“This is a must try for good food and ambiance. It is a throw back diner that shouts out "LA" with old times music and friendly service. Big shoutout to Lorenzo who was our server. He was super friendly, had great recommendations and was very attentive. The food was very good with solid choices for breakfast. You do have to be ready for LA prices, but it is definitely worth every penny. All the dishes we had were fresh and tasty. The waffles and chicken wings were my favorite.“
“We ordered the fish and waffle (cinnamon roll style) and the fish and gritz, with fried green tomatoes.Everything was excellent! Service was friendly and attentive. Location is a bit tight and not the greatest, but I would definitely go back again!“
“Oh the burritos, magical! My daughter’s favorite burrito in LA and I can taste why. Fresh ingredients without the trend to add potatoes as filler. Simple and perfect, highly recommended for take-out / delivery as the seating (and parking) is an adventure.“
“Food was amazing. Had the Cali scramble and the fried chicken and pancakes. The guy who greeted us at first was very nice. After that, the service was sub par. Food got there and we didn’t have silverware. Then the waitress never came back to check on us. I asked for a coffee refill and she forgot. Had to ask someone else afterwards.Maybe it was just of off day for them. Food wise, fantastic. Would definitely return.“
“The food was tasty! Came out not even 10 Min after we ordered.( There were 3 orders before us)Fair priced for the food but drinks do seem overpriced. You can eat at the tables outside and listen to LA trafficParking: The paid parking behind the building is 3$ every 15min (limit 18$ in price) egg tuck doesn't validate but Starbucks does when you purchase (for only 30min)“
“Cute cafe, feels like your inside someone's home, and the food is delicious. Nice crispy hashbrows and the omelet was 10/10. Highly recommend the grilled blueberry muffin....its the perfect blend of crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.“
“Located in Studio City and serving patrons since 1964, Vivian’s is a classic diner option in the valley. It’s very small on the inside with only a few large tables. They also have more seating in the back, but we were able to find a seat for two in the front for a 10:30 Sunday brunch. They don’t have a dedicated parking lot so it will be metered street parking, which is not that hard to find in the valley. Our server was polite and all of our items came out quickly. I am giving 4/5 stars because the food quality isn’t as good as some other places close by like More Than Waffles, Bob’s, or Paty’s and the inside could use a cleaning. The floor was very dirty under our table and the table next to us even complained about it.I started off with a Coffee, which is my go to order at any diner. For my meal I chose the Eggs Benedict with a Biscuit on the side. The Eggs Benedict had a nice flavor but the eggs were undercooked and runny. They did not have the true poached consistency with the yolk covering the dish, it was too watery and splashed out as soon as I cut into it. Also the biscuit was as flat as an English muffin and really lacked the biscuit or buttermilk flavor. We also ordered the 2x2x2 and the pancakes were actually very good, but it’s also very hard to mess up pancakes. It was not a bad meal by any means, but certainly not as good of one as others I have had close by on the same street.Overall I would say it could be an option if you’re already in the valley and the more popular spots have too long of wait times.Parking: no parking lot, only metered street parkingWheelchair accessibility: no stairs or incline to enter/exit“
“It was very busy observing the holiday but this staff was kicking butt. They were still friendly and kind. I forgot to ask for a receipt and they were so accommodating despite being busy. I got a cappuccino and the lox. Very yummy! Will be back!“
“Not too busy for the two times I've been here for brunch on a weekday. Nice there's 90 minutes validated parking below although both times I found a spot on the street. Their Blue erry French Toast with cloud bread was an amazing contrast of texture and color, sweet without adding any syrup. Their ricotta pancakes have a delicate crumb, just enough moisture and sweetness with the marmalade like sauce. Want to go back to try their mochi waffle. We tried a sweet preparation of million dollar bacon and it was very good and at the price it must be hard to make. Coffee is full bodied dark delicious.Wheelchair accessibility: We had an easy time gaining access with a walker and able to tuck it to the side of us when eating.“
“The staff is very helpful and friendly. The food has always been delicious. And the place is very comfortable. I thank the staff for being so nice and kind. Mt first visit was on my birthday last year and we love coming to Red Maple. Love the photos on the coffee too.“
“We were loyal customers for over 10 years and over a year ago we consistently had bad service the food and drinks were not the quality we were used to from The Coffee Company so we stopped going! Today we decided to give it another try and were pleasantly surprised with Rosalinda , who was our server and is a gem, the food /drinks were delicious like we were used to!We’ll be going again and hopefully we will get Rosalinda“
“My family and I always enjoyed the elegant, understated atmosphere with a generous touch of great service and delicious menu choices. The coffee is simply the best!Kid-friendliness: We always stayed with our two children. Lovely. The staff was always kind and accommodating .“
“Really tasty and fluffy egg breakfast burritos. I go hear often for them. Unfortunately their burritos seem to be suffering now from shrink-flation. Unless they're dropping the prices for that change in size, it's kinda sneeky of them to do that in my opinion.“
“I grew up in Texas and have spent a lot of time in Mexico. Chilaquiles are my favorite food and I have eaten 100s of different versions. This is hands down the best. I'm in a state of pure joy. The red sauce was absolutely perfect. Thank you so much! The chefs here are very talented.“
“I sadly don't have pictures because the food was just that good & when I tell you that the phone always eats first.... From the croissant french toast to the BEC burrito & building your own omelette everything was 10000/10. I highly recommend. Oh and we barely waited for the food, everything came out very quick. Will def be back when back in town!“
“Haven’t been back to Bru’s in a minute. The waffles and chicken always hit and looks like they still do! This time around we pivoted and tried something different as their menu has a GRAND selection.Upon going to the gender neutral bathrooms, I noticed that they had an outdoor seating patio now and that the interior wasn’t as crowded. That means less lines and more immediate service. We were fortunate to get our food and drinks within a short span of time.“
“Really sweet place with a quiet cheel vibe, old timey decor, filled with little pictures and you can see the cook working through the little window.Food was great, arrived piping hot, hashbrowns were crispy on the outside but hearty and soft on the inside, omellete was cooked great and with the right amount of additions(i took feta, mushrooms, spinach), toast was hot but not burnt, pancake soft and yummi, only thing i would improve is capuccino arrived too hot to drink with my meal.Waitress was very kind and sweet with a good service attitude. Place was full but i still got service and my food quickly.“
“First off, the prices are pretty reasonable for the area. In the Arts District where you can expect your coffee to be $7, $9ish for a full cocktail is not bad! I've enjoyed everything here, the fried chicken in particular was well-seasoned. The only thing I thought was meh was the fried broccolini, the batter was a little too heavy for me so I didn't finish it.You seat yourself and can either order using the QR code at your table or try to flag someone down, but mobile order seems faster. There is also self-serve water. My only suggestion is that sometimes it can get quite sunny so would be nice to have some kind of shades when the sun is getting low and get in your eyes.Update: sounds like the shade issue has been resolved since I've last gone! Thanks Théron!“
“We came from Toronto and wanted something kid friendly my wife came accross this restaurant on google and we came here for breakfast. What a place food quality was on point and service was amazing.Thank you so much for a great morning breakfast.“
“Great fast food breakfast joint a little indulgence over egg McMuffin.I love eggs and this serves me right. Eggs were super fluffy and the buns are velvety airy but buttery. I can almost finished whole thing in 3 bites. Truffle fries were great too!I think the celebrity loves them too ? ( Is this Timothee Chalamet?“
“While the food might be average, the phenomenal drinks and excellent service make this place shine. The great location, complemented by a lovely patio, adds to the overall appeal. A solid choice for those seeking a delightful atmosphere and impressive beverages.“
“I can't wait to go back to The Waffle! lol The break is amazing! I got the classic Belgian waffle and it did not disappoint! I came with a group of 7 and everyone enjoyed their food. The mimosas are on point as well and we ordered a few shots which were pretty big for the price, which I like! The service and location are great. Highly recommend!“
“Fantastic new spot in the heart of Silverlake! Highly recommend here if in the area. Food is extremely good along with the house made cocktails and drinks. Great place to go before work for a coffee or after work for a drink. Ambiance is fantastic as well. Really enjoyed my experience here and will definitely be coming back.“
“Pupusas! This is typically open during the farmers market. Pupusas are 3 for 10. Highly recommend the spinach as cheese as it's my favorite. If it's hard to find look for the farmer's market and the sign. It's open for business sort of in an alley on the backside of a bar I believe. If you're looking for great pupusas in the Glendale area this is the place to go!“
“Incredible breakfast! Top notch quality and incredibly delicious! My berry crepes was perfect! Not too sweet and hit a spot. My wife’s omelette to order was perfectly done! The cheese sandwich my son ordered are out of this world! I highly recommend it!“
“Fox News is one of those places that I take out of town visitors and they always love it. The food is great, high quality. The house-made "cinnamon roll French toast" is, hands down one of my favorite things to order at any restaurant on Earth. They have an outdoor patio where you can bring your well-behaved dog!Parking: They have a second parking lot that is access off of the street that runs behind foxy's.“
“Today was my birthday ?. I wanted nice ambiance, good food and excellent service. Crustaceans is the place we started with champagne, crab ? cakes and delicious delicate wontons, truffle Caesar, accompanied by lemon drop martini and for main course garlic noodles & Dungeness Crab. Absolutely delicious ?“
“Great place to eat breakfast or brunch & we got there after noon time and this place was amazing. Their serving is big and very good and we were impressed how good the food was and would come back again if we are in the neighborhood. I had the Chicken & Waffle, my wife had Matcha Pancake and this place have so much choices. The service and the area was great and I can highly recommend it“
