“4.7 The appetizers and pastas were absolutely delicious! This was some of the best Foie Gras I've ever had which pushed this review to 5 stars. The Cacio E Pepe was fresh and you can tell the pastas were home made. It was also cool some of the ingredients for the gnocchi special were housed from an employees local garden/farm. The main dishes lacked some seasoning and were a little lack luster compared to the Apps but would go back for those dishes for sure!!“
“The French Alpine Bistro always exceeds our expectations with its gorgeous, delicious cuisine served in a charming atmosphere. We enjoyed the fantastic foie gras, the Salade Paysanne, the Salade de Chèvre Chaud, the Saffron Sea Scallops, the Thai green curry Nirvana Crêpe, the Schokoladepalatschinke (chocolate, dulce de leche, banana and strawberry crêpe) and a lovely, crisp bottle of French Bourgogne Aligoté. We relished every bite of our meal and practically waddled out the door when we were done. Our welcoming, fun waiter, Benjamin, provided outstanding service. We felt like he was a friend by the end of our meal! FAB has been our favorite Aspen restaurant for years and I don’t see any reason that will change. Ten out of ten for the entire experience as. Merci beaucoup!“
“It is a small cute cafe in the unexpected area. Only one lady is getting order, making coffee, delivering coffee and pastry, so it will take time. Cappuccino is good. They have many kinds of pastry. Some are too dried and too crunchy. The eating area is small but at home atmosphere.“
“I’m really in awe of the atmosphere, service and warm welcome we received from the staff, specially from Danny. She immediately realized we were Spanish speakers and switched to our language making us feel welcome! The food is amazing, but the drinks… out of this world! If you go, try the Purple Haze, it’s a delicious woody creek select gyn with blackberries, pineapple and more.It was a pleasure to be there, and have Danny at the bar. This is a must if you are in Aspen!“
“The ambiance is beautiful, service was attentive. The various course were very good. The only 2 item that fell short was the rib eye special...it was fatty and not flavorful and the trout....it was dry and wasn't presented as nicely as the other dishes. At this price point everything should be 100% on the mark.I look forward to returning in the future.“
“EPIC! One of the best dining experiences of my life. My fiancé & I got engaged at the top of elk camp the morning of the 29th, earlier in the week I reached out to the alpine room to see if they could have a simple surprise like champagne waiting for us. I was absolutely blown away, when Emily, the chef, reached out to me sharing how she would love to make this experience special for us. She inquired about our food preferences, allergies, etc. We arrived & the champagne was waiting for us & what followed was absolutely incredible. One of the best dining experiences of our life. The staff, our waitress, the manager, everybody was over the top service wise & then Emily surprised us with a 3-course off menu meal. I truly mean it when I say one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We both will never forget that lunch experience we had celebrate our special day, I’m tearing up just thinking about how much we felt cared for that day by everybody at the Alpin room! Thank you & love to all who took care of us!!! Cheers, James & Steph“
“Service was quick and polite. Classy yet casual atmosphere, good for a date or family affair! German inspired menu with fondue and international classics. From excellent German to steak and seafood this place should be able to make anyone happy! We started with some adult beverages and worked our way from the house served pretzel rolls directly into apps. Escargot in a garlic butter and mushroom sauce and delicious bittersweet jam topped potato pancakes that were like lightly crisped mash potatoes . Both were on point and came out quickly . Followed by Weiner schnitzel, we tried both the pork and the chicken not that we had room. Both were excellent. Presentation of all dishes was lovely, you can taste the love and care put into these dishes. I will be back. Side post: conveniently forgot my card here and had to come back.... For seconds! Service still abounded, they went above and beyond for us! Chicken schnitzel was the clear winner ! Mussels and potato pancakes with jelly on the side for crispness. Meal was fabulous, again! Thank you“
“The food is amazing. Such unique flavors and the ambience is so peaceful. A hidden gem truly. Had brunch there for my birthday and then came back for dinner the same weekend. The staff is super friendly too. Definitely a must visit when in Aspen. Few minutes walk from the Aspen airport.“
