“It was my first time I work just around the corner & I had the cowgirl double & OMG it was bombbbbb! The cheese was melted just right, the homemade bbq sauce was amazing, & I got some jalapeños as well. added the perfect hint of heat. I recommend trying. definitely will not disappoint!“
“A great place for a beer. An excellent place for a pizza. They have a long list of terrific house-made beer, and the pizza is super tasty--the ultimate combination! This place has just the right vibe you'd want from a brewery. The difference is that some breweries feel very industrial. But Macleod feels homey and very local. Case in point: parking can be difficult sometimes. The first time I was able to park in the front lot, but I was blocking somebody. I went around the bar and found the guy I'd blocked in, and we agreed to find each other later and switch the cars. All very casual and chill, which made me feel right at home. Throw in a patio with a "scenic" view of a dark side street and some light industrial businesses, and you get the deal. Two more visits later, it's one of my favorite beer places in L.A.“
“Burgers are really good and seasoned well. It's 6$ for a cheeseburger so the prices are very fair. I would come early to get your burger, they sold out around 1:30pm when I came. The burgers are pretty small so I would order 2 of them to fill you up. The owner Bill is also a WW2 Veteran and still works there!“
“Everyone should try Baked It Myself. I tried their beet burger ordering on doordash a couple weeks ago, and it was incredible. I can't stop ordering their bim bowl, and they always listen to my modifications which showcases their incredible customer service. Nonetheless, the food here is high quality, affordable and delicious, making this an incredible restaurant to consider in your weekly rotation.“
“A nice, family owned Thai restaurant with good prices and massive portions. This is a great place to go if you’re waiting for your appointment at SDI across the street. I had the pad thai without egg to make it vegan and they happily accommodated. Will come back again.“
“Do not go to wing stop or Bw3’s ever again if u live anywhere near here ? ? sooooooooo gooooodddd I got 10 wings (they hooked it up fatttt) bone-in, fries, and it was so good like I’m Lowkey lost for words lol please do not sleep on this spot holy smokesParking: I was parked, in and out in less than 60 seconds yall“
“La La Lasagna is to die for and if I was dying, I would want this as my last meal. I'm not being hyperbolic when I say this is my favorite food to eat *ever* and I have a child-like giddiness when I have the chance to stop by this truck.Chef Michelangelo is the nicest man on the planet and I'm happy to give him all my money. Do yourself a big favor and RUN to get some.“
“My go-to place for food at Anime Expo and other anime events. I always enjoy their katsu curry sandwich. The chicken cutlet has a nice balance of crispy and juiciness and goes well with the curry. They sometimes also have other items as well, such as the yanki burger and curry rice, that are just as delicious and filling as the sandwich. Recently, at AX Chibi 2023, I tried out the okonomiyaki fries since Okamoto Kitchen was out of the katsu curry sandwich. It is like chili fries except the fries are topped with okonomiyaki toppings such as ginger, JP style mayonnaise, and okonomiyaki sauce. The okonomiyaki fries are now of my new favorites from this place. It has a delightful balance of sweet and savory. The fries were also crispy and weren't soggy. If you're at an event like Anime Expo, I recommend visiting Okamoto Kitchen before or after lunchtime/dinnertime because the lines become long, and you will have to wait a while. One important tip is that during Anime Expo and other events like it, they only accept credit and debit cards. Be prepared for that. Furthermore, if there is an item that you absolutely want, I recommend visiting the booth ASAP as some popular food items like the Katsu Curry sandwich sell out by the end of the day.“
“I didn’t expected that much for boba tea, I thought boba is boba all are the same but this place is different. For my daughter’s friends gathering I ordered quite a lot for all last weekend from bobarita and I’ve gotten so many compliments. Here’s boba tee is special!“
“I used to go to Robeks a lot but this place just changed that for me! Way better fresh quality fruits that leave you craving more. They have a great wide variety of healthy condiments to blend in your bowl or smoothie. They have great protein smoothies, delicious acai, and mouth watering juices! Patty was so inviting and is very fast with her service! Love supporting local businesses! I’ll be bringing my friends and putting them on too!“
“Yesterday I was in Sepulveda for an appointment and my wife and I decided to eat before we returned home. So we both searched for a great choice and decided to give this place a shot. From the moment we entered, and on every single bite we ate, we knew we would be back for more. The menu items for meals are so tasty and reminded me of what my great grandmother cooked, but (sorry Grandma) better. Then we sampled the pastries which were “world class” and even purchased more to go. We will be back, and I can already taste it in my mind. Glenn“
“Let's face it; we pay the price for things we love, and we love espresso. Now these machines require maintenance, and once we accept that, and after investing in our equipment of choice, it's all about the knowledge, skill, and service orientation of the shop. Espresso Primo is top flight. Bryant and the crew know what they are doing from the ins and outs of your machines to the water and coffee that goes in them. Partly because of the shops like EP, we will continue to enjoy espresso from our home kitchen, like we're at the cafe in Europe (insert your favorite place here; didn't want to start anything). Ciao, buona senta!“
“A true gem of the valley. I absolutely love Millie’s. The staff is so genuinely friendly. The food is fantastic and the prices make it my go to breakfast, lunch, dinner. There ain’t many diners like Millie’s anymore. I hope this place out lives me!“
“This is my go-to taco spot in the valley! Parking isn't that great considering that it is at a park, but it's not horrible. The tacos itself is what gets me going back and the customer service is good. They have a lot of options and the price is affordable as well.“
“Went in for an early dinner on a Saturday. Had the daily special of Chicken green curry, salad, egg roll, and white rice. Great flavour! Not so much food that I felt bloated afterwards. Service was prompt and friendly. And the price was great, too! ($14.50) I’ll be back the next time I’m in Van Nuys.“
“2024/02/05What a Gem. What an absolute Gem of a place! I came to LA early Feb during the rainy flood storm in SoCal, and was introduced to an amazing corner fast food joint. I even asked if they had a souvenir shirt but they didnt have any, so i kept my fountain drink cup with the logo instead.I got the Pastrami Reuben Sandwich which was excellent. My cousin and his girl shared a "big breakfast" dish(s). The workers were absolutely sweet. I honestly wanna make this MY pit stop every time i travel to and from NorCal. Eventually ima try everything.Parking seems minimal on site, but there is AMPLE seating including a tented area outside“
“Can't go wrong with a Double-Double! It comes with double patties, double cheese, lettuce, tomato and sauce. You can add grilled or raw onion, as well as peppers. Try it "animal-style" and you'll get a burger with mustard fried into each patty, plus pickles, grilled onions and extra sauce. "Protein style" is the burger without the bun, wrapped in lettuce. The fries are cut fresh and cooked with vegetable oil, and they are delicious! "Animal-style" fries are topped with sauce, a slice of melted cheese and grilled onions.Ask them what else is on the secret menu...“
“Came here for happy hour on a weeknight. Decently busy but there were a few open tables in the bar area. The bar area is pretty small but can’t beat the happy hour. For the price, the food is a great value as well as the drinks. My only complaint is that the music is way too loud for the size of the space. Or am I just getting old?“
“The valley is hard to find great sea food. Catch is a hidden gem. This place always reminds me when my god parents would take me out and have sea food at a traditional Mexican restaurant. The service is great it's fast and the waiters are always nice when I go. Truly a spot to go and good sea food and drinks with friends.“
“Damn good pizza! My first time there and i will definitely be back to try some other styles.I ordered the deluxe and i felt that the ingredients were fresh and well cooked. Good stuff gents! My order was well priced, prepared quickly and the place was very clean.“
“Service was great and came out quick. The Thai tea was a10/10. The chicken in pho was a little over done but other than that really good. Also portion sizes were massive. I ate as much as I could and still had another big portion to take home. Would definitely come back to try other menu items. I love how they're open late too.“
“I have known about Mongolian BBQ & Grill ever since I was a student at Los Angeles Valley College, which is right across from this restaurant. I eat here from time to time. Here is my breakdown of this place:Location & Parking: Located across Los Angeles Valley College, Mongolian BBQ & Grill is a small and very discreet “hole-in-the-wall” restaurant meaning you sometimes may be the only customer there. It is located in a plaza and parking is always available.Service Experience: Once inside, the owner greets you creating a welcoming atmosphere. He’s attentive and helpful, particularly in refilling requested meats promptly. The restaurant follows a “Do It Yourself” concept where customers assemble their 2 bowls with a selection of meats, vegetables, noodles, and sauces. The staff are friendly and willing to offer guidance if needed for those who are new to the place. Note that additional charges apply for overfilled or extra bowls. There is also a nearby hand sanitizer to sanitize your hands before and after handling tongs.Menu and Food Selection: The restaurant’s format allows customers to choose their preferred ingredients, providing clear instructions displayed above the selection bar. The noodles, vegetables, sauces, and egg fried rice are delicious, although the meat quality sometimes is not the best, occasionally proving difficult to chew. I have attached pictures of the food and menu.Budget-Friendly Experience: Despite the occasional issue with the meat texture, the overall value for the price is acceptable, especially considering the reasonable pricing. This restaurant provides a cost-effective alternative to mall-based Mongolian BBQ places, offering late hours compared to those typically found within malls which close pretty early.Overall Recommendation: For a budget-friendly Mongolian BBQ experience, Mongolian BBQ & Grill is a great choice. While the meat quality might vary, the noodles & vegetables, affordability, and late operating hours make it a worthwhile option for those seeking Mongolian BBQ outside mall settings. I love supporting small business and this is one of them. I am very surprised this restaurant is still operating after so many within this plaza have come and gone.Vegetarian options: Variety of vegetables to choose fromParking: Plenty of parking within the plaza“
“This place was amazing. The chicken was on point. They also do Carne Asada with amazing flavor. Beans and rice come as sides with the family meal and was perfect. We normally went to Pops chicken in North Hollywood but they always close early and it’s super frustrating when you want to eat after 5:30 PM.This will be our new go to place since they’re open late and their chicken is just as good if not better than other places we’ve been.“
“Craving tacos and didn't want to travel to far. Headed over to taco Reyes because I heard they had good carne asada. Ordered 4 tacos to go from the pleasant woman and 10 dollars later I was on my way home. Loaded them up with salsa and took a bite. Carne asada was flavorful but a little tough. Tortilla was hand made but obviously bought. Overall the tacos were flavorful but needed the tooth some texture of a handmade tortilla. Carne asada was good but needs to be trimmed a little better. Decent enough taco, 3.5 stars.“
“By far the best papusas I've ever had. I came here on my lunch break because I work down the street and it's the best decision I made so far lol! Fresh hot and super cheesy wow I'm still craving them. I ordered two chicharon and two cheese and man they were delicious. The lady working was very nice too I'll be back“
“We arrived on a Friday at around 11:00am and got seated right away. The restaurant has outdoor seating with heaters which I thought was really nice. Our food was great!! I order the chicken and waffles with a side of bacon and egg. Everything was delicious and por portions was plenty. My husband ordered the Mexican omelette with a side of has browns and toast and he too enjoyed his food very well. The ranchero salsa was delicious. The service was quick and very efficient. On top of that everyone was very friendly and helpful. The star of the meal was the cafe de olla! This is a must if you try out this place. The only thing is parking can be a little tricky and may have to park on the street or nearby neighborhood. Highly recommend this place.“
