it can get quite sunny so would be nice to have some kind of shades when the sun is getting low and get in your eyes.Update: sounds like the shade issue has been resolved since I've last gone! Thanks Théron!“
“Excellent, spicy fried chicken. Easily the best I’ve ever had, and the pieces were large. I also had the fried okra, which was perfectly crisp. The baked beans were just the right amount of sweetness with a little bit of spice.Parking is extremely limited. Google maps shows a larger parking lot, but most of it is restricted to the residents of the building next door. You may need to park on the street and walk if you come during the busy time. Also, the restaurant is on the small side, so be prepared for a wait if they are busy.“
“First time here, but I'll be back! Inside is elegant and comfy with a full bar. Tried the jambalaya—amazing sausage! Opted for the po boy, delicious! Their IPA was refreshing. Harold and Belle's is a must-visit for locals and tourists!“
“Food was pretty good and well seasoned. Chick was awesome, brisket was good but maybe a little thin, links were good, pork ribs were maybe on the dryer side then use to but still good. Cornbread was on point, and cold Mac taste a little store bought.“
“The ambiance is alright it's a small little shop I'm guessing they're still renovating it I'm not sure but it's on a busy street you can do a u turn so that's the good thing I didn't mind and you can park in the back aswell and the service was good I'm not gonna lie they took my order quickly didn't wait that long like 15-20 minutes for my food it was worth it though I'm not gonna lie them fries are good as hell perfectly seasoned and not too hard just crispy/ limp but that slaw was amazing that's what I think had a crazy amount of flavors in it, it was the best slaw I've ever tasted I honestly wouldn't mind just ordering their slaw alone and their chicken is crispy as hell perfectly coated in flavor and breading the juice is seen in the bites you take it's good as hell and their sauce is good the yellow one is amazing it taste almost identical or similar to the chicken-fil-a sauce but that's my opinion you should decide on your own and see but also white sauce is also pretty good and overall it was pretty great I'm not gonna lie yall should come and try it fs!!!!“
“I would recommend it. They had 90s hip hop playing. It was a little louder than I like, but the sound of voice carried well enough for it not to be too big of a bother. Bottomless mimosas were an option with either orange or cran-pineapple. No complaints about the service. I had biscuits, pancakes, French toast, shrimp & grits. Biscuits were very good. Thick and flavorful. Pancakes were definitely buttermilk. They could've been more fluffy but we're worth it. French toast were tall and narrow. I found them too dry for my taste. But I think that's the style of the bread they use. The crust was not eggy at all...which relates to the texture of the finished item. Shrimp and grits was pretty good. I was satisfied. Overall I would recommend it and would return.“
“Comparing this one to the one on Pico/Crenshaw, parking is much much easier and closer to the freeway. The chicken indeed seemed a ted less spicy hot but all the favors are there. (Went to Crenshaw 2 days later and clearly able to compare) As usual, ordered the biggest 20 piece dinning in and it was hot and juicy, especially the breast. Busy on the chicken left the fries cold but still nothing left to take home. The chicken was fresh from the frier as one was bubbling on the table. Teared up one of the breast and juice immediately drip onto the plate. I wore eating clothes every time I go to GUS to refrain from having ruined clothes to regret later. They gave me forks every time but I had never used them. Go wash hands and get dirty!“
“Wonderful experience from entering the double doors. Greeted with a warm smile at the door and short waiting time to be seated. Waitress came out right away, was very friendly, knowledgeable of the menu and market price items on the menu. Panna waters were provided with and the food was stupendously delicious with unique ingredients and flavors that you have to savor. Wonderfully lite atmosphere with a modern farmhouse architectural ambiance. Excellent menu options healthy choice foods like vegan options were available along with rich culinary creations. Wonderful experience would definitely recommend and looking for to my return.“
“Whenever we have people coming from out of state or out of the country, we always bring them here. We like bragging about Honey's Kettle and everyone we bring here likes their food. I personally cannot remember what the chicken tastes like but everyone I know loves it.. and the biscuit and honey, it's to die for! I recently tried the spicy catfish sandwich, I was so adamant on trying it since I hate the flavor of the catfish, but I don't mind ordering it again. My nieces are from the Philippines have eaten a good amount of chicken from all the countries they have visited, they said the biscuits are incomparable. The flavor of the chicken is very different from other chicken places they have tried and they loved it!!!“
“The owner was amazing , great atmosphere love the music he was playing , The cook looks happy made the food very good there fries are delicious ? every bite the sandwich is Soo exquisite ?? I highly recommend this place and this has been approved by me Deysi Henriquez ..“
“I went for lunch with a friend during the week. It was near the holidays, so pretty empty. There was one guy working the tables and the service was fine (he was friendly but took his time to come over). They definitely give you large portions, which I was happy about. I had the jambalaya and my friend ordered the salmon croquettes. Both were seasoned well and the accompanying corn bread was delicious. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is because the chicken in my jambalaya had a slightly rubbery, processed taste/texture. Maybe I had a bad batch but to have such an important ingredient not work left me slightly disappointed. But I still enjoyed myself enough that I would go back again. I'd just have a different dish.“
“I hadn't been to Dinahs in a while but decided to grab dinner from here the other night. It just happened to be their 57th anniversary - which they were celebrating by giving away free breakfast, which I didn't even know the served there. Congratulations to them! But I digress.... the family dinner I ordered was so good. Comes with 10 pcs chicken, 2 sides, and rolls. All of it was fresh, hot, and tasty. Best fried chicken around perfect coating. Service was fast, friendly, and efficient. I took it to go so I can't say much about the atmosphere. The lobby looks cool.. a little old fashioned, but I expect that from an almost 60 year old place...vintage-y . Just go. It's a staple for fried chicken, which i dont have all the , also I Don't live with regrets and this is worth it!“
“We were lucky enough to have them cater us (the actors) in between our 2 day performance. Michael & Jessica are not only great cooks, while serving you they have a way of making you feel like family and everyone is gathering around at the "family cookout!" The fries were season so well and the chicken was juicy!“
“Mache is amazing server! He took care of us! He made we understood what was the best way to eat at The Drunken Crab!!The foooood was AMAZING!!!!!! My god. Raw oyster, the best! The mussels, shrimp, sauce delicious!!!!! 3 sauce mix - on point! And we liked the Bloody Mary Saki! And the music was hitting the spot.“
“It's definitely good. The only problem is that our drinks have been wrong both times we've ordered from Postmates. I love the mini cornbread! The Mac n cheese is felt needed a bit more sharp cheddar for that extra kick, like Roscoe's. Everything else was delicious.“
“Food was excellent. Very tasty and good use of spices. All good and overall satisfied with good. One comment is that the lady seems to think it’s funny and call out numbers that aren’t correlated to the order. It also takes really long to get your order almost 30 minutes. Other than that, it’s good.“
“Chef Marilyn's has been a staple in LA for many years at this location and the other location across from McDonald's near 43rd. Lines are always long as it's a takeout location but the food is always good. I get her prices went up but what hasn't these days. Inflation is real for food, groceries and gotta keep staff at competitive wages. The food is so bomb nothing is never nasty chicken meatloaf spaghetti yams greens cornbread smothered chicken and her gumbo is everything. We love it here and will keep visiting. Her ambiance is a to go so it's busy and staff can be a bit slower but they are friendly. Some of the best soul food on the west coast.“
“So many great flavors. We had the collard greens, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, meat loaf, and fried chicken. We also got a couple of sodas and potato salad and a piece of cheesecake. All good food. So glad we could find this place when we were in the area for an event. Definitely coming back when we are here again.“
“This was hands down my FAVORITE place that I visited during my trip to LA!! The food was fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. Our server was NEXT LEVEL!! She was very attentive, gave us everything we needed, had great recommendations, and went above and beyond!! The restaurant itself was decorated beautifully and they had the best music playing! We tried a few dishes and each did not disappoint!! From the pork chops, shrimp and grits, catfish, macaroni, to the cabbage......chef's kiss!!! And the dessert.....AMAZING!! I had the cheesecake, and I'm not a dessert guy. It was drizzled with pralines caramel....OMG!!! Check this place out of you're ever in LA!!“
“It was a fun experience.Miles, our server, made the experience very good.Ordered steamed shrimp and kids chicken straps meal.Kids meal came out on a fun paper boat and drink came out in souvenir cup that you can take home.Beer also included a souvenir glass.Fun place to eat when you visit Universal Studios.“
