“My hairdresser only eats from here I tried it about : weeks ago early part of December and was very happy with the food and service, I also was given a calendar for 2024. I believed I had wings before when my hairdresser ordered but not an entire meal. It was enough to eat all at once if I wanted to but I broke it up and taste was still there the next day. Ordered the shrimp and broccoli and nice size shrimp. I was very impressed I am impressed and definitely will recommend to try and I will go back. The ambiance not bad it's small inside not big seating area but they okay I would take out anyway, it'd clean“
“Best Chinese food in New England without doubt. Grew up coming her from when they opened and have never stopped, even regularly bringing their food back to Boston on visits. So happy this family is still succeeding and cannot speak highly enough about them!“
“Goat service… goat food….. the fried rice and chicken wings is a good portion for what your paying for and they are always consistent with the food… it’s not like other places where other days it taste good and other days it taste bad…. This place is always honest with the food when you try it with the first time that’s how it gonna stay… and the food is BANGINGGGGGGG“
“Best Chinese around, hands down. I live in Westville and I drive 40 minutes round trip to get it. They use fresh ingredients, it reminds me of the good ones in NYC. They are always busy, but they always have the food ready to go when I arrive.Parking: Although it's only street parking, they get people in/out quickly so I've never had a problem finding parking.“
“Excellent food. Tastes like it's made with a lot of care and love. My daughter moved her boba. Said it might have been the best she'd ever had. Gyoza was very good. Ramen was good, not quite what we were expecting though. Golden hot was the best.“
“First time ordering here and this is my new spot!! Food was delicious, not oily, or salty which is hard to find in the New Haven area also the chicken did NOT have weird chewy texture which I find at most Chinese restaurants. Hidden Jem for sure!!! My new spot!!“
“Did not plan to eat at Chef Jiang's but I'm so glad we did! Personally, my favorite dine-in Chinese restaurant. The hot pot was absolutely delicious. Great vegan options for me and meat options for my husband. Will definitely be back“
“I started frequenting this place in 2000 when I was an undergrad down the street. 23 years later, it is still my favorite Chineese food in the state. Chicken is always all white meat and always great. Just wish they opened earlier in the day.“
“Friendly customer service and good pricing. I ordered sesame chicken, eggrolls and dumplings. All taste great and good portion sizes. Yesterday was my first time getting food from there based on other positive reviews. Definitely my new go to Chinese food restaurant. No inside seating options, takeout only, parking easily available.“
“I saw this place in East Haven ai was out for a bike ride. I’ve been craving Chinese food and haven’t found my go to spot yet. I ordered shrimp in lobster sauce and tofu with mixed vegetables. Both came with rice, and my total was about $28. There’s enough food for three or four meals. I’d definitely go back! My only complaint is that they don’t deliver to my area, but none of the Chinese places nearby seem to Vegetarian options: They have tofu and brown rice instead of fried rice with egg. I agree with someone else’s review here. The rice is not very good, but the main dishes I had are!“
