“An upscale but friendly restaurant, Rio has a relaxed in an upscale setting. The food is Mexican, not tex-mex. Everyone at our table enjoyed the food. The staff are very attentive and friendly. I had the impression the place is family run. We will definitely be going back.Vegetarian options: I noted some dishes have portobello mushrooms as the "meat" option. Other dishes had all vegetable options.Kid-friendliness: The kids menu has a good selection. The food comes on a divided plate in case you have a picky eater.“

“What a great place. It was our 1st time buying lunch from here. We bought for the whole 8 person staff at our office. The Mexican flavors were authentic and far better than the 2 corporate franchises in town. All 8 orders were spot on as requested unlike those 2 corporate franchises which we ALWAYS had mistakes in the orders. Well done. We will be back again.“

“The best tacos on the Northeastern Seaboard!Had take out once and accidentally got charged for a dine in order as well. Called to ask about the double charge that I saw on my statement and the manager was very quick to respond and handle the issue!Have been a recurring customer for a while now. Taquerio is a destination that anyone visiting the Mystic area should definitely check out!“

“Decided on a last minute trip to Mystic for Xmas Eve. Grabbed a reservation at Rio Salado and SO GLAD WE DID! Our food was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. Our server, Kevin, was attentive with a positive, upbeat attitude. Can't wait to go back! Rio Saldado is definitely one of our go-to places from now on. Perfect way to celebrate family and good eats!!“

“We have visited the place varios times and the food is incredibly good, it is served hot and in good combination of tastes. The personal is always asking if the could help in any way, and very courteous. The price is the "jaquemate" of this eating journey. We strongly recommend this.“

“Fantastic Mexican restaurant. Good vibes and good music. There is an upstairs and downstairs seating area. We came for lunch on a Wednesday and were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Although a little pricey, the food was amazing. Highly recommend the chips & salsa or the guacamole & salsa. Limited street parking.“

“Went somewhere new for date night and Manana Cafe did not disappoint! Started with the homemade tortilla chips and guacamole, which was better than we’ve ever tried elsewhere..fresh fried chips were amazing! I had the mole poblano con pollo and hubby had cochinita pibil (shredded pork with citrus and tortillas). Both were delicious, authentic and fresh. We also tried a spicy margarita and the cinnamon honey margarita and enjoyed both. Service was friendly and sweet and we were checked on often but not invasively. Was a little pricey but was to be expected for the quality and authenticity. It was a win for us, 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“We visited Rubini's Full Circle for the first time last week. We have been semi regulars at the owner's breakfast restaurant so figured we'd check it out.The entire restaurant has been completely renovated and looks great. A pub like atmosphere that is welcoming. We came pretty early so it was pretty quiet but did start filling up quickly, once dinner time approached. Our waitress was friendly and attentive without being annoying.I ordered the calamari, which was cooked perfectly. I ordered the fish and chips and my entrée. Healthy portion and also cooked well. I was a tad disappointed with the haddock itself but the breading was appropriately crispy. My husband ordered a large side salad, which was massive and could be a meal on it's own with an added protein, and a burrito.Overall this is probably a do over for an impromtu outing.“

“Absolutely love the vibe of this place. There's two areas, you have the restaurant on the second floor and the bar on the third floor. The margarita flight was phenomenal. The staff are super friendly and have solid recommendations for food choices, but can tend to slow down when it's busy. Party of 3 took about an hour and half, but it was Cinco de Mayo so there's benefit of the doubt for that. The queso skillet was great and so were the skillet nachos. Highly recommended to anyone checking out the area or looking for a nice night out with some great Hispanic food.Free Parking can be hard to find, there's a paid lot down the street but if you don't mind walking there's a couple street spots that tend to be open down the road.Parking: Street parking down the road or around mystic, free for two hours.Paid parking lot down the road from the restaurant past the dive bar.Kid-friendliness: They have a good selection on the kids menu. Kids cups are easily spillable so if that's a worry I'd bring your own cups.Wheelchair accessibility: No wheelchair access.“

“Went to have drinks but we’re not allowed a table unless each member of our party purchased an entire. We wanted an appetizer. We had to clear our own table in order to eat our appetizer and have our drinks. The hostess was so rude. Luckily another waitress came over to us and was very kind with recommendations on how to enjoy the rest of our night there. There was a dj and dancers and we enjoyed the rest of our night.“
