“Found in an old train station and has a neat vibe. You can play darts and giant connect 4 and just hang out and drink beer. The Fruit Snack and Lazy Hazy were our favourites. We’d go back if we were in the area.”
“Awesome affordable scratch kitchen with a diverse menu and fun specials. Greatly appreciated the numerous gluten free options!Dietary restrictions: Had multiple gluten free appetizers and main dinner dishes!”
“The food is exactly what you want and expect, it always looks great and tastes even better! The prices are reasonable and the employees are all friendly. There is a VEGAN BURGER that is so amazing! Thank you so so much to whoever put that on the menu! Please keep it - it is ridiculously good!”
“Just placed my first of many orders. I just started working in the area and working 3rd shift in a town you're unfamiliar can complicate finding decent food.I want to thank Ashley for being so helpful to my wife on the phone and taking the time to coordinate delivery. I look forward to enjoying my dinner tonight during my break.Thank you Ashley!”
“Hands down the best pizza in the area. The people are kind. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. We have never had a bad dish or bad experience.Parking: Ample parking in front and all around the building”
“A little expensive but not unreasonable. We frequently go here for our Chinese take-outParking: Spots for parking are in front but can make it difficult to leave. You have to back onto route 44.”
“Damn good burgers and wings, great vibes, friendly/attentive staff - what more could you ask for? Industry is a great little hidden gem; whether you’re looking for some quality drinks or good eats, or a little of both - stop in. You won’t be disappointed.”
“We have finally found a good restaurant in the area. I was surprised that the place wasn't completely full. The food was so fresh and beautifully prepared. We will definitely go back.”
“Lovely diner, kind welcoming service. If you're looking for a good homestyle meal with friendly people, this is the place to go. Small town diner at it's best.”
“Perfect small town place. We are always greeted and the owner always asks how we are doing. The blueberry pancakes, Baja chicken wrap and hamburgers are my favorites.”
“The fricken best. Hands down. Owners an OG from the Gambino neighborhood. Marinara sauce takes 10 hrs to make and uses organic san marzanos. These guys know what's up. I come out here once a year for a race at limerock and Deanos is always a stop on the way out. Gentleman this is the guy from Rochester who asked for whatever marinara sauce you could part with and told you he didn't care what it cost.So we always order calzones and guys......I gotta say......this fricken meat baby you put together for me was next level alright? From the quality of the rocioitta to the beautiful mozz that was stuffed inside this perfect dough baby. Look a chicken pepp and spinach calzone is not supposed to taste this good. Especially for $12 come on..and the homemade sauce on top of that? I'm talking we got tomato seeds, fresh basil (which is sweet as all hell, just beautiful basil) onions that you know have been sweating for a minute. Next time im down that way I'm gonna have to call in a gallon order of that sauce.Long story short. Good people. Good pies. Good calzones. Damn good ingredients and it shows. You guys get it. God bless and keep doing you guys.”
“Staff are attentive and detail oriented. From the New England clam chowder, to the entrees, to the brûlée, to the apple crisp, and chocolate martini, delicious, light, decadent, and flavorful. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy.”
“Started off with the calamari, which was heavily battered but the calamari was tender and they had a lemony tarter sauce to dip it in. I had an everything burger which was charred grilled and delicious with sweet potato fries, and my wife had the quiche with a garden salad that she enjoyed immensely.”
“One of my most favorite places- the meats, pate’s and sandwiches are just so mouth watering incredible. Been frequenting this establishment for a very long time; I’ve ordered gifts and have gotten our holiday hams from ”
“Exceptional quality baked goods. This has become a weekly staple in our home. We look forward to seeing the daily specials and enjoy bonding over the deliciousness! Thank you Blue Gate!!”
“What a WONDERFUL little throw-back of a diner! The servers are absolutely charming (thank you to the beautiful, jewelry-making Christina), pricing is circa 1995, there's a great children's menu -- and there is clearly some skill in this kitchen, generally. I love that you get unlimited refills on coffee ($2), which was actually quite decent by diner standards. Where else can you find that nowadays?! Eggs were well prepared and fluffy across the board. I loved that my veggie omelet ($8.75) came generously filled with sauteed mushrooms, sweet peppers, and onions. It came with toast and a side of either fruit or home fries. The multigrain, which our server disclosed was from a bakery in NY, was fresh, well slathered with butter, and far better than it had to be as a non-headline component of the meal. Home fries were beautifully seasoned, though I do prefer mine a little more browned. Fruit salad on our visit included a slice of melon, a few grapes and a slice of orange. Our eight year old got a children's meal with one egg, home fries, toast and juice ($4.50). She enjoyed her fluffy scrambled eggs, which she ate sandwiched between two halves of a generously buttered English muffin. My only nitpick: You could taste a touch of margarine in the eggs, which I personally detest. Still, the food was head and shoulders better than (and half as expensive as) anything you can find at Mohawk Mountain, where we are usually resigned to grub. We are so, so thrilled to find this sweet little place a hop and a skip away from the mountain. It's a perfect place to refuel after early morning ski practice!”
“Goshen Pizza is a hidden gem! Easily, the best thin-crust pizza I've ever had, and their garlic knots are to die for! I remember the first time I went there when they had just opened, and they sure have come a long way with the renovations and additional seating area! Resmi, the owner, is a really nice guy, and his staff is excellent!”
“I love coming here. It’s a great place to get a quick sandwich and the milkshakes are amazing. I come here with my friends for lunch almost every day during the summer”
“Excellent all around. We started off with local beer on tap and a plate of aranci. Chicken trombette and steak neo with afresh greens and balsam side salad were perfect. Finished with an espresso and ordered a hot cheese pie to go. Cozy, clean environment. Staff went out of their way to make us feel at home. Quality of food and quantity of food was very reasonable. Full belly, Happy heart.”
“Super cute place! Very clean! The bartender was awesome.. I forget his name.. but he only works on Thursday’s! Great selection of beers and ciders.. I opted for flights so I could try everything! Outside they have comfy rocking chairs on the porch. There’s cards and different games…”
“What a lovely family farm shop. The owner Theresa and her daughter Rachael took time to talk about the farm and made recommendations of other area farms we should visit. They have local meat and cheese, yummy cookies and pies and scones. The scones tasted (almost) just like mine, not dry at all. They also have a large selection of cute gift items. They make cool seed starter pots from cow manure to help reduce the amount of plastic that goes into the landfill and make use of something most farmers get rid of. This place is totally worth a visit!”
“We love to stop at the Boathouse for a nice Sunday lunch on the patio. We usually have our little dog, Bo with us, and it's of nice that they allow dogs on the patio for lunch. We stopped there this past Sunday, and the staff was wonderful, and very accommodating to us and Bo! Thank you, we enjoyed our lunch. The food and service is always great.”
“I’m hesitant to say how much I adore this place, the staff and, of course, the food. The reason for my reluctance is fear it will become a hot spot, thus ruining the best kept Berkshire secret. Relocation to the Berks when Covid hit in 2020, led me to Southfield when I googled restaurants in the area. I put it on my “must go” list. From the moment I entered, I knew it would be a favorite. Fantastic sandwiches such as The Favorite which is composed of tomato, mozzarella and basil panini actually became my favorite; until I ordered a BLT. Making my way through the menu, (not in the same day!!!) a Reuben called me by name. Delicious. Hit the spot. I could not finish the sandwich. Every item is fresh fresh fresh! Tuna melt? Oh yes! Fantastic. Again, could not finish it. Egg salad is divine. Abby prepared it right there. Every sandwich is above any preconceived expectation, whether or not you see yourself a food snob. (I’m definitely one)!! The in house bakery, which also bakes for the In on the Green, turns out the very best. I’ve had great Linzer cookies in my life. Theirs are rivaled by no one, even Paris! Blueberry muffins, Grandma’s chocolate cake will have you looking for her in the kitchen. Brunch should be experienced by anyone who enjoys a relaxing weekend with family and a fantastic breakfast. French toast is noteworthy as they use house made challah. Try it. Eggs, bacon, sausage, all the breakfast items we love are prepared to perfection. Muffins, scones, cinnamon buns, pound cakes, all baked in the kitchen. The list of everything I’ve tried and loved is too lengthy for me to explain how wonderful everything is. You must try them yourself. Now the staff. Wonderful group who are happy and welcoming. They know their jobs and remain personable even on the busy, oh so popular weekends. Hard working, yet they manage to keep the restaurant clean. Alex who manages Southfield is very attentive and knows his job well. This is one well oiled machine. I think it’s rare when employees highly respect their employers and the employer highly respects them. It’s a obvious this is the case at Southfield. They enjoy going to work! Alex is the son of the owners of Inn on the Green up the road, which is another must go! Sadly, I had to vacate the Berkshires. I am presently an hour and forty minutes away yet I make a point to go back frequently. Yes. It’s THAT good! PS: kid friendly!”
“The vibe was great in here, I went super early so no one was there yet. The staff was very friendly and my breakfast sandwich’s and iced coffee were delicious.”
“Sweet William's offers the best lattes in the area, and some really remarkable baked goods--I don't think I've had anything that has been less than stellar, from their cinnamon rolls (which are deliciously sort of like a biscuit dough in cinnamon roll form?), to their cookies (the molasses ginger cookie is a particular winner), to their cakes (the orange olive oil cake was a revelation!), to their pies (the strawberry rhubarb crisp was phenomenal). It's expensive, even by the standards of the area (a 16 oz. latte costs more than 24 oz ones at a lot of places) but the quality is worth it. Tiny, but with a lovely little outdoor space as well as some seating in the back. Highly recommend it!”
“The food was exceptionally delicious, and the experience was very pleasant. You don't get a menu, you eat what the chef brings out. We had six courses. Officially it was five, the amuse bouche was substantial like an appetizer. Wasabi ice cream that was part of the amuse bouche started out the dinner with a bang. I really enjoyed it. It was followed by soup. Then a chicken dish, then a seafood dish, then a beef dish. Each one was excellent with interesting sides and sauces. Then coffee and dessert. The dinner lasted three hours. $140 per person. Plenty of free parking in the front.”
“The waitstaff was attentive and knowledgeable. They were able to accommodate a large party with complicated orders. Cannot recommend this place enough for a special occasion with friends and family.”
“Came here after a hike. Nachos were especially delicious. They had a cheese sauce on them. Wicked good. Chimichangas were delicious too. Had a couple beers. Great spot.”
“We always enjoy coming to this restaurant, for its historical atmosphere and delicious food. We were there over the weekend, and asked for a special table for our family who was there from out of town, and they had it waiting for us when we arrived. Thank you!”

“The food here is very good. Ate here for the first time for brunch on my birthday. Everything I ate was extremely fresh and flavorful. The dressing for the house salad was very good, the chicken tacos were some of the best I’ve had, but weren’t that hot when they came out, and omlettes and home fries are very good too. Only complaint I had was regarding the service. I can tell the service is generally good, but it seems like maybe I got unlucky. Our food was taking very long and we expected the salad and tacos to come out first since they were appetizers, but they did not. We were also brought the wrong omlettes initially so they had to be remade. Our waitress was still very nice, though, and our experience was good overall.”
