“Customer service was great but girl at drive thru did not speak English very well. I felt bad for her,it must be very difficult to do that job like that. That's the only reason I took one star away. Oh and the prices have sky rocketed!!! That's terrible a medium fry for $3.99! Wth!?!? I'm shocked and appalled at the prices and my medium shake looked like the size of a happy meal drink used to be! I'm totally disgusted! The kid at the other window made us laugh,even though he forgot our straws and sauces. Also the girl who brought out our food apologized for the wait which I was satisfied with. A smile and kind words go a long way! Food was also fresh.Parking: Parking available on both sides of the building.“
“My experience was splendid. The employee was awesome and helped guide me though my way through my subway experience. She is definitely an artist…. I believe her name was Amber, give her a raise!!!!! Would recommend and will be going back again, the dining room was also clean!!“
“The manager David is amazing. He makes everyone feel like they're his only customer no matter how busy they are. He's friendly, funny, smart And obviously is a great manager as the staff is very efficient and friendly as well. It's a pleasure to go there.“
“I have eaten at this DQ since I can remember. It is just down from the college (Eastern Connecticut University) and quite popular with the college crowd as well as all the team sportsters who stop by to get a bite after a game. I do love the Blizzrds- but they seem to stick to me and I've been a cone small -onl y for a while here. The staff is well trained, friendly and quick at their jobs. A friend of mine was visiting from mid NewHampshire and as we approached he said this will be hours -- I usually give r up---- but he was amazed at the quick and accurate service. Kudos to a well run operation“
“Staff is usually very good, which is saying a lot because they hire a lot of high school and college kids at this location. The managers here are helpful, knowledgeable, and respectful. Janco's Burger King trains their employees and takes care of them, and it shows. Walk next door to McDonald's and you'll see a huge difference in that regard. This particular Burger King wins out, easily.The food is rarely made incorrectly and, when it is, it is typically corrected promptly. If they mess up really bad they sometimes will give you fries while you wait or even a discount, which is respectable and considerate. However, staff isn't always very knowledgeable, no matter how chill or pleasant they might be. Some questions often have to be deferred to management, some of which are also no the most knowledgeable. They could do with a little more focused training in terms of their menu items. But it's not a dealbreaker.The food is good, obviously, since it's BK. This particular location, the food isn't quite as good as a corporate location, in terms of quality, as corporate locations do rigorous training and high extremely high standards that actually lead to high turnover rates and unpleasant experiences for employees, so it is a tradeoff. That's not to say this location's quality is bad, it's still a 4 out of 5.The major drawback with this location is the atmosphere. The place needs a lot of repairs. It's a very old building, older than I am! I'm surprised it is still standing.The kitchen floors, you can see from the counter, are always a disaster. They would benefit from encouraging their employees to sweep up after themselves in their downtime, maybe wipe stuff down in between rushes... it's not the end of the world but it would go a long way toward making the place more comfortable and pleasant.Wait times are reasonable. They also have a really high tech soda fountain and it's quite impressive.The music is never too loud, and you can always ask them to turn it down of you have sensory sensitivities, as the manager has access to it and is reasonable.Definitely a family place and the dining room is usually reasonably clean. It's never packed, either, as most of their business is in drive thru.Overall, this Janco's Burger King is pretty solid and I prefer it over many corporate BKs I've been to. I also know for a fact that the Janco corporation does take care of their employees, which is another reason to patronage them over places such as McDonald's, who absolutely does not. Great place to have a sit down meal at. Would recommend dining in, rather than drive thru. Worth a visit.“
“I work in the area close to Nutmegz and have become very friendly with the people who work there! They know exactly what I want whenever I order! They did have a rocky start, but since they have reopened they have stepped up their game! I get great service in a timely manner with a smile. Everything is made from scratch, you can tell its home-cooked food, it's not often you find food like that anymore as everything is processed for convenience.Breakfast sandwiches and burgers and fries are my go-to and they haven't disappointed me yetThe apple snickerdoodles are so soft and delicious, they get an honorable mention at the end here.Please try for yourself!“
“I have to say that we were highly impressed by the service of the gal Jessie that was working today!We had guests at church earlier and ended up deciding to do an impromptu takeout order for 9 people. Jessie was working alone. She was evidently the only staff there but worked so quickly like there were two people working. Between our large order and taking and making online orders, she was such a professional and pleasant besides!We'd say to give that gal a raise!Also the food was great !So thank you to Jessie for doing such a great job!“

My recent encounter with Mark has shown me that despite working in the most gruesome and descipable industry, he is able to put his feelings aside and make a change in our world. “Harry's Place has long been a Colchester stable for many decades (1925). It's even identified in Martin Podskoch's "Connecticut 169 Club" book, touring Connecticut's well-known favorites.It holds a special place in my heart as I've been participating in an annual gathering at Harry's for several years. Not only is the food and service spectacular (no... I mean REALLY spectacular!), Harry's Place helps prepare me for Spring and my 'to-do list' mindset with the help of gathering with old and new friends. We sit on one of the many available picnic tables or upon blankets on the spacious grounds with pockets of flower gardens to look at. I use this eatery as my starting point for another year's race for time and activities.
