“Great new neighborhood spot! Food is wonderful but rather salty, cut back on the added salt-the food doesn’t need it! And it’s loud! Could barely hear myself let alone my friends. Not sure in the small space if there is anything they can do, but it’s loud. Try it though, it’s worth it and happy to have them in the neighborhood!“
“The small plates were each delicious in their own right. The artichokes were especially good. It was very easy to eat too much. The service was top notch, friendly, always available but never intrusive. I highly recommend SuperMegaBien.Vegetarian options: Almost half of the small plates were vegetarian. I wish the large plates had offered a vegetarian option, however.“
“Establishing my daughter in Denver today. We found this place in her new neighborhood and scored a win for her first lunch in her new home. She got the tika chicken tacos and I got the mushroom tacos. Loved them both. The only odd thing is that they added a 20% tip automatically for a party of two. Too bad they were so forceful, I would have tipped more.“
“The absolute best coffee shop in Denver! I ordered the Horchata Latte which was served hot in a traditional red clay mug. My beverage was smooth had a delicate body, a gentle sweetness and fruitiness, and an acidic snap to finish off the experience. There was ample, clean space to sit with friends in the courtyard right outside with chairs and tables. The shop was colorfully complimented with locally made goods, homemade Mexican pan dulce, and offered so much more than coffee. They even make atole which takes me back to my childhood! I can't wait to try everything on their menu. This is my new favorite place in Denver and will quickly become yours too!“
“Lovely cafe, peaceful and comfortable. No loud music, and the patrons weren't loud either. At least at the time I went. I was expecting most of the empanadas to be sweet. The spinach empanada was great, I will be ordering it again, and the coffee was excellent.“
“Very, very good!! Fresh, cook to order, Venezuelan style empanada. Light flaky crust, seasoned just right, and stuffed. We order a 1/2 to-go. Small, eat-in restaurant. Would different definitely go back. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE....explained all items in detail. Didn't feel rushed. Very good!“
“Ended up visiting after Nana's had a wait line down the street and I was pleasantly surprised! We had the most delicious coconut rice I've ever had, and an incredible seasonal fish dish. We sat outside and it was lovely. I recommend booking a table in advance because there is usually a wait!“
“In the hip Wash Park area of Denver. Happily drank one of the better margaritas I've ever had. Free poured, and the bartender made the second one exactly like the first. Pretty incredible.Food was mundane white washed Mexican food. Low points for that. All that being said the joint was hoppin' on a Thursday night. Valet your car cause parking anywhere near there is a pain. Besides, it's only $8!I'm going back for the atmosphere and badass margaritas.“
“Don't get me wrong: the empanadas are great. Maybe I'm too old school, but paying $5 for an empanada (delicious as they are!) was a little much. The food is excellent, but you have to pay $20+ to have a "meal." If money is no issue, this is a great place. You're just not going to get good value.“
“We found another restaurant with a very solid and unique menuDefinitely get the specials. The snapper ceviche special was actually one of the mildest I’ve ever had because of the coconut milk infused into the lime juice. The snapper was perfectly succulent. Get the grilled manchego, which encompasses the best comforting parts of a grilled cheese. This place definitely knows how to cook its Tiger prawns. We got the salad with crab lumps and tiger prawns. It’s simple but also quite delicious? There’s no dressing but the seafood was the dressing. It was weirdly fulfilling. We loved the salmon special. The fish was perfectly cooked but the spice rub/crust? combined with the very light spinach cream emulsion made for a very delicious bite.I’m so glad Denver has a place like this. The price point is a tad high but for a menu full of seafood in a land locked state, I kinda get it? Plus the food isn’t strictly Brazilian but… pan-South American fusion? But yeah we shall be back to try some more daily specials!“
“WOW — A true taste of Oaxaca in downtown Denver! Zocalito blends the exceptional flavors of one of Mexico's most renowned foodie destinations into contemporary and approachable fare. As a traveler to Oaxaca, I was surprised to see the authentic spices and flavors of the region on full display here. Do not miss the calamari kale salad or the ceviche to start. Brb—drooling. Oh, and the drinks? Rico cocktails with a killer menu of mezcal and tequila. The chef and front-of-house staff bring the place to life with lots of love and care for your experience. This place has it all — Alebrijes from Oaxaca color the space with culture in this modernly-appointed restaurant that excites the senses. Expect high-end dining with zero attitude. Can't wait to come back!!! <3“
“This is now my favorite taco in Denver. I go here at least once a week for lunch. The barbacoa, al pastor, bistec.....anything you choose will be amazing. It's also super quick and the prices are amazing. I can't think of another place where you can get a fully stuffed street taco for $3.....I usually only need two for lunch.“
“New management in the last 18 months has returned this place to one of my favorites on Pearl Street. Everything is yummy that I've ordered. They have always been accomdating when I brought vegans, even making quick vegan dishes once or twice. The staff is so sweet. The chicken enchiladas are great for a quick, relatively inexpensive meal.“
“I have only been living in Colorado for 5 months, but this was the best experience I have had going out. The staff was amazing, engaging, and beyond friendly. The food was top-notch, and the atmosphere was fun. I will definitely be going back...again and again. ❤️“
