We ordered the Bulgogi and the Lamb burger and both were delicious. The Bulgogi was our waiters recommendation and it did not disappoint. Atmosphere was great and we did not wait at all for our table.

I don't think I've ever been treated so rudely at a restaurant downtown. Brought my boyfriend here last night to try and cheer him up after a bad day. A soon as we walked in the hostess loudly commented on the fact he seemed upset (he'd been crying) which made him feel even more self conscious than he already was.. then we were seated and only given an appetizer menu, I thought it was odd but didnt immediately think too deep into it. Come to find out from our server the hostess told him not to bring us drink menus because she thought we were already under the influence! We were both completely sober, hadn't shown any signs of impairment and I had to prove my sobriety to my waiter! The only thing I could think is because my boyfriend was upset maybe they thought we'd been drinking already??? Idk what went through their minds, but pretty awful to assume that.THEN we're told the kitchen only serves appetizers after 9:30... If that's the case then why doesn't it say so on your website? We were there at 10:00pm and your website says you serve dinner till 11pm.All I wanted was to take my boyfriend out to cheer him up. He'd never even been to your restaurant before. Your staff completely ruined his experience and have me second guessing ever coming back...Spent $62 on 2 drinks, 2 appetizers and plenty of rude looks from your staff. As fellow service employees we were appalled.

El Moro's service ruined some great food and atmosphere, we got sat right away for brunch - got stuck waiting for almost 25 minutes for anyone to get our drink and food order. Someone who wasn't our server finally took our order, however, our assigned server forgot our drinks so it took about another 20 minutes and a reminder lol. We ended up getting held up just trying to pay. Ended up pulling together the cash we had because we were sick of waiting.

Ask about the Sherriff and the MarshallEl Moro was recommended to me by the front desk at the Stater Hotel. Typically, I'm skeptical of these recommendations but it was a wonderful evening to stroll up Main street and I soon found myself at the bar of El Moro. The service could not have been better! My glass was kept full of a wonderful liberation (try their twist on a Manhattan, amazing. For me the apple beet salad was unusual and delighted. The dressing is thick and smeared around the inside of the bowl (trust me on this one) and allows you to get just the right amount. The NY strip was fine, nothing that I would seek out again. But the people, so kind, so full of a unique place (check out the food grater lamps around the bar.)Oh, and don't forget to ask your server about the Marshall and the Sheriff.

I stumbled across El Moro nearly 4 years ago on a brief overnight in Durango. The food and especially service, thanks to Thomas Wallace was so good that I knew I would be back one day. Thomas spent hours teaching me about spirits and introducing me to new cocktails. He even shared the history about many of the spirits. His passion and skill were top tier!Fast forward to now, an unfortunately Thomas is not presently working at El Moro, but I was fortunate enough to have stayed in touch with him. He connected me with the GM, Mandi and together the two of them helped make my engagement day an unforgettable experience. The food, cocktails and service remain amongst the best I’ve ever experienced. This place will be a staple for us every time we visit Durango!Thank Thomas, Mandi, Paco, Ralph, Greg, Conner and Emerson for your hospitality and incredible service!

Seems to be slipping a bit. The prices have gone up but the quality has gone down. They have taken some smaller plate items off the menu that were good. The bar and the atmosphere of this place are awesome, it's good for a cocktail and appetizer but the dinner menu and service are not worth the money. Disappointed with our most recent experience here for dinner.

Enjoyed our brunch! Great and knowledgeable staff. They have a delicious and appealing food and bar menu for every part of the day. Clean and accessible dining space. We will be returning and recommending. Not recommended for large parties as the restaurant doesn't have the layout to accommodate.

Hi guys. When there is a real valid problem with a customers food order, don't ignore them after you ask to have it corrected. Just take care of it happily. I wasn't mad or impolite. Even said please.
