I've been here a few times. The music is nice and often has live DJs, but the layout is terrible and facility dirty (and located a used condom on the dance floor, see attached). In addition, the prices are higher than area competitors, and the service is consistently poor and slow.Tonight, I ordered a cocktail with Sprite but got just water. Brought to bartender's attention, and she denied the mistake. Told her it might just be out. She tried the Sprite and told me it's fine but not carbonated (so not fine). Asked for a cup of the not carbonated Sprite to mix myself (still better than just water) but was shrugged off (while looking annoyed) and she began threatening to kick a different patron out because she did not tip instead.Anyhow, if crowded, recommend elsewhere. Otherwise, enjoy this classy joint. Didn't try any food.

Four 50-somethings from Louisiana came in for one drink with me while we waited for a dinner table next door. Open mic night for amateur comedians started before we got the drinks. Drinks finally came when text arrived that table was ready so we walked next door with the drinks (well, just two of us did). This is totally normal in New Orleans!! The very rude bartender accosted my friend on the way out. He didn't explain the rules; he grabbed a 59 year old woman and pushed her out the bar! These women were guests of ours in our Durango condo. I am so embarrassed by this treatment. We will advise all of our guests and renters against the Starlight Lounge. Awful service. Unfunny comedians.
