“Empanadas are a great treat, how can you go wrong with a delicious flaky pastry filled with flavorful ingredients? I had seen Lazo's many times in the Cherry Hills shopping center and my timing was always off, but today it was dinner time and I was hungry. Their selection of fillings is robust and you will be able to find something that is a good match for you. The first one I tried was the Chicken Caprese based on the staff's recommendation. They were right on with this choice and the filling was delicious with chicken, cheese, tomatoes, and some herbs. The empanadas are cooked to order, so it comes out and it tantalizing hot. You want to bite into it so badly, but you have to ease yourself into it so you do not burn your mouth. My second choice was the spinach and cheese empanada which was good, but not quite as delicious as the chicken caprese. Lazo's is a great place to come and enjoy a meal. You can choose exactly how much food you want and order exactly what you want. The staff was kind, cheerful helpful, providing information about the different fillings. I look forward to coming back and trying the other options available.“

“The absolute best coffee shop in Denver! I ordered the Horchata Latte which was served hot in a traditional red clay mug. My beverage was smooth had a delicate body, a gentle sweetness and fruitiness, and an acidic snap to finish off the experience. There was ample, clean space to sit with friends in the courtyard right outside with chairs and tables. The shop was colorfully complimented with locally made goods, homemade Mexican pan dulce, and offered so much more than coffee. They even make atole which takes me back to my childhood! I can't wait to try everything on their menu. This is my new favorite place in Denver and will quickly become yours too!“

“AMAZING happy hour. All the drinks and appetizers were great and at excellent prices and the atmosphere of the place was fun. I will happily be back for that. The enchiladas were inedible, definitely order something else. The person I was with liked their tacos though! The service was okay. It took a while for the waiter to come get drinks/appetizer orders, and then it was another long wait before he came back for our entree orders, but once the orders were in everything came out quickly.“

“Don't get me wrong: the empanadas are great. Maybe I'm too old school, but paying $5 for an empanada (delicious as they are!) was a little much. The food is excellent, but you have to pay $20+ to have a "meal." If money is no issue, this is a great place. You're just not going to get good value.“

“The guy there was super helpful! That was my first time and he helped me decide what to get. It was delicious and the place was so cute and clean!Parking: It’s by a hotel. So you can park in the hotel garage if you’re going to be around the mall for the day. Or street parking is easy and maybe 40-50 steps away from the street.Wheelchair accessibility: It’s right on the corner of the 16th street mall. The doors are wide and is a sliding door that the guy can open for you from inside if needed. Easy to get in and out. Spacious. And no stairs.“

“To start off, this place is beautifully decorated. It is described as elevated Mexican food and that’s exactly what it was! They had a live band playing and they were amazing. Their spicy marg was great and we had the tacos dorados, calamari, elote and pozole. Everything was extremely flavorful and their pozole was one of the best I’ve had out here, highly recommend. Will def be going back and trying other options. Thanks for a fun and delicious dinner!“

“This was my first time eating here after attending a show nearby. The food was okay. I ordered 3 empanadas 2 with chicken, one with beef. Honestly they taste pretty similar and were edible. Older man who took my order wasn't very friendly but was pleasant and did a see my questions and the fillings. I sum it up to it perhaps being a long day as it was rather late in the evening. I also ordered the cre'me brûlée. It was presented beautifully in a cute little glass cup with a to go top and tasted wonderful. If in the area I would probably go back.“
