“My family and I were nearby hoping to get ice cream from our favorite shop while we were in town but found they were closed on the day we stopped by. I checked Yelp for ice cream nearby and came across Handel's. When we arrived, there was no line and we quickly decided what each of us wanted and ordered at the outdoor window. The ice cream was served immediately. I had the mud pie (which was so delicious), my husband had the orange cream, and our kids had chocolate and lime sherbet. Everyone really enjoyed their ice cream and the prices were reasonable.“
“As of April 2024, Rumors that the Vista store is going out of business is non existent! Daughter of owners just opened a store in San Diego down town area. I have a friend who drives from LaJolla to Vista for their chocolate & peanut butter malt.This is a very cool family restaurant thats been in business for 40 years. Very, very reasonable prices! Hot food or any kind of icecream, malts, banana splits... their menu is HUGE!“
“I've lived in Vista going on 5 years, this has always been my go to Donut Shop. I'm a simple man, while their more fancy donuts with cereal and what not are great, their more traditional donuts are damn near perfect. Can't forget their breakfast sandwiches some of my favorites around here. Service is great they're always very attentive once you walk through the door.“
“The food here was absolutely delicious - the fruit was ridiculously fresh and sweet, and the service was exceptional. It took a couple minutes for our food to be ready, but that's because she literally chopped up a whole mango and pineapple for my smoothie. I'm definitely going back for the tostilocos“

“Quick, efficient, and already get my order right! Nestled in-between a dumpling and ramen shop, makes it a great one stop for all things yummy! Parking can get ehh from target but you'll definitely find a spot. The restaurant was very clean and they had some seating outaide but not enough for large groups. I'm really picky with the consistency of my boba and they always have it on point here. Some places vary depending on who makes it but they have it down. I also like the different special drinks they have to offer that are not on the main menu“
