“Stopped by this business earlier this afternoon and met the owner. Was in awe of the quality of food and service. Humble people, incredible quality of food, and a beautiful small business we drove 40 mins based on a friend's recommendation. Personally I don't understand the few haters who wrote negative reviews on this place - all I can say is this place tops every single Armenian food and catering business we've ordered 10s of thousands of service/food from! In summary we loved everything about the place - quality of food, service, ambiance, and will recommend it unequivocally to all friends and family. Moreover, we will go out of our way to order future catering from Gev's kitchen. Way to go my new friend, you earned our business and trust for years to come!“
“If you can't get to SGV, where the quality and selection of Chinese food is incredible, Sam Woo is a great valley option. Standouts are their BBQ meats; roast duck, roast pork , char siu. Good selections of all noodle dishes; chow menial, Lo Meir, chow fun. Then like most Chinese restaurants hundreds of options. The key here is their consistent authentic dishes. Casual and good service.“
“There is no other Korean BBQ in my opinion that taste as good as this place. With that being said they are very expensive but worth every penny.Sometimes I bring my son and he doesn't want to eat anything but white rice and even though on the menu it says that everyone sitting down will be charged the waiters and waitresses let us get away with it. That's the reason why we keep coming back because we want to bring everyone here and not everyone wants to eat the unlimited. So this makes it worth it for us so we can all be there as a family. You do want to check the gratuity charges first. To make sure you're comfortable with the way they do things here. Me personally I don't believe that anyone should charge gratuity up front not till after the service is rendered. Because what if you get horrible service and you're already charged for it that's not right. But with all that being said I recommend this place if you're looking for a amazing Korean barbecue. My family and I go here all the time. There's even an arcade in the back so don't miss out on that while you're waiting to be seated.“
“Came here for happy hour on a weeknight. Decently busy but there were a few open tables in the bar area. The bar area is pretty small but can’t beat the happy hour. For the price, the food is a great value as well as the drinks. My only complaint is that the music is way too loud for the size of the space. Or am I just getting old?“
“I have known about Mongolian BBQ & Grill ever since I was a student at Los Angeles Valley College, which is right across from this restaurant. I eat here from time to time. Here is my breakdown of this place:Location & Parking: Located across Los Angeles Valley College, Mongolian BBQ & Grill is a small and very discreet “hole-in-the-wall” restaurant meaning you sometimes may be the only customer there. It is located in a plaza and parking is always available.Service Experience: Once inside, the owner greets you creating a welcoming atmosphere. He’s attentive and helpful, particularly in refilling requested meats promptly. The restaurant follows a “Do It Yourself” concept where customers assemble their 2 bowls with a selection of meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauces. The staff are friendly and willing to offer guidance if needed for those who are new to the place. Note that additional charges apply for overfilled or extra bowls. There is also a nearby hand sanitizer to sanitize your hands before and after handling tongs.Menu and Food Selection: The restaurant’s format allows customers to choose their preferred ingredients, providing clear instructions displayed above the selection bar. The noodles, vegetables, sauces, and egg fried rice are delicious, although the meat quality sometimes is not the best, occasionally proving difficult to chew. I have attached pictures of the food and menu.Budget-Friendly Experience: Despite the occasional issue with the meat texture, the overall value for the price is acceptable, especially considering the reasonable pricing. This restaurant provides a cost-effective alternative to mall-based Mongolian BBQ places, offering late hours compared to those typically found within malls which close pretty early.Overall Recommendation: For a budget-friendly Mongolian BBQ experience, Mongolian BBQ & Grill is a great choice. While the meat quality might vary, the noodles & vegetables, affordability, and late operating hours make it a worthwhile option for those seeking Mongolian BBQ outside mall settings. I love supporting small business and this is one of them. I am very surprised this restaurant is still operating after so many within this plaza have come and gone.Vegetarian options: Variety of vegetables to choose fromParking: Plenty of parking within the plaza“
“Great service, so quick to give a table and bring the food, they even pack your food to go if u have left overs and also give you some fruit as desert with fortune cookies, loved it, it was first time coming here and ill be coming back here, thanks for the service 10/10“
“Excellent location, extremely fast, reasonable costs, and clean. In general, you may observe how they prepare your food. Some love street BBQ, however it's a bad idea to eat something cooked on the spot without a kitchen or running water.“
“Staff were friendly and nice, I ordered short rib with no rice, all veggies. I was happy with the taste quality and portion. Only issue was the veggies that they were overcooked and there was no crunch into it and also I had to do a few times back-and-forth to get more napkins .“
“Went to Sam's for the first time today... all I can say is yum! Food was fresh and delicious. The service was excellent, very friendly! Love how they cook the kebabs over charcoal out front. Restaurant was clean which is always good sign! Will definitely be back!“
