“Most dishes were outstanding! And the personalized touch for our anniversary was lovely The quail appetizer was more breading than quail. My scallops were a tad too rare despite best efforts on the second attempt. We enjoy the creativity of the chef and appreciate the staff's commitment to fine dining which is lacking in most other Sacramento restaurants.“
“Went there for our first time and it was fantastic! Make reservations, which we didn't know we needed. However, there was a seats at the bar which is perfect for us. The bartender recommended food and we accepted, and so pleased we did! Calamari, prawn linguine and sausage linguine. His service and response time was impeccable. We also added the house wine to our meal which was a very good cab. No tap beers...the tappers were all fake and just for the look. Lol. Overall....we will be returning!“
“Where do I begin. As soon as you walk in, you get a warm smile like a hug from Carmelita! The place looks really high end and the ambiance is extremely welcoming and calming. They know what they are doing and I wish them the best of success. We are forever customers now. When we sat down, Carmelita, explained everything about the menu, what is great, what she loves, what is popular, and what she thinks we like. We ended up having a Cesar salad, and 2 pizzas ( names under pictures). From the first bite, my eyes closed, and it was bliss. The dough was light and airy, the crust was full of flavor, and each bite takes you to another world. They know what they are doing and we met the chef to thank him for what he did. They have other styles of pizza so we are definitely coming back for the Detroit style deliciousness. Thank you for the delicious food, hospitality, and overall experience.“
“A true gem! Everything about our experience was just lovely. Get the bread and butter (!), the sides were amazing, the cacio de peppe lived up to the hype, and the special was great. All around would recommend to anyone! A reservation is a must, this place was packed.“
“The Pere con Prosciutto, pictured, was both light and delightful, and made for a perfect appetizer. The Negroni I had pre meal is worth a return visit on it's own. I was torn between the well renowned Lasagne, which I experienced many many years ago in it's original incarnation, and the Spaghetti allá Carbonara. I went with the Carbonara and had no regrets, but now definitely need to visit again soon for another Negroni and to revisit the Lasagne. Great selection of wines to pair with your meal, and also available is one of my favorite beers to pair with a meal, Peroni. Desserts are made in house. Looking forward to a return visit.“
“I picked up a tuna sandwich from here for lunch today. Boy was it delicious. It came with a salad as well that I'll have later with dinner. It was extra for cheese, but that is to be expected. I saw eggplant Parmesan in the case. So I'll be back for that.“
“This family-owned small business is awesome. Their pizza is one of Sacramento's best, the ingredients are fresh and the food is served hot in a timely manner. The staff are always friendly and professional. The restaurant is clean and great for families.“
“The vegan pizza is amazing every time. We tried the pepperoni and the butter chicken and although spicy, the butter chicken pizza was delicious. The service is pretty good, they do attempt to upsell the drinks which I don’t mind. I did not like the videos on the tv screens and the music as they had cursing and you don’t know what is going to pop up on tik tok. So I don’t think we would dine here as a family.“
“This place is making all the other delivery pizza places look bad. Pizza is always made perfect. If you need help with anything ordering online, when you call they will step in and make it so easy for you. The pizza is so good but the prices are reasonable. They don't charge for ranch which I was so shocked by. The delivery charge is so cheap. We now order once a week for a family of 4.“
“Came here for dinner last night and tried the lemon Italian sausage pizza. Very delicious! I also got the bread pudding with a French press coffee. Jason was our server and he was very friendly and gave good suggestions. We love coming here!“
“Went for the first time for our 33 anniversary. The services and food was amazing. The focaccia bread and butter were extraordinary. Even the Butter was awesome, creamy and best we've had. The beet salad was a piece of art, both to the palate and to my eyes. Tomato onion soup was outstanding. The entrees of scallops were good but the duck confit casserole was incredible. Perfect portions. Water glasses never got to half empty. Great experience and staff made it very special. Thank you to all of the Waterboy staff, made the night special.“
“Okay let me give this review straight from my hearts stomach. Having lived in New York for many many years Brooklyn Staten Island New Rochelle I gotta tell ya how amazing how superb absolutely genuine Anthony's Italian Cuisine is look I would be absolutely thrilled to take my New York friends into this Sacramento establishment.Anthony's Italian cuisine should be your go-to for an absolute wholesome Italian meal. Bravo ? salut. I highly recommend you come on over toAnthony's fine Italian cuisine bring your family friends neighbors coworkers you will not be disappointed I give you my wordI assure you your gonna love it capiche“
“One of Sacramento's premier restaurants. Place is tiny and warm and reminds me very much of my family and the food I ate growing up. The entire menu is perfect top to bottom and I couldn't recommend it more. The family also has a bed and breakfast and winery located in Italy and they feature some of their wines on the menu. Staff is knowledgeable and the right amount of friendly where it doesn't feel inauthentic. I love this place so much. Every time I go here I am reminded of my grandma's cooking and enjoy every minute of my meal.10/5 stars.Mangiamo!“
“Took myself to lunch for my birthday waitress was nice and helpful and when I boxed up my soup she filled it for me which was nice. Food was very yummyParking: Lots of parkingKid-friendliness: Kids where there and in high chairsWheelchair accessibility: There was a ramp“
“Great Czech cuisine with an Italian option. A must stop for authentic Czech food or take out pizza. We are from our of state but stop in when we come to Sacramento. The restaurant has just gotten better and better over the last 7 years. It is clear they love what they do and want to share it we us. Again, this is a must stop dinning experience.“
“Great pizza, hands down. The dough is what makes it so worth checking out. And the tomato sauce is simple yet flavorful! The chili olive oil at the table is a must to up the flavor! Tried the 3 meat combo and the non tomato one called the triana w chorizo, garlic and chili oil baked in with arugula added after baking, so fresh tasting!“
“The food was great and so was the service. It was our first time and the server recommended some options. We took her suggestion and placed our order. 1 pepperoni, one margarita, garlic parm wings, and meatballs. Everything tasted great. Make sure you get the ranch to taste homemade and it's great on everything hehehe. :-) We will definitely be back soon.“
“Very good food. The portions for the food we ordered were pretty satisfying. The service was nice. No one went above and beyond for my group, but I was not upset by the service. The decor was very nice. I felt cozy and had plenty of heat from the above heater while dining outside.“
“Great food in open kitchen and bar that allows for a larger group but leaves space for intimate space when needed. Pizza is the best but remember to try some pasta dishes as well. Beer and wine selection is nice display of local and some larger brewers that match well with all “
“Good food - we had pasta dishes. Pretty pricey for what it is ($20+ for a vegetarian penne dish which is really MAYBE 1.5 servings). Ambiance is very cute and Italian inspired. They were understaffed during our visit but managed. The drinks are a good value - you basically get two drinks for the price of one.“
“03.2024After a long long time found a gem.Tried their Soya Chap in Tikka flavour and believe me it’s better than some food joints in Delhi and Panjab. Mouthwatering good. Also there Aaloo tikki (without yogurt) and Masala Sikanji are must try. Can’t wait to comeback and eat them again“
“I remember having a lot of our pizza parties here when I played youth soccer that was over 25 years ago and they’re still in business for a reason I see. I came back and it’s still as good as I remember. Great pizza and great owners that care about the south Sacramento “
“I had the Short Rib Pappardelle, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I shared a large salad, and it was huge but a bit messy to share. I also had the tiramisu which was served in a cup. It was pretty good but not the best I ever had.I thought this was a sit-down restaurant, but you order your food at the counter and then the food is brought to you. This was fine, but considering the cost of the food, I would expect table service. The menu seemed a bit limited, especially since their catering menu offers a lot more, but overall, it was a good experience, and I would probably go again at some point.“
“Very good Gluten Free GF pizza. Great taste, amazing crust and lots of cheese! The tables have stands with a warmer for the pizza to sit on, very nice touch. The server was incredibly attentive and courteous. Great experienceDietary restrictions: Gluten free pizza was very good, no reactions from a highly-sensitive celiac.“
“Our waitress Angelina was the best waitress ever. I am so glad she was our waitress. My 2 daughters and I was celebrating my birthday. Angelina deserved 100 stars. She kept asking us there anything I can get you.How was our food? Thank You Angelina for making my birthday special. She wrote Happy Birthday on plate with a chocolate cheesecake!“
“Needed a bite after studying at the Central Library and noticed 8th Street pizza across from the parking garage. Walked in and asked for pepperoni and a cheese. Took less that 10 min, paid $14 for 2 mammoth slices and a glass bottle coke. Huge Slices, great flavor, maximum cheese stretch, great seasoning in the sauce. I can't remember the owners name but he was nice and makes a great pizza. I'm coming back to try the "Sacramento"“
“This is totally a parent perspective, but it's a bit of relief to know this option is here. The two times we were here, I was impressed with the quality of the food, the selections and the service. For a buffet style dorm food, expectations weren't high. But definitely an improvement from the old days. And again, everything was hot and pretty decent. For the convenience, $15 was a bargain for the quality. And the student servers were all polite and efficient. Very impressed overall.“
“So happy we came across this location. Their vegan specialty pizzas are amazing. I always crave Indian style pizza because it's just. So. Good. Indian curry on pizza?? Yes please. Also we got a vegan 2 topping large pizza with pepperoni and olives. So. Good. So simple and nostalgic and VEGAN. And wait for it... the combo deal for a large speciality and 2 topping was only 36 bucks. Plus the service is really nice, if you order online and pick up, there's hardly a wait. We've already been here multiple times, can't recommend enough“
“We had a delicious dinner at Zinfandel Grill tonight. Started with a calamari appetizer with our drinks. As always, this calamari is always tender; never chewy. We had pizza & Mary's chicken, both of which was great. Our waitress, Corina, was excellent & had a sweet personality. Can't wait to go back.“
“We really enjoyed our dinner here. The servers didn't constantly bug us but were there when they were needed. The calamari was fantastic, the penne alla vodka was delicious, but my scaloppine alla modenese was good, but on the greasy side. And at that price, we'll, I expect more.“
“The food was nicely prepared and nicely presented. The service could not have been better. The decor was modern, comfortable and pleasing. My only quibble and hence the less than stellar ambiance score is with the music played during the entire meal. The thump, thump, thumping of the bass was unpleasant and could not be ignored. Not my idea of dinner music.“
“Dimmed environment, service friendly. Not sure if you are supposed to have a reservation, because the first questioned was " did you have a reservation?" We said no they said " just a moment". There were two tables filled with two guests a piece. It had maybe 12 tables and three booths. We ordered spaghetti vegetarian, the chicken and my nephew ordered buttered noodles. Service was great, attentive and nice. The food was hearty but for me, no flavor. It's always good to try something once but everyone has different taste buds.If you are looking for a nice quite place with great service and people this is the place.“
“I LOVE this place!!!! The staff is fantastic. The food is amazing and it's such a cute little spot. Their pizza and its crust has such a good flavor and their garlic cheese bread is amazing. I would go back again many more times. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and family.Parking: Street parking only and it is a small street. We have always been able to find parking though.“
“My family has been a customer for over 40 years. And under all the different owners. I remember when you ordered the the steak special you would get salad and pasta glass of wine of course the steak Plus soup and ice cream. Now you get the steak a choice of salad or soup, pasta, and bread and a glass of wine. The people of West Sac love this place, it's like family. I hate driving too Folsom or Dixon to go to Cattlemen which I do like. Even the chef came out to ask how's the food was. He told us he was from San Francisco. Hey if you want fancy go to Cattlemen, if you want the family feeling go to Vincent's. But this is just my opinion as always.“
