“Loved the sourdough pretzels, made just right: not too salty but also not too sweet either. Good cleanliness measures too, been here both before and most recently, during the pandemic. The people working here are always very clean, use good sanitation measure.s Enjoy eating here whenever shopping“

“Moving from NYC we had concerns of locking down a bagel spot that would live up to our standards - this little hidden gem was the best find. Incredible selection of classic and specialty bagels, always fresh. Breakfast sandwiches are always done perfectly and the croissants are insanely delicious as well!! Super charming area in the back to sit down with the family. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!“

“As a personal trainer and health conscious I absolutely love this place. It’s. Nice treat right after a killer workout ?️. The cupcakes and mini donuts are out of this world. Wish you had. Place in Wethersfield or newington as I am transferring to healthtrax in newington ?Thank you to cupcake fairy for introducing your cupcakes ? I hardly have sweets, so when I do, I look forward to your cupcakes “
“5/5 on taste and looks this was really good!!! Things that I think can improve would be adding drinks like a milk choice. I think having food products you need drinks. And also the forks are really cheap and when the cakes are cold the fork given bends. I think this can be changed and doesn't change that the taste is amazing“

“The first time we tried to go there, everything was sold out, so they closed early. The second time, I made sure to order ahead prior to pick up. The place was so cute with a sit in area that had your typical cafe vibes. I was surprised there were items left when I went to pick up my order the next morning (Friday) at 11 am. Everything in the showcase looked mouthwatering. I admittedly plan to try everything haha. They sell French and southern inspired pastries. The story of their family immigrating from Laos to the US was similar to my family from Cambodia. It's inspiring to see them become successful! The prices were high but the products were quality; I think it's worth it.I ordered an iced chai latte to go as well; this drink was good. I'm looking forward to trying their hand crafted lemonades next time. The showstoppers were the pastries. I ordered the cinnamon rolls, chocolate croissant, Southern sticky pecan buns, and egg in a hole. The egg in the hole was amazing. I was only planning to take a bite since I already ate my lunch. I couldn't stop and ended up finishing it. It has egg, cheese, chives, and chopped ham/bacon in a croissant. The sticky pecan bun was buttery and sweet; the candied pecans had a sugary crunch to it; the most amazing sticky bun I've ever tasted. My husband had the cinnamon bun and said 10/10. Pro tip: put in microwave for 5-10 seconds, even better. In conclusion, I will be back sooner rather than later!“

“I recently enjoyed an exceptional dining experience at Aurora’s restaurant, where I had one of the best vegetable omelettes ever. The omelette, filled with fresh, and seasoned to perfection, offered a symphony of flavors and textures that stood out remarkably. The cozy ambiance and the attentive service enhanced the meal, making it not just delicious but also genuinely pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for expertly crafted breakfast dishes, especially their unforgettable vegetable omelette.“

“We chanced The Coffee Spot for the first time on a Sunday morning. What a delightful, if busy, choice. So many positives: delicious food--we had a wrap and an egg sandwich and 2 muffins--blueberry and caramel--YUM. There was a pleasant guitarist/singer, and we did find a table--actually 2 comfy chairs with a side table between. Most likely the place isn't as hoppin' on other days, but the entertainment and crowd added a nice vibe. We were served after ordering at the counter, and no one needed a pager or some other elaborate finder system. They just do the job and it was a lot of fun. We were thrilled that The Coffee Spot does NOT use Canola oil. Not a big fan of corn oil, which is what they say they use, but way better than having Round Up and Hexane residues in our food with Canola.“

“The quintessential Little Poland market. Baked goods, hot prepared food (I like bigos/hunters stew) and chicken with mushrooms. There is a bread with poppyseeds that I get too. It's always a part of the holidays for our Polish- Filipino family. You won't regret shopping at Roly Poly.“

“????? Celebrating our daughter Gigi’s birthday, my wife and I ventured to Pop Over Eatery in Simsbury, CT, for a breakfast that was beyond our wildest dreams. As a professional chef, I was thrilled to discover a popover (also known as Yorkshire pudding) on the menu—a rare find that instantly caught my attention. The food was nothing short of fantastic, each dish prepared with such care and flavor that left us wanting more. From the sumptuous Belgian waffle to the variety of vegan options, every bite was a delight. What made our visit even more special was Sarah, the owner, who personally came over to ensure we were enjoying our meal, adding a touch of warmth and hospitality that truly made us feel at home. Pop Over Eatery is a gem in Simsbury, offering not just incredible food but also a welcoming atmosphere where every guest is treated like family. I wholeheartedly recommend this eatery to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. Hats off to Sarah and her team for making our daughter’s birthday breakfast unforgettable! ???“

“Having explored numerous Italian bakeries and pastry shops, I can confidently say that this particular establishment stands out. I have been coming here for many years and always return for more. From the moment you step through the door, the service is exceptional, with staff eager to assist you in any way possible. The abundance of delectable desserts and pastries is simply staggering, presenting a delightful challenge in choosing just one. While each treat beckons with its own unique allure, the cannoli's reign supreme, their impeccable taste and texture a testament to the bakery's unwavering commitment to quality. Yet, it's not just the cannoli's that leave a wonderful impression; the sfogliatelle and tiramisu also hold a special place in my culinary dreams. Every visit to Chimirri's promises an unforgettable journey.“

“I really love this little bakery. I was in a bind and needed a cake within two days and every other place that I contacted said they could not do what I needed. For reference it was a white cake, with a picture of Ronald McDonald on it with a raked texture and matching frame. So in my opinion it was a cake that was not complex, but for some reason the large grocery stores refused me. When I went in to Nonnie’s , everyone was so warm and kind. They were personable and became really invested in my silly McDonald's Birthday Cake Debacle. The cake was loved by all that ate it. Very light, but fulfilling. I would recommend anyone who needs baking done, to take a visit to Nonnie’s. They treat you like family , their prices are VERY fair and I will definitely return again.? also there Italian cookies next level good! I plan to grab some more in a couple days.?“

“This place was on my list to check out since moving here. Pastry chef Kim Wood creates masterpieces that has Vietnamese and French influences. The ingredients were fresh, locally sourced, and organic. This was located in what looked like a house converted into a bake shop in a plaza. The place was very cute, had a couple of tables, and even a toy bakery stand for my toddler to play with. Everyone there was so nice and friendly there.I ordered a bunch of items; snickerdoodle cookie, chocolate croissants, banh truffles, mini chocolate waffle, and a Vietnamese iced coffee (yes, I shared it with my husband haha). The desserts I've tried were not too sweet, which I love, and delicious. The coffee was strong and tasty. The snickerdoodle cookie was lightly crispy outside and moist on the inside. The waffle had a lightly sweet glaze on the outside and chocolate on the inside. The chocolate croissants were flakey and yummy. The show stopper were the banh truffles; it tasted like very moist cake pops inside of a chocolate truffle; it had a golden sparkle to it too. All in all, I'm happy to have checked this place out and glad that it's close to me since I will for sure be frequenting it.Kid-friendliness: Had toy bakery stand“
“Oh. My. Goodness! The Pumpkin Brulee cheese cake (brulee'd to order I might add....and that smell was just HEAVEN) was amazing. It was super flavorful and creamy without being heavy. The brulee crunch added another layer of delicious. And it even LOOKS beautiful. This will FOR SURE be a go to treat. You've GOT to try it.The strawberry celebration cake was moist and tender and my darn kids refused to share any with me other than one bite. But WHAT A BITE! Craveable!“

“(Note: This review is for the Albany Ave. location) This won't be a popular review. For decades my family would frequent Scott's Bakery. We loved everything that they offered (hardo bread, beef patty, coco bread, plantain tart and so on). When I said we liked EVERYTHING, I mean it. Everything was on point!! Yesterday was my first time (and last time) going into Scott's in about a decade plus. It is clear that management has changed (if not management, something has gone horribly wrong). The shell of the patty was beyond thick and there was little meat in it. The coco bread was beyond disgusting! It was a flavorless clump of undercooked dough. You know how coco bread is supposed to taste. It didn't taste like that at all. It seems as though they've cut corners on their peanut punch which had a gell-like texture. The BEST part of everything that I purchased was the Cola Champagne. As long as they continue to use the same distributor they can't mess that up. Maybe they had a bad day. I won't be spending money to find out.“

“I would not recommend this place at all. The owner was so unprofessional and already had set the tone that she was not going to refund me back on a cake I ordered from her bakery. The cake looked nothing like the image I sent her! The rudeness was so unnecessary. I am completely shocked as an owner how she conducted herself. I even told her yes the cake was beautiful but it was not what I sent her. She told me they can't get always get it to what the customer sends. In all fairness it was not even close to what I wanted as top decorations. She put 3 fresh flowers on the cake. She was dismissive right away. Obviously had already made up her mind about this situation. Basically I was told by her you don't need to use us again. Of course I'm not. I also told her the cake was dry and no flavor, her response was of course it was. She tells me I knew this was going to be a problem from the geico. Who says that to their time customer? I am completely taken by Miriam the owner. I could keep going but at this point she just doesn't care about her customers feelings and making them feel good when ordering a special customized cake for a special day. No heart.“

“Products are fresh undoubtedly but very much costlier in comparison with other places. The interior is really different, organized and they have created themes like Disneyland. Haha, if you even don't wanna buy, you can go for a visit. I liked their concepts. They have flower sections also...“

“It's not a coffeeshop, more of a place where you can grab some food, pastries and coffee. They were able to make a cappuccino late in the afternoon while all the coffeeshops were closed, and it tasted pretty good! I also tried their passion fruit dessert, it was great!“
“Ricotta pies are to die for. The only thing that bugs me is that I never carry cash on me and they are an all cash business now. I guess my waistline will appreciate the numerous times I’ve driven by and not been able to stop and grab something.“

“Donna, the owner, is an angel. The times I have gone in were last-minute, hair-on-fire moments. And each time, she's always smooth, calm & collected. Super-pleasant and always eager to please. She's the best!Recently, I called in the morning for my 11 year old's birthday gluten-free cupcake and then I forgot and the hours had already passed for them to be open, but Donna was still there and gladly opened the door and sold me the cupcake I needed. If that's not the epitome of customer service, I don't know what is. She cares and is always ready to help.As for the quality of the cupcakes, they are Simply Delicious and moist and overflowing with flavor and creativity. I bought some for some teachers at my child's school and they absolutely love them and everyone I know Raves about her and her service and the quality of her cupcakes.Whether it's in a pinch or if you're planning a big gathering, I know where I'm going to go... and it's here!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free“

“I see this bakery's bread and rolls at other markets -. It is that good. I went there on Good Friday for a coffee and toasted roll. They had about ten huge Easter baskets on table for sale. “Five stars for the chicken cutlet grinders alone. Don't think I've had a better cutlet in the region. They will customize your sandwich any way you like, and also have a really nice selection of both fresh and frozen prepared foods like broccoli rabe, eggplant parm, chicken parm, arancini, macaroni/potato salads, etc. Staff has always been incredibly friendly and quick. Prices are fair. A complete gem.“
“Nice little deli/cafe, pretty decent food, good selection, and friendly staff. Even when it's busy they do a great job of getting your order as quick as possible. “For preface: I’m a baker. I co-opened a bakery called Neighborhoods cafe in Fenway in 2012, and I did all the baking.I can say with confidence that this place has some of the best cupcakes I’ve ever tasted: ever.I got six different ones, cut them in half, and tried a few bites of each.First off: I was BLOWN AWAY by the mint. I don’t think people realize how challenging it is to get that mint-cookie flavor, and both the vegan and the traditional cupcakes here nailed it!All cupcakes had a fun surprise filling in the middle (I love when bakers do that), and the cookie dough icing had texture AND TASTE (how, I may never know) of a light cookie dough!I think the cannoli topped one was my favorite but I all were beyond my expectation. No, they don’t have a million options, that’s because they do a few things exceedingly well. Bravo!!!6 stars!!!!This bakery is located in a massive brick building shared by other stores. It was hard to find the handicap entrance but there is one on the side!!!“

“The bakery has immense crowds all a.m. and only one or two staff people working. I plan to wait whenever I visit this bakery. I purchased a CUBANO recently - it was terrible. Around SIX mistakes! What???? I have had Cubanos at other bakeries - those had all the components of a good Cubano. I won't order it HERE EVER AGAIN. Your coffee is very smooth.“

“Really nice cozy small restaurant that will surprise you with how much space it actually has, looks much smaller from the outside. The food is way above average, definitely getting a good meal. My only recommendation is that I wished like most sandwich shops, you would get a pickle or bag of chips on the side with your meal. This would make me say the price for what you get is definitely worth it, for now it's more of an okayyyy pricing.Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming!“
