“Not only are the shakes delicious, (Cinnamon Toast anyone??) Stephanie and her team are incredibly friendly and caring. They take the time to get to know you and are so warm and welcoming. The place is cute and clean, a great place to take a work from home lunch :) I’ve been many times and will definitely be back.“

“The food is amazing and authentic, the prices are really low, and the service is excellent. The problem is that people don't know where this place is, are threatened by the "20 minute parking only - cars will be towed" signs, and confused by the dingy looks of the outside of the building. I'll admit, I drove by it for years, thinking it was abandoned, or only open at night, as a bar. But it is open for lunch daily, and with $9.99 double platters of Poll Apanado (Breaded Chicken) complete with pico de gallo salad, fried plantains, plantain chips, rice, and beans, this place is somewhere not to be missed. I ate there today with family, based on a recommendation from another family member, and I must admit...I want to go eat there again tomorrow. For drinks, try any of their Lechidos (Milkshakes). I ordered the Tomato de Arbol, and it was 3 times as big as I thought it would be - it was served in a beer pitcher(!) and tasted like I was back in Ecuador. Don't miss the best little restaurant in the New Haven area. Just try to score a parking space in the back, or check on your car, if you take the signs seriously.“

“Had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was in New Haven because this restaurant stepped right out of Manhattan. Each dish we enjoyed was recommended by our sever as was the fabulous wine too. The chef introduced himself before seating and checked with us just as our larger plate arrived. He added very much to the overall ambiance.“

Jonathan went above and beyond by opening up early for my surprise wedding shower, and it turned out to be an unforgettable brunch experience. Coming from St. Pete, Florida, I'm all about supporting local businesses, and Gray Goat Farmtique exceeded my expectations.The food was absolutely phenomenal, and I'm pretty sure everyone left with a cute item from their store—it's hard not to with such a lovely selection. Plus, they offer makers classes where you can learn to make bread, candles, and even attend tastings. How cool is that?A huge thank you to Gray Goat Farmtique for hosting such a wonderful shower. “Quality of coffee: 4 - good espresso drinks. I've tried them a couple dozen times and they have become more consistent this past year or so. There are flavoring options like hazelnut etc. Coffee (black) is slightly above average. Atmosphere: 4.5 - great seating areas and nooks in a historic hotel. Usually, students are studying at the various tables. Location: 5 - heart of downtown within walking distance to hundreds of restaurants and great bus/train service. Service: 5 - helpful staffValue: 4 - decent pricing Average: 4.5I can't recommend food options, as I've only had coffee here.“

“A M A Z I N G!!! The food is absolutely delicious. My husband and I were down this was running errands. I decided to look on yelp and see what's good and what would peak my interest. I love a good empanada. Very small quaint place. No inside seating but on a nice day there was a couple tables outside. I ordered white rice and beans for my husband, who is super finicky. I ordered one shrimp and one chicken empanada, pernil on a roll and mango cheesecake. Delicious! My husband said it's the best rice and beans he's had in a long time. Empanadas full of flavor. I actually don't really love pernil because people cook it so dry. This pernil was so flavorful, moist and juicy. Delicious. The mango cheesecake was just the right sweetness. The sandwich I gave half to my husband so I'd have room for the cheesecake. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Food took about 7 minutes to prepare. If you're in the 5 highly recommend trying it out.“

“Nice place for a morning. Great food, good service, good atmosphere. I ordered a hot chocolate (not a coffee guy), a Belgium waffle, and a side of bacon. All of that food was amazing and I highly recommend this place if you're bored and hungry in the morning! Good cafe!“

“I use to live in the neighborhood a few years back and this is the only bar I liked. I moved away 6 years ago but still go back there to eat whenever I'm in town. The drinks and food are great. The chef is not always there so call before you go if you want bar food. The Cheese fries with bacon are my fave. Bang for your buck :) Friendly staff.“
