“This place is located in the plaza where Tokyo Central Market is located. The lunch special menu was very extensive. I tried the pig hock rice dish and it was decent, but the lean portion of the pork was bit tough to chew. Each dish came with a salad, but no dressing?!? There were also a good variety of hot pots for $15, which nowadays is reasonable. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, it was a good lunch and we will return to try other items.
Parking: Inside of the Tokyo Central Market plaza.
Wheelchair accessibility: Plenty of room to maneuver a wheelchair here.”
“The female waitress no good on Saturday night. She lies and low services. The boy is good. If she is the owner , please don’t go. If she is not owner, please change her.”
“It was awesome that it was open late, very busy even then. Fun crowd, lively bar, and patrons. My vegetarian burger tasted so good, almost as if it was off the grill. The waitress was attentive and double-checked for food allergies before serving walnut pesto. Afterward, the bartender on duty broke a glass, and the room fell silent; then everyone laughed and cheered on! ?
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian red beet and quinoa burger was the bomb! Great texture and flavor.
Dietary restrictions: The waitress notified us about possible allergens in the food.”

“I'm a Porto's groupie. I have been to several locations over the years (Downey, Glendale, Buena Park, Northridge, and now West Covina). I appreciate Porto's consistency and quality of their food, drinks, and pastries, without compromisng customer service or cleanliness in their environments. Let's jump right into this review.
This location is in West Covina, backside of a mall. Nearby the 10 freeway for reference.
Everything is good in my opinion. I'm just saying. Somethings will be a palette preference but it's all good. Look good. Taste good. Smells good. Here are my favorites:
1. Meat pies - Puff pastry filled with Rosa's original picadillo (Cuban-style ground beef with onion, bell pepper, olive, and Spanish seasonings.
2. Empanada - A hand pie filled with Cuban-style chicken fricassee (slow-cooked chicken breast, carrot, raisins, peas, onion, tomato sauce, and Spanish seasonings). * other options available *
3. Potato balls - A classic and signature treat that consist of potato puree filled with Rosa's original picadillo (Cuban style ground beef with onion, bell pepper, olive, and Spanish seasonings) with a crispy panko crust. * other options available *
4. Fruit tart - A buttery tart topped with a layer of Rosa's original sponge cake, vanilla custard, and an assortment of fresh fruit including locally grown, California strawberries and blueberries, imported mangoes, and other seasonal fruit.
5. Smoothies - Guava and Mango are my top choices.
Given the quality of ingredients and portion size; I find prices reasonable.
Pros
1. Food is delicious
2. Presentation of items is superb. Glass displays are kept clean and given the volume of traffic - I don't know how it is done.
3. Reasonable prices.
4. Clean establishment from inside to the outside surroundings. Tables are clean quickly and put back into rotation given the foot traffic.
5. Has vegetarian/vegan options.
Cons
1. Busy. Busy. Busy. Always a line. Note: The lines are moving, but, sometimes you want to walk into a place and not have to get into a line wrapped around the building. True testament to the quality of food...people willing to wait.
2. Parking is a challenge.
I recommend Porto's to anyone. Go ahead, satisfy your taste buds.
Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: Has wheelchair accessibility.”
“These are some tasty chicken and rice meals and refreshing, sweet drinks!
I was in the area for lunch when I came across Burd Chicken Rice. The menu and reviews intrigued me and made me hungry. Most of the menu featured dark meat chicken, and the Lemongrass Burrito caught my eye. I placed my order, which arrived at our table in a few minutes. The burrito had a delicious and clean flavor. The chicken was tender, the rice was nicely seasoned, and the veggies added a fresh texture. The ginger scallion sauce added a punch of acidity that complimented it well.
My friend enjoyed his Mix Burd Plate, which included classic and lemongrass chicken. After our meal, I decided to try the Cane Passion drink for the drive home. It was refreshing and sweet.
It was my first time here, and it was a pleasant experience with friendly staff and clean dining areas. I hope to return to the area to try more items or get that burrito again!”

“I've been a loyal patient at Apex Dental since 2019. Not only have I referred my family and friends to this office, but Dr. Appal's commitment to honesty and perfectionism continuously impresses me. From crowns to bridges and even an implant, Dr. Appal has transformed my smile, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Maribel, Cynthia, and the front desk guy ( forgot his name ) from the office staff are also incredibly welcoming and kind. I confidently recommend this office and wholeheartedly stand by Dr. Appal's work.”
“Best grilled meats! Finest dining experience with a lot of choices of grilled food!”

“I discovered Namu Kitchen on accident and I’m SO glad I did. This was my first time having Korean breakfast and it’s now one of my all time favorites. For my first visit, I had their breakfast plate, a delightful and balanced meal, featuring fluffy scrambled eggs with savory mushrooms, a fresh mixed greens salad, crispy kale, sweet strawberries and blueberries, and a satisfying sausage. The whole grain toast with tangy orange jam ties it all together. Paired with the cozy atmosphere and friendly service, this thoughtfully prepared plate makes for a wholesome and enjoyable breakfast experience. Highly recommended! And shout out to Juan for the great service! Thank you!!!”
“Thank you so much for providing that surveillance video of the dog that was abandoned in the alley behind your business to Fox 11. Hopefully it gets the word out and those responsible are held accountable. It's nice to know there are still people out there that actually care about animals in need, thank you again.”
“Oh my god. Best asian food I’ve ever had. We got the chicken chili dumplings and shrimp and pork chili dumplings (amazing), beef & broccoli (perfect amount of beef to broccoli ratio), orange chicken (perfectly fried pieces) & the hot & spicy fried rice, (best I’ve ever had). And the server Will was to the point and quick. This is our new go to take out/asian food spot.”
“Love this place and the vibe was so vegan I got a free vegan booklet and sticker and they had vegan snacks and fresh meals and dessert , I will say the two dishes I got weren’t anything special tho they were basic they weren’t bad but they weren’t the best however I would totally come back”
“This place is amazing! Great food and service is excellent. Thank you Mikomi”
“I've been to other Kopan locations and I'm so happy to see one here in WC! Ramen is the best medicine on cold winter days, especially when you're feeling a little sick. I needed a quickly satisfy my ramen craving, and it hit the spot. I looked at the sushi options too, but I wasn't in the mood for sushi. The ramen is exactly how I remember at the other locations. The downfalls of the ramen I received...
-I wanted a hot soup to soothe my throat. The soup was between room temp and the ideal hot for how I was feeling.
-The chashu seems to be cut a lot thinner than I remember. I remember, which was some time ago, the slices being double the thickness that what I received.
-I don't remember if I saw extra toppings on the menu, like the crunchy onion and garlic. But post meal, I see it's on the online menu.
Now, the broth was very flavorful. The spice was perfectly mild, the way I like it. The chashu perfectly cooked and flavorful.
Service was good. The server was attentive for the most part. Felt a bit rushed, but it seemed like he was the only one on the floor. I was still enjoying my ramen and he already asked if I was ready to settle the bill. I kindly obliged and paid my bill at that moment. I could have potentially ordered sushi, depending how content I was after the ramen, or even dessert.
Parking is convenient. The plaza does have a parking structure. Although, it appears that they are doing some construction, so there are large containers in the parking spaces. There is also street parking, which is a shorter walking distance on Glendora, where the entrance is located.
I'd definitely recommend this place and will be looking forward to dining here again in the near future.”

“I had a tooth that was giving me the worst pain over the weekend. I called on Monday early afternoon and was able to be seen the same day. Crystal the dental assistant was great! She told me Dr. Ramirez would make sure I didn’t feel any pain. I ended up having to have 2 teeth extracted and with no pain at all. I have a new Dental office! Great job ladies 😁”
“Love this place and the vibe was so vegan I got a free vegan booklet and sticker and they had vegan snacks and fresh meals and dessert , I will say the two dishes I got weren’t anything special tho they were basic they weren’t bad but they weren’t the best however I would totally come back”
“I was craving dim sum, so I thought I was going to a traditional teahouse. It is take-out only. The pepper steamed chicken feet was very good. The beef tripe was just the right texture, a little crunch left, and the ginger flavor just right. The pork ribs were perfect, too. It would have been nice to have a table and some good tea. I ate these in my car.”
“Not sure why I didn’t stop by sooner. I live in the area and about after a year i decided to go the other night. We got the fried dumplings, seafood soup, drunken noodle with shrimp, pad see-ew with chicken and to drink we got Thai iced teas. Everything was delicious, the soup had lots of seafood and good flavor, the drunken noodle had lots of Thai basil. I ended up getting a Thai tea to go. Definitely will be coming back or ordering for pick up.”
“My friend and I came to this unassuming family owned restaurant for lunch. She had been there twice and loved it and so I thought I’d give it a try. The lunch special was really excellent. I had the spicy basil with beef and it came with rice and a very fresh quality side salad. My friend enjoyed her chicken pad Thai. It looked so good that I ordered one to go for my husband. He loved it too. The service was warm and attentive. I’ve been searching for a good Thai restaurant to replace Basil and Co, which has excellent food but it’s always crowded, loud, and the service was unapologetically slow at my last visit. Verdict: My new go-to Thai restaurant. It doesn’t have the ambience of Basil and Co but it checks off a lot of important boxes for me.”
“First time there… my son and his friend took me. Really good food!!”
“Very helpful staff in choosing what to eat. The food is delicious and very fresh!”

“Quick food and good service, and a convenient location if you are on the the road.
Sometimes a little crowded after school gets out but the drive through line goes by quick.
They always have specials posted on their walls but the real specials are on the Carl's Jr app and you can get free points which leads to free food just by being a repeat customer.
I have never had an incorrect order at this location and that's what keeps me coming back, although I do visit other restaurants and fast food I'm the area.
Carl's Jr has always been consistent and keeps me as a return customer.
Make sure to download the app because you can even order ahead and have it ready by the time you get there on top of their deals on the app, which some are app exclusive.
I recommend the BIG Carl sandwich because it's simple, cheap and hits the spot.
Consistent quick service and correct orders are important to be high on the list for fast food and the iPhone and android app just makes it better to score free food and even quicker service.
The fries are good but the waffle fries are even better and they have other delicious side orders like fried zucchini.
As far as drinks go they have a wide selection but my go to is the blue power aide and it really hits the spot on a hot day.
If you like burgers, fries, and hit fresh food make sure you check out Carl's Jr on your way to your next big adventure, or even just on your way to work!”
“One thing about McDonald's is you always get the same food. No matter which franchise you go to the food is always constant. What I did notice was there was less emphasis on customer service inside the restaurant. The drive-thru is given priority and therefore guests waiting in the lobby to order are sidestepped buy employees who are busy filling drive through orders and not taking new orders. This was frustrating. Overall the feeling was they just didn't have time for us. I left with an empty feeling.
Parking: It was early in the morning and there were plenty of parking spots.
Kid-friendliness: The food alone makes McDonald's kid friendly but I do not remember seeing their kids Playland.
Wheelchair accessibility: Does handicapped accessible parking endurance is clear for wheelchairs.”
“Love this place. It's at the center of the community where all the actions are taking place. Neat drive-thru for a quick order and back on the road. Inside ordering is a breeze, counter clerks welcoming attitude make anyone feel welcome. Service is prompt and food ready in matters of minutes. I've been to other fastfood places, and this one ranks on top of my list. Check it out, and get the service you deserve.”
“Great place to grab your micheladas/shots with a variety of signature tacos and dishes to choose from. Food is rich in flavor as well. It won't disappoint ?? I recommend this establishment !!!”
“A little pricey, but very large servings of delicious family-style Filipino favorites. Try the crispy oats and kare-kare combo, then add a vegetable or other dish. Really tasty.”
“Absolutely AMAZING! Matthew was our server and was so knowledgeable about not only the menu, but also the history of the company. We also received a visit from Delaney to check in on us and welcome us as first time visitors. I’m leaving here FULL (because I ate everything) and feeling like this is my new “home away from home”. Highly recommend the chicken salad and the tortilla soup. This place is now a regular stop for me and I will try to be patient until they decide to open a location in Phoenix.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Patty's was very communicative and responded quickly to our emails about our wedding cake. They made a cake exactly to our specifications and it tasted divine! We got the banana cake with guava filling and cream cheese frosting, and we got so many compliments on the taste. I applaud Patty's and can't wait to eat more of the leftovers :)”
“The taste of the food in this place is really delicious, I have returned too many times and I never tire of trying the tofu soups that offer without a doubt the best place for you to choose to go to eat alone or with your family, the service is super nice I give it 10/10”
“I used to come here regularly and my first visit was back in 2001. The food and service has always been great. Mimi had quite the personality and perhaps some might've thought she was rude but I loved the character that she added. I'm not sure if she's still there but I know today I saw Yohan who has always been the most lovely pleasant server ever. I've heard some people tell me that it isn't the same and it has fallen down hill but today I went in with my father and I still enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. These are the THE BEST California rolls I've ever had. You can't beat the price on the quality of these rolls. Thank you for still making food I enjoy.”
“This is our favorite Mongolian BBQ. We have been coming here for over 15 years. Not as much, as we have moved almost 90 miles away. But if we find a reason to be in the area, this is the one place we we make sure nit to miss.
You get to pick your meat flaps (Beef, Pork, Chicken, Lamb), vegetables, noodles, rice, and all sort of spices, oils, and flavor ingridients.
It's a Buffet, where you grab a bowl, put all the food you want to eat, and then you take it to the Cooks, who will cook it right in front of you.
It's a self serve buffet, but woth great service. They make sure you are comfortable, and enjoying your meal.
Great Food, Awesome Experience, and a very calm atmosphere...
You have to try out !!!”
“It's connected to a small market. The people are SUPER FRIENDLY!! The food is DELICIOUS AND FRESHLY MADE!! I would eat there daily just for the friendly atmosphere and taste!! I may not have much background in pupusas, but I'm definitely going to be loyal to this one!! I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!!! ❤️???❤️
Parking: Depending on time you may have problems with parking. But it's a good deal without spending a fortune!! (Depending on appetite)”
“come for the music. don't eat the food. poor non-existent service. had to just go to the front and order after 30 mins after being told someone would come take our order at the table. had to return the wings because they were completely raw and the pizza was cardboard and tasteless. got our money back and just had drinks. can't screw up beer.”

“I recommend the chilaquiles they are delicious. The only problem I had was they charged a micheladas triple the price ($18) instead of happy hour price ($6) they had the sign on the table for happy hour Mon-Fri and said it is not correct they have it until Thursday they need to remove that sign. I was able to get a refund for the extra charge which was a lot ($12). Besides that all the food was good”
“Top smash burger spot in San Gabriel valley, Mikey is super cool and the burgers are amazing. Be sure to get the double smash burger as it has a lot more taste than a single! His special sauce is so good as well!
Parking: Parking at Nogales high school a lot of parking”
“I love this acai spot SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love the menu and everything on it! i love how customizable everything is and i mostly love that the toppings are unlimited on my acai bowl OMG I LOVE ITT!!! i have such a sweet spot for Juice n' Bowls!! thank you to all the staff for their help and for always making my bowls SO DELICIOUUSS!! <3”

“Small little place. Atmosphere was quaint and service was cool. Placed order online. Picked it up and nothing much to it. .. wanted to order rice but they have a 10$ card minimum. Food was fresh and delicious....I was hungry .lol. Shrimp tacos were different. It's like they fried the shrimp similar to chicken and no Pico but cheese and white sauce instead. Ceviche de Cameron was cool. But yes they do use tiny shrimp... and the shrimp quesadilla is where it's at! Would go back again!
Small Shrimp Ceviche
3 Shrimp Tacos
Clam Chowder soup
Shrimp Quesadilla
Total : $ 40 and some change.”
“have been to Rero's Burrito Company several times, often for large take out orders. The food and service is excellent. I highly recommend this place. In particular, I recommend the breakfast burritos with shredded chicken WET with green sauce, I also like the esquites.”

“My 1st time here. They had 2 vegan options. I opted for the chocolate chip cookie dough vegan ice cream. A bit pricey for ice cream though.
Dietary restrictions: They had 2 vegan options
Parking: Shared lot with several other businesses & it was almost full on a Saturday night”
“Dined in today. Highly recommended. This restaurant was first established in 1931 (almost 1 century ago!!) Fantastic food and very hygienic! I knew the business owner and his wife for years, and they are all germophobes (me too. That is why I'm so serious about hygiene in restaurants!) Xiao Long Bao, Won Ton, and BBQ ribs are all must-tries!!!”
“I just came back from Italy 2 weeks ago, I surprisingly found out there is a gelato store.
Well , The lady is super friendly.
The store is very clean.
However, to be frankly the gelato is actually not gelato.
Gelato should be very soft, softer than cotton candy, it doesn't have the crunchy nor icy texture, just purely soft and smooth.
You don't bite it , just sip in.
It is not bad as a ice cream store , but sorry not gelato.”

“Thursday Nights !! A+ Bartender Rosie goes above and beyond . I’m not only if she friendly and acknowledges any and every person who walks in she’s not like other bartenders I’ve seen other establishments who are on their phone more than they are working. She brings in a collective of different patrons all friendly Never once not felt safe when I am there It’s a shame the other Bartenders at this places sister establishment in Covina were as well Trained as Rosie. Or even new had to make a drink Tina’s Tavern Thursdays Hands down the place to be”
