I was in the area for lunch when I came across Burd Chicken Rice. The menu and reviews intrigued me and made me hungry. Most of the menu featured dark meat chicken, and the Lemongrass Burrito caught my eye. I placed my order, which arrived at our table in a few minutes. The burrito had a delicious and clean flavor. The chicken was tender, the rice was nicely seasoned, and the veggies added a fresh texture. The ginger scallion sauce added a punch of acidity that complimented it well.

My friend enjoyed his Mix Burd Plate, which included classic and lemongrass chicken. After our meal, I decided to try the Cane Passion drink for the drive home. It was refreshing and sweet.

It was my first time here, and it was a pleasant experience with friendly staff and clean dining areas. I hope to return to the area to try more items or get that burrito again!”

For my first visit, I had their breakfast plate, a delightful and balanced meal, featuring fluffy scrambled eggs with savory mushrooms, a fresh mixed greens salad, crispy kale, sweet strawberries and blueberries, and a satisfying sausage. The whole grain toast with tangy orange jam ties it all together. The first time I tried their Pho with flank and brisket. It was good, but I always prefer something that hits a little bit more.
Second time I decided to try the one with charbroiled beef and it was a game changer. I ordered it two days in a row cause it's absolutely delicious. The beef is very well marinated and tasted lightly sweet and smoky, I love to eat it even by itself.

The staff is amazing, greeting you the moment you walk in. Even when they’re busy, they acknowledge you and let you know they’ll be right with you, which is rare these days and so appreciated.

This week I had an experience that really showed me what kind of place this is. I lost my wallet on Tuesday, and when I came back on Friday to retrace my steps, they had kept it safe for me the entire time. Someone had kindly turned it in (including my cash), and the staff made sure it was taken care of until I returned. That kind of honesty and care is priceless, and I can’t express my gratitude enough.

The owner is phenomenal as well—kind, approachable, and genuinely invested in both the business and the community. Between the amazing food, the welcoming staff, and the integrity they show, I couldn’t be more thankful to have El Pilon Market here.

“I was going to Denny's to eat and learned they didn’t have a her and were closing early. So I looked around the shopping center for a beautiful restaurant to enjoy and learned about West Covina Thai Cuisine. I walked in, was greeted with a warm, loving smile, and offered to sit wherever I felt comfortable and offered something to drink. I sat down, ordered a delicious Thai tea, and looked over the menu.

New educated me on the menu and offered me an appetizer that was so good. I was waiting for my guest to start for a meeting over dinner, and once they arrived, we ordered dinner and more drinks. This restaurant gets an A+ for comfort, food quality, presentation, and overall restaurant cleanliness. I can’t wait to invite more friends to dinner here. The prices were perfect.”

The tables, and the place overall, was neat and well maintained. Furthermore, the staff members were courteous, and helpful. Of course, I cannot forget to mention that prices, too, were not on the expensive side.
