“My mother sent me to pick up some Ono Hawaiian BBQ because she was craving it. They have a sign up on restaurant door "Masks Are Recommended". They have plastic guards up around the registers. When I walked in, there was one couple waiting on their order. I ordered a Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Plate for my mom, but without the veggies w/extra scoop of Macaroni Salad instead. My mom doesn't like Cabbage too much, & that's what the veggies mostly are, plus a couple of florets of Broccoli. I got myself the Beef & Chicken Combo Plate, also ordered 6 piece Crab Rangoons to share. The Rangoons consist of cream cheese & little bits of crab (probably immitaion, but not sure)wrapped in fried Wonton. Waited inside while food was prepared. 3 customers came in to pick up Online/called in orders & someone else ordered there while I waited. I watched the girl @ register come out & restock the dipping sauce cups & lids, & clean area around the Teriyaki & Katsu sauce dispensers & soda fountain before returning behind the register. Once my # was called got my food & went home to enjoy.“

Patience was key and the bar and wait staff are ? Champs for working so hard on a Sunday St PADDY'S day. Beer and alcohol service for that day was also available outside on the patio. Enjoyed a cold one streetside with other friendly folks waiting to get a table. Once we were seated the wait staff was fast and polite. Drink order came around fast and surprisingly the food was just as fast too. I highly recommend this place for the fish and chips. Great batter, comes out crisp and light, good tarter sauce and their coleslaw is just the way I like it. Better yet they have one of my favorite Irish Cream Ales on hand Killkenny. Great Red Ale which is always on tap here throughout the year...Definitely coming back. My wife had ordered the same food dish and big thumbs up from her too...she doesn't drink alcohol so she ordered a Shirley Temple to which they served in a large beer ? mug which made her happy too. Would absolutely recommend this place as there is a great bar and restaurant atmosphere and setting in this quaint downtown setting of La Verne. A shout out to manager Anthony who was serving beer on the pation and showing great hospitality to everyone outside.Parking: Small downtown area next to college so parking is a little competitive depending on time of year and time of day and which day of the week. “I was surprised and felt "special" that we were being served by "several" servers. Service was seamlessly quick and pleasant, and the suction vent was so quiet, I kept looking up to see it was working properly. But, it was so efficient, you don't see the smoke blinding you while grilling beef. And, they exchanged the grill pan so frequently, there is no time to worry about "carbon monoxide = cancer." Over all, I would have given 5 ?, but, the guiding employee was wearing heavy perfume, and she was passing by our table a lot, I had to cringe!!! Her perfume just ruined my perfect lunch session...“

“Choose both. You can make your Mongolian style plate and while that's cooking grab another plate and add some additional items from the Chinese food self serve buffet. You walk in and decide if you'll be having Mongolian or Chinese. Them put on a glove on the hand that you'll be using to serve your food. Then serve yourself whatever your heart desires and as much. If you went with the Mongolian once you are done serving your bowl you take it to the grill and watch the magic happen. I'm extra so I like to grab a wing or two, fried shrimp and or an egg roll. They are mostly breading, but they do the job. Once done Walt to the cashier and pay. We love this place because you get to serve yourself and it's super casual. Perfect for a weekday night when you aren't in a mood to cook.“

Everything on the plate was good except the grits they were hard and I can tell they were not creamy when they were put into the box. The grits were a 2 out of 10. I also got the smothered pork chops on top of rice with gravy which was extremely good. I also had two sides.... Greens and black eyed peas. Very good as well. “The sirloin is so delicious. The chicken breast empanadas are very tasty. The selection on the hot and cold dishes are decent. The Mac and cheese is yummy with a great panko crust. The staff works hard and are kind. This is my favorite place in the food court. The plates are very large ( you pay by weight) , so be careful not to get more than you can eat. Your mouth might say yes because it is down right yummy for Mall food, but your stomach can only hold so much. ?.“

“My son and I are huge fans of great Hawaiian Barbecue and when he moved onto campus at the University of La Verne he called me to share that he had found an amazing place. He is now in his junior year and we have been regulars at L&L Hawaiian Barbecue at least two or three times a month for three years now! The food is all awesome, chicken katsu always cooked perfectly and spam misubi is simply the best around! My son is an offesnive lineman and the portions are big enough to fill him up which is awesome! Highly recomend!“
“Went on a Monday night. There's only one person working cashier and tables but she does her best to keep up. I think the prices went up just like everywhere else because I thought I remember most dishes being $15 before, but I also could be remembering lunch prices rather than dinner.I got the kalbitang and it came out boiling, hence the picture. My boyfriend got the kimchi beef soondubu with medium spice (also boiling) and beef bulgogi combo. Both dishes were great, although I'm definitely more in favor of the kalbitang. We both really enjoyed the side dishes too and ended up asking for a refill.Overall, it's still a great place to eat. The kind of good food that you end up finishing when you thought you'd have leftovers. Looking forward to visiting again.“
“Based on the many great reviews I read for Frank's Catering, I booked them for my husband's milestone birthday party, which we recently held on Veteran's Day. Being a planner, I made the reservation early. Leo and Frank were very accommodating for my guests' nutritional needs, and for any changes I requested along the way. I decided to go all out for the occasion and ordered the food cooked onsite, full service, and the beverage bar with freshly made sangria, which was a big hit! All of the food was phenomenal, which included brisket, ribs, chicken, scalloped potatoes, baked beans and grilled veggies. The freshly made chips and salsas were also a huge hit. Every guest complimented on how great the meal was and many said "this is the best BBQ I've ever eaten"! Having many farmers in our family who know their BBQ, this speaks volumes! Their setup was great, including table and chair rentals. Everything looked nice. I can't thank Frank, Leo and their staff enough for being so pleasant to work with, and for being so accommodating for our needs.
