“Finally made it happen and had the most delicious organic lunch here, for the first time. Wonderfully eclectic & interesting crowd of diners. We had a table for 2 people and a dog within about 10 minutes on a Saturday. The service so friendly and helpful, we were offered drinks while we waited. A welcoming environment & great energy. Nice people, the owner herself and all who work there. Wonderful & cozy chic seating outside. Lots of well mannered dogs making the ambiance even that much more pleasing. This place has very talented & creative chefs. The staff is welcoming and friendly. Great service throughout meal. My hubby had the steak with grilled peppers while I had the most delicious Salmon Salad which was prepared with love & each ingredient such excellent quality. I think we were told our beef came from free range organic farm in Australia. The water they serve is from a local aquaphore and tastes excellent. If I remember correctly our desert was toasted parents with raspberries & a glaze that was uniquely tasty. We will definitely be back to this gem.”

“I had the pleasure of eating here a week ago. The restaurant is the cleanest restaurant I've been in, even in the restroom. The plants and decor sets a vibe. Susan and her son made me feel so welcome. They allowed me to try different things, and Susan even gave me sushi to take with me. The food was fresh. Everything super tasty. I have no complaints and recommend this place to everyone. You can tell they put a lot of thought and effort there. The love and energy are felt as soon as you walk through the door!”

“We were just passing through and stopped to photograph the Joshua tree in front. Never pass up a chance for good bread. The baker was out of bread but very sweetly gave us 2 brioche buns he had left even though they were closed! These folks are kind, and lovely and you should definitely try their bread. It was delicious.”

Staff are mostly good but the afternoons are down to one server and Jose doesn't refill water or drinks because he's too busy talking to customers for a long length of time. “Our meals were as well-prepared as we remembered from our childhood. We're originally from Galesburg, Illinois, the first place SnS founder Gus Belt located one of his restaurants outside Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, so we know what the original tastes and preparations are. Our burger patties had the correct lacy, crisp edges for which SnS is known. The chili tasted exactly like in the old days. The size of the fries is slightly larger than in the 1950s, but I think that's an improvement. The service at this location was excellent; the manager was friendly and informative. We'll return soon!”

The two employees running the store while we were there were so friendly, patient, and were so helpful with recommending flavors.We’re from Texas and I preferred Fiesta Time’s ice cream over Blue Bell, if that means anything to anybody! If you visit you need to get the Hot Cheeto Nachos — I’ve been craving it ever since!

Parking: The business is located in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking.

“I used to come to this location ever since they opened up. I’ve moved away but come back to yucca valley once in awhile and I ALWAYS have to hit up this location. This location is the only place (as far as I know) that has the secret menu “Banana Playhouse”. It is one of my favorites! The atmosphere and staff are always great!

My recent experience a group of me and my friends all got an obnoxiously large order and I think the worker at the time, I think her name was Yadira, was so accommodating and helpful (so sorry Yadira for making the orders long 😂). But glad they are here, always nice to come back and visit!”

“I have never had a sandwich that I couldn't extinguish, until today. I got a stomach call for a large steak and cheese. I had to call in an additional Chihuahua unit to be able to say "code 4".
I loved the local pictures in the shop. Service was Code 3, almost immediate. Stayed warm and fresh until I got it back in quarters. The sandwich had meat and cheese overflowing from the bun, and the veggies were perfectly distributed. Good coverage, Dudes.”
