“We had breakfast here & it was absolutely delicious!! We love the European pastries - not terribly sweet like the American pastries & so flaky & yummy! The Shakshuka was to die for & their hamantachen cookies were the best I've ever had. It's a tiny place & not the most comfortable environment to eat but the food & service make up for it.“

“It's more than an ice cream shop! Colorful chandeliers, plushies forever, nostalgic purses, candies, fudge, and other things that make the young and old happy ~ happens here! If you want a decked out Sundae, OR a specialty treat such as the Sloan's Hot Bombs that are donuts filled with a scoop of ice cream (how dreamy!!), OR one of their "luxury" shakes, OR their original hot chocolate, these all make a perfect any-type-of-mood treat! This is a great place for a few photo ops too! My daughter and I spent time here playing with some of the toys, and laughing at some of their gift items. We just finished with lunch, so I am glad I stumbled into this place to satisfy my sweet tooth. I opted for the Sloans Original Hot Chocolate! It's smooth, not too sweet, marshmallow-y, and yummy. I can't wait to come back to try their other treats!“

Although surrounded by the Freeway and Ventura Blvd, Lodge Bread has successfully found a way to create a cozy, earthy and homy environment for the community to find a safe heaven in.Their menu showcases a wide spectrum of colourful and delicious looking offerings.Although I personally could only find a Cesar Salad + an Avocado Toast as a VEGAN, I still enjoy coming by to enjoy my afternoon Matcha, with the occasional croissant 'cheat' or grabbing some delicious Rye bread for the house.I hope to see more Plant Based options in the future <3“
“Fresh cream, fresh strawberries, soft delicate white cake -- this birthday cake was sublime! They call it strawberry shortcake, but I don't know why as it is not short of anything. See my photos :) Our family have bought from Porto's for fresh birthday cakes -- and I'm not knocking Porto's as they are pretty great. But La Creme was easily as good or better, and price was $1 different than Porto's. No fussing with driving, parking, lining up. This is a charming store/small business. A really lovely lady assisted us with all the warmth of a family member we just hadn't met yet. The bakery is in the back, right corner of the strip mall everyone blocks while they are lined up to enter In' n' Out's drive through. We'll be back, La Creme! The cake was a big hit. Thank you“
