“Wedding photographer, Mystic local, and food lover here...Oyster Club is the best restaurant in Greater Mystic for sure. I've been with my wife for a few special occasions but have also photographed a wedding celebration here.Chef Renee and company know what they are doing. If you're anything like me, you'll love the uniqueness of everything Oyster Club has to offer, from the the dishes to The Treehouse. This is New England fine dining at its best.If you're in the area (and even if you're not; just make a reservation and plan a drive), you have to stop for a meal at Oyster Club!“
“We love going to the Mystic seaport and this was a great pub! The food was terrific and the beer was great. You order inside of the counter and they bring it to your table outside. They also have indoor seating. Would recommend if you are going to see the historic village.Kid-friendliness: Great for the kids because you sit outside.“
“This was our time eating at the Tin Peddler and we were very impressed. For our dinner date, the food, the service and the atmosphere were all great. The noise level was a bit too high, but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, so I guess that's good. Definitely will be back.“
“When we were booking our stay at the Mohegan Sun, I wanted to make reservations for somewhere special and I picked the MJ steakhouse. The MJ steakhouse did not disappoint. Their team of hostesses and waiters were awesome. I had a few of their "air" -spressos (pic attached) which were delicious. My bf and I shared the Flight 23 and an order of their mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. All of the meat was cooked to perfection and the sides were delicious as well. Their special dessert of the night was creme brulee and it was to die for! Highly recommend this place!“
“One of our favorite restaurants. Have been here upwards of 20 times or more and have never had a dish or cocktail we haven’t enjoyed. The best burger in town for sure and their sourdough is out of this world delicious. The menu changes often with a few staples so you’re never bored and can always try something new. Very fresh, always.Extremely talented team!“
“This place has it all! Atmosphere, view, and exquisite food. Check it out if you're in the area and make a special trip if you aren't. Owl & Dove is a special spot. We're vegan and they had several vegan dishes on the menu, with others that could easily be made vegan. All the non-vegan dishes coming out of the kitchen also looked amazing! They've got something for everybody at Owl & Dove.Dietary restrictions: We are vegan and they had vegan options right on the menu, along with several other dishes that could easily be made vegan. The non-vegan dishes coming out of the kitchen looked amazing, too!“
“Stephanie one of the owners is so charming and creates such a friendly atmosphere here. You can feel the buzz when you come in. My Stonington fluke was a stomach shot back my days living in this delightful village. And friends loved their tuna. Yummy. Keep it going guys. You do a great job.“
“A New London staple! If you live here, you can disregard this review because you probably already know how good it is, and I would just be preaching to the choir. If you're new to the area, though, or just passing through- you need to check this place out asap. I've always loved coming here for a comfort meal, but it wasn't until a family trip to Charleston, SC until I truly appreciated how lucky I was to have Neon Chicken right in my backyard. We visited a restaurant down there that had been getting national coverage for how good their rotisserie chicken was. It had been on famous TV shows and had received plenty of accolades. To be clear, it did live up to the hype! But my family and I all agreed: It's great, but it's not as good as Neon. The service there is impeccable, always fast and friendly. The restaurant itself is very casual, with plenty of seating to enjoy your meal. My go-to order is a breast and thigh plate, mac and cheese, stuffing, and of course a piece of their corn bread. There's nothing that hits the spot quite like it on these chilly winter days.“
“This little place is very cozy. It's in an historic town that gets extremely busy in the summer. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. There's beautiful artwork on the walls that are available for purchase. It has a bar but we sat at a table. There was a fireplace going. I ordered the Bulgogi lettuce wraps which is Korean style beef with Sriracha mayo as an appetizer, and the baked haddock with rice and vegetables for the main course. For dessert, I ordered the gingerbread pudding cake. The appetizer was fantastic. I forgot to take a picture before diving in. The haddock was cooked to perfection as well as the green beans. Unfortunately, I was served mashed potatoes with it instead of rice. The potatoes were very good but I thought it was a weird thing to serve with the fish. I wasn't a fan of the gingerbread pudding cake and wished I had gotten the spice cake instead. It was served with a sauce that made the texture of the cake too wet. All in all, I enjoyed my meal very much. It was a nice, relaxing atmosphere and we were able to sit and chat to kill time before we proceeded to a program at the Le Grua Center down the road.Parking: This town is very old and the streets are extremely narrow. We parked down the street and walked a couple blocks to the restaurant. We probably could have parked by the restaurant but opted to walk.“
“Not your regular restaurant. We stopped for brunch on our way to the Orient Point ferry. What a wonderful surprise it was. Everything served is way above the standard quality of regular and even fine restaurants, for a very moderate price. I wish we would have a place like this closer to home!“
“I went here for a work lunch and I had a pretty good experience! The service was really good, we had people join as they showed up and as soon as someone new arrived at the table, someone was over to ask them for their beverage order. Our food also arrived very quickly after ordering and the view of the golf course was lovely. I got the spicy chicken wrap and it was only okay, it was a little on the drier side and the tortilla seemed a little stale. It was peeling kind of strangely and felt hard. The fries were good, though. It was a still a good experience, there was a lot of seating available so I highly recommend for larger groups.“
“I LOVE the food here. The jambalaya is absolutely incredible and so are the collard greens. I can't stop ordering the same thing here because I love it so much. The staff are also extremely friendly and welcoming, even when they're busy.“
“Many restaurants will charge high prices to create an aura of quality and fine dining, only to disappoint when it comes down to eating. Shipwright's Daughter is not that place. The prices are on the high side but wow, do they deliver. Four adults, four very different entrees and everyone left with all smiles. My beef strip loin was cooked perfectly and everything that accompanied it was tasty. Some signature cocktails were discounted for the 5 - 6 pm happy hour and were, again, delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive without overtaking the conversation. If your taste buds deserve a holiday this place is worth a visit.“
