“Alice's has gotten better over the years. There's more and better outdoor space, there's more variety in the menu (a full set of pizzas and panini are now available -- tasty!), and the entrees have been upgraded, e.g. with better sauces. There's a central order station now and buzzers instead of table service but that works very well at Alice's. Thursday night live music is higher quality too with more variety.I'm not sure whether the tie-up is still there so your horse can drink while you eat. I suggest calling ahead if you want to do that.“

Roadtrip Bowls Made by Lazy Dog American •
2208 Bridgepointe Pkwy Building C6, San Mateo - 9.16 miles

“Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.“

“This was another adventure for dinner thanks to a Yelp search. I didn't realize the menu concept, or I missed it while checking out the menu online. But, I am glad that it all worked out.Visiting Belmont, we decided to choose this restaurant. I loved that they had hot dogs, sausages, and hamburgers. I am not vegetarian, but there were quite a few options for those who are not meat eaters. As we entered, I heard talking, laughter and the football game. The person who took our order shared with me his suggestions and I went for them. I had the chili cheese tots and the Holy Aoli burger. Didn't realize that all burgers are sliders. My burger was actually 4 sliders! One patty with 4 Hawaiian rolls as buns...yum. I asked for extra green onions on my chili tots, which were plentiful. My mother in love ordered their special Thanksgiving sausage, and my husband had the Reservoir Hog. I yell you, the menu is unique as it is good. Who would have thought that no hormone or antibiotic added meats could be reasonable priced and tasty. I appreciate the relaxed atmosphere and our ability to grab our own condiments, too.“

“A hidden gem for amazing, unique Filipino sandwiches for $10. Zero-wait made to order burgers that are worth the trip. Pork Longganisa - super juicy, aromatic and tender. Probably the best pork patty I've ever had. Unlike the bistek, the flavors here are classic and familiar. It's a solid sandwhich that I would universally recommend. Bistek Burger - I would consider this the specialty item of this food truck. The beef burger is incredibly juicy, and best enjoyed while it's piping hot. The special sauce is the star of the show, with a slight tartness for balance and incredible depth of flavor with a calamansi-forward accents. The burger is bold, assertive, and super unique. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to try something new. At $10 a burger, the food is priced really aggressively. Whether it is to attract early customers, or make a competitive dent in the inflation-driven price hikes of other vendors, this small, local business is offering a great deal! I would take advantage while they are still low-key. It's only a matter of time before it really takes off.“

“First time visiting State Street Market. It was Sunday afternoon about 1:30. Parking is not so great and you have to hope someone is pulling out as you approach. Inside State Street Market, it was pretty busy. I grabbed the first table I saw that was also being used by a family of 4 so we had to share. I let my 3 family members go order their food while I held the table for us. I decided to checkout Konjoe Burger. The cost of the burgers was the first thing I noticed. I thought that if I'm going to spend a lot, I will get a big tasty burger. I ordered the Texas Burger, but now that I'm looking at the menu online, I was given the Smokehouse Burger. I thought this burger was good. It was full of flavor which included candied jalapenos and maple bacon. I thought the burger patties were small or too thin. However, the sandwich itself was good with each bite. Next time I go I may try the Truffle Burger. The fries were also good but next time I'll get the plain fries. The seasoned fries weren't as good as I expected.“

We prefer sitting outside because this is our midpoint during our bicycle rides. This is my first time eating at Grill House. I came here because Riley's hot food self station was closed at 7:30pm. I ordered a cheeseburger with garlic fries $20. It came out in about 10 minutes. It tasted OK. The bun was really dry and they put too much mustard on it. It tasted sour. A better option would be garlic aioli sauce or even plain mayo. Red onions would have made this burger 2x better but it was not included. The garlic fries needed more garlic taste. No garlic burn here. Service was excellent. Good job crew at Grill House.“

“JIMMY V'S!!! One of my FAVORITE cafes to visit on Stanford Campus - they serve the most delicious breakfasts, lunch foods, and smoothies / shakes / drinks. Many of their foods that I have enjoyed include: Athlete Omelet, Norcal Scramble, Huevos Rancheros, Stanford Panini, Chicken Chestnut Salad Melt, and Olympian and Cardinal smoothies! Everything is so on point. All their omelets, paninis, sandwiches, smoothies, everything. I also always come back to the Olympian smoothie, which features apple juice, strawberry, banana, raspberry, peach, and low-fat yogurt. The people at Jimmy V's are literally some of the friendliest and warmest I've ever met - I always see them smiling and making conversation and connections with everyone. The inside of the Sports Cafe is lively with a strong community feel and Stanford school spirit, and it is also busy with students, professors, athletes - you name it! The red walls feature quotes like "Passion is Your Greatest Asset", "You Are Never Wrong To Do The Right Thing", and "Teams That Eat Together Play Together Win Together". Jimmy V's also has multiple HD TVs all around the cafe with different sports channels on. In addition, Jimmy V's has a huge outdoors seating area as well, with both sun umbrellas and natural shade from the large green trees. Jimmy V's is one of the best cafe's ever!!! I have loved everything I've ordered from them so far, and I can't wait to try more. Jimmy V's is also the perfect place for any kind of gathering - with friends, with professors, with sports teammates, or on your own! “My favorite item on the Carl Jr. menu is the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. The Carl's Jr. Redwood City location is very spacious, clean and usually not too busy. I hope this Carl location never goes out of business because nearby is In/Out Burger and Chick-fil-A.“

“Food was prepared as we waited. That is y they get 5 stars. Fast food doesnt mean not fresh. The cashier was a kind lady. She asked if we needed any thing, doubled checked once again. Soda was bubbly. Sandwich was great. Its just as good as ever. ?“
