“All the meats are so fresh, I love beef tongue the most. As some comments suggested, don't cook too long so I cooked majority of those as medium rare, which tastes really good. Service is also good, they always gave big smile. Not like some other bbq restaurants, there is no smoke, it's like high level Japanese bbq restaurants. For sure I'll come back!”

The restaurant description promised contemporary Chinese cuisine, but it actually had a lot of Japanese inspired dishes, like shrimp tempura and grilled octopus. I could only taste Chinese influence in the provided sauces. The Crispy Shrimp was absolutely perfect. The Octopus was decent, a bit harder than you'd like. We also tried Grilled vegetable mix and all the ingredients were cooked differently: the potato was well cooked through, but the pumpkin was practically raw.I'm a bit hesitant to come back, but I'd like to give it another try, maybe with the chef's menu.Interior and concept are definitely different from the rest of the neighborhood and provide a welcome respite.”

I came for the tuna empanada and liked the beef flavor the most. “I ordered a dozen chocolate chip cookies for a thanksgiving party I was attending and everyone enjoyed that the chocolate chip cookies weren't overly sweet. The cookies were large size compared to other places. The service was quick and professional. The place was simple and looked clean. I was their only patron and I was worried at first the cookies were stale or not gonna bring life to our party but I got a pat on my back for choosing the right cookie for the party. “Finally got to try Fennel Bistro during my lunch work hours and it was very satisfying. The meats were cooked deliciously and the flavors were spot on. The clay rice was crispy and well flavored. The meat to rice ratio was perfect for my preference. The place is simplistic and clean. Random, but it was fun to see the steam rise from the clay pots every so often inside, and it feels like a huge humidifier. No issues at all with the service, our waitress was very kind to explain how to pick out and order the clay pot combos.”

“You had dinner in this area and are looking for dessert and you end up in this cute little crepe shop with the best variety of crepes available in the area. The place is cozy, good service, and has amazing crepe. I would definitely recommend you to try this after your meal here or even get some and share it with friends and family if it seems too much for one person. “We were looking for a dim sum place and after a quick read through of reviews I thought this place had some. Well there was like 5 things. We ordered the chicken feet and it was pretty good. The rest were like actual authentic Chinese food (that you probably will need an acquired taste for) so unless you feel adventurous this isn’t your typical Chinese fare.I gave four stars because food wasn’t very hot although served pretty speedily. Portions were good too. The environment was ok, like a mom and pop restaurant with limited seating which is what I’d go for quiet, quick bite while watching some cdrama.. it’s just that this type of Chinese food isn’t my thing.”

Instead of asking if you're ready to order they just stare at you awkwardly leaving you guessing when they're ready to take your order. No friendly welcome and they make you feel like an inconvenience to serve with their sour faces, apathetic tones, and unapproachable demeanor. As a food service worker myself I understand having bad days but your atittude towards customers represents the company you work for. Do better.”

“The first time here and the service was great, friendly, and accommodated a large group.I ordered the Lomo Saltado Beef, which is very tasty. The ceviche de pescado (picante) was delicious, I also ordered the Papa ala Huancaina. Everything was delicious. I recommend going to this small hidden gem.Vegetarian options: There are several options for vegetarians, I wouldn't really recommend it for vegans as several of the dishes will have some kind of cheese base in the sauce or dish.”

“Teddy's Taco was really good! My co-worker recommended the Jalapeno taco. So, I ordered one Jalapeno taco, one carne asada street taco, and one barbacoa street taco. All three were good but that blank taco was REALLY GOOD! It has a whole grilled jalapeno, creamy avocado sauce and marinated raisins in the meat. Now, I know what you're thinking but the little hint of sweetness the raisins add just takes this taco over the top and differentiates it from any other taco I've ever had. I wish I had gotten three of those instead of just one but since it was my first time I wanted to try a couple of different things. Next time I go to Teddy's Tacos I will be getting three of those. Delicioso! ???Now, I also tried the Cucumber Margarita and that was pretty good too. They put chamoy and tajin around the rim of the glass, as you can see in the picture. The lady that took my order said that it's a wine based margarita instead of tequila, which is interesting but also makes it not so strong since I had to go back to work. If you're in the area give Teddy's Tacos a try! ?✌?”

“The food and service have improved significantly since we dined in 2 years ago. Everything we ordered, from combination fried rice, sausage rice to joy pot, were excellent and big portions. They have a sauce bar where you can choose a dipping sauce with small add-ons such as green onions and such. I would come here again to try the other soup bases offered. Although slow traffic at the time of eating, the service was good, however the servers were busy being on their phones or sitting around. Atmosphere was nice.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options on the meat section, additional add-ons and broth section to allow vegetarians to have the same experience as those that eat meats.Wheelchair accessibility: The chairs can be pulled out to allow wheelchair accessibility.”

“First time here and we absolutely loved it. The food is very authentic and it feels like I’m at someone’s home eating home cooked food. My 18 month old daughter really liked the quesadilla with birria using a handmade flour tortilla. My husband ordered the torta ahogada and tacos de barbacoa estilo Guadalajara. I ordered two tacos de Carnitas and it was very delicious! The potato filling is soft and plenty. The carnitas are also very flavorful and filling.You can count on us coming back next time we’re in town.”

Tastes authentic and do-able.4.5 star food. On Both take out orders, the skewers felt a little cooler than I was expecting to be fresh off the grill. But the taste is good and portion is much larger than Little Skewers, so this alone makes it feel more worth it to return.3 star service. Service was average typical China-Chinese, non-American style. Waited quite a long time to order take out as they seems to be busy & short staffed Friday night around 10 pm. Ordered again next evening on Saturday around 5:30 pm and barely any customers at that time so the order was fast.3 star other. Friday night, the restaurant dining area and the whole plaza, in general, smells like cigarettes. So many smokers seem to hang out in that plaza at that time. Not a pleasant smell walking around. The restaurant also habitually leaves cardboard containers and boxes out on the walkway (right outside the restaurant kitchen door) which makes the restaurant look very China-ghetto. I wish they didn’t do that. Is that even legal to be leaving trash out on the walkway like that? So the standard of cleanliness and organization brings down the restaurant a notch.Overall, I would return from time to time if I happen to feel like it.”

The add ons include protein such as prawns and a ton of veggies to choose from! There even were three types of tofu! I have never had create your own roast fish like this before and I am a fan for life!!They also offer skewers, cold dishes, fried rice, noodles and a wide range of drinks! Yes of course we did get skewers and were pleasantly surprised by the yummy seasoning and the meat was tender and juicy! Ordered both bafang signature ramen and another spicy ramen but they both tasted almost the same and almost no spicy so if you add more chili sauce that they provide be generous with it to get the spice. I also got the mini wonton soup which was also really good, the wontons were perfect no complaints and the broth was a great compliment to the wontons. If you like more flavor fry mixing in the chili sauce and some ginger sauce that they have in and trust it elevates it a lot. Their soy mango drink is also really good not too sweet and I added boba which went really good with it. 9/10 would definitely go again but not so much for the ramen because there want enough spice to call it spicy and both spicy ramens tasted the same.”

“I've been here three times now and I think this is a great little neighborhood dessert spot. Their original coffee buns when baked fresh are semi-sweet with a light coffee flavor and savory buttery taste on the inside. The coffee bun is great mix of textures with a crispy outside and a fluffy soft inside. This place also has korean shaved ice and good ol' pineapple dole whip as well as a few other soft serve iced cream flavors to spice up the variety. I haven't had any of the coffee yet, but I will one day.”

“It has been our second visit to this location and we've loved all the drinks we've gotten there. We live in NorCal and always make a spot to grab a drink here on the way in to see family in corona ca. I can tell their matcha is great quality and their selections of teas are blend well with the matcha. They have soft served too which is even more fun but hard in a good way when you want a drink and soft served ahah. They didn't have any more boba when we we there and hoping that is always available is small batches until they close so they don't waste it, cause it was yummy the last time we had it. I wish they had bathrooms available for customers for those who want to sit and hang or come far. We drove 5 hours and my baby needed to be changed as we were ordering and we didn't have anywhere to, they told us to go somewhere else, but hoping that maybe have something for paying customers for convenience as I'm sure their employees have a place to use. Parking can be bad on weekends as it's in a plaza with a lot of other yummy food/drink places, but recommend it's worth a spot if you love matcha and good boba tea. The place is small intimate with about 3 tables to sit and hang for a short time. Will still come back for the drinks and soft served!”

“Been ordering cakes from here for many years and love every cake ordered. We've bought regular cakes the same day, special ordered, and customized for baptisms. The only sad part about everything is that they stopped making the sponge cakes with jello . I only wished they would bring it back because I've been craving it for years. The bean sprouts with duck meat tastes like it was also cooked in duck broth. The duck soup is definitely rich but not salty. Duck has lots of collagen, so it has its benefits.It's a small place hence it's a good idea to reserve ahead of time.”

We drive all the way from Torrance to eat here since the JJ that we have locally doesn't have a cafe. The cafe makes this particular location! It's basically a fully functioning restaurant with a proper menu. We had the fried pork chop noodle soup, a braised pork rice (Luroufan) and a bento combo. All were comforting and delicious. Now look, the emphasis is in COMFORT as I'm stressing for the 3rd time here. This isn't food that's going to blow your mind but it is SOLID, especially the fried and braised meats. The way it should be done for traditional Taiwanese food. Big portions, good prices, great value. None of that neatly cut and plated modern stuff for $15-20 an entree (im lookin at you Little Fatty, but also, RIP). You get a damn set of entree, 2 sides, and a soup for $13. And then you pickup breads, pastries, and desserts or a milk tea to finish it off. And THAT'S worth the 5 stars to me every time.”

“It’s honestly a trek when you have to drive almost two hours from one side of town in Pasadena…. to be on the other side of town to get boba at Half & Half Tea House, in Rowland Heights (technically City of Industry but oh well, it doesn’t matter at this point). I’ve heard many good things about this place, especially with the recommendations my friends gave me, so when I was in SoCal this time around, I KNEW I had to give this place a try for it’s buck.I was NOT disappointed at all. In fact, I was AMAZED at how they made their drinks. Not only were they cheap for their price, but everything came out to a decent price. Here’s my take:

Food/I got the fresh milk tea with honey, boba, and pudding. When I say this to you… the boba at Half & Half Tea House was absolutely delicious. The tapioca pearls were FRESHLY cooked, with just the right amount of chewiness. The fresh milk tself was rich and creamy, with a perfect balance of sweetness as I requested to give them. I could tell that they used high-quality ingredients in their drinks, as the flavors were so fresh and vibrant. Each sip was like a little taste of heaven.Not only was the boba incredible, but the service at Half & Half Tea House was also top-notch. The staff were friendly and attentive, always ready to answer any questions or make recommendations. They made sure that my order was prepared exactly how I wanted it, and even offered to customize it further if needed. The atmosphere in the store was warm and inviting, despite the fact I went in 15 minutes before they closed LOL.will say that the atmosphere wasn’t always the best, but they did have a lot of leeway so you could take your pictures on top of the table and post it for your IG or TikTok.Overall, my experience at Half & Half Tea House was fantastic. The combination of amazing boba and exceptional service made for a truly memorable visit. The next time that I’m in SoCal, I will definitely be returning to try more of their delicious drinks in the future. “It has been our second visit to this location and we've loved all the drinks we've gotten there. We live in NorCal and always make a spot to grab a drink here on the way in to see family in corona ca. I can tell their matcha is great quality and their selections of teas are blend well with the matcha. They have soft served too which is even more fun but hard in a good way when you want a drink and soft served ahah. They didn't have any more boba when we we there and hoping that is always available is small batches until they close so they don't waste it, cause it was yummy the last time we had it. I wish they had bathrooms available for customers for those who want to sit and hang or come far. We drove 5 hours and my baby needed to be changed as we were ordering and we didn't have anywhere to, they told us to go somewhere else, but hoping that maybe have something for paying customers for convenience as I'm sure their employees have a place to use. Parking can be bad on weekends as it's in a plaza with a lot of other yummy food/drink places, but recommend it's worth a spot if you love matcha and good boba tea. The place is small intimate with about 3 tables to sit and hang for a short time. Will still come back for the drinks and soft served!”

“The food was great the pork and cabbage dumplings with soy sauce were bomb. Ordered both bafang signature ramen and another spicy ramen but they both tasted almost the same and almost no spicy so if you add more chili sauce that they provide be generous with it to get the spice. I also got the mini wonton soup which was also really good, the wontons were perfect no complaints and the broth was a great compliment to the wontons. If you like more flavor fry mixing in the chili sauce and some ginger sauce that they have in and trust it elevates it a lot. Their soy mango drink is also really good not too sweet and I added boba which went really good with it. 9/10 would definitely go again but not so much for the ramen because there want enough spice to call it spicy and both spicy ramens tasted the same.”

“Our waitress was perfect. She was patient and answered all of the questions that my dad and I had. She explained that this location no longer serves pitchers of beer, nor do they have any buckets for bucket of beers. But she found a couple of water pitchers and made us a bucket anyway. My complaint is this, the franchise needs to update their HAPPY HOUR menu. If an item or product is not being sold or not available anymore, remove it from the menu! Our poor server wasted a lot of her time explaining what wasn't available.”
