“It's been too long since we're been. We've realized that we've been missing exceptionally great food and nice servings at very reasonable prices. It's a cozy atmosphere with very good waitstaff. Making reservations through SEVENROOMS was very easy and being part of Five Star is a nice perk. Thank you again...we'll be back !!!“
“Went with my family this summer. It was delicious. Customer service was great. The girls that work the front are friendly and helpful. Pur pizza was amazing. The veggie ranch is a much try. So many options and toppings. There is something for everyone. They have subs and pasta dinners that we great too. Indoor or outdoor seating. The outside was great on a summer night. A great local pizza shop!!!“
“NewSylum is a brewery built in the old Newtown asylum (the employee dining hall, if I remember correctly). They usually don't have six IPAs on draft like most places, shuffling between a healthy mix of styles. Beers range from good to great; I've never had a bad one. The pizza is where this place really stands out. It's fired in a brick oven and the result is a New Haven inspired personal pizza that's a little closer to New York style (CT beer fans: think Brewport's but smaller). You can tell it's popular because they have a huge stack of to-go boxes. There's a lot of other stuff on the menu I haven't bothered trying because this is so good. Parking is a bit of a pain, especially if you want to fight for one of the two car chargers on the other side of the Fairfield Hills campus. But the chargers are free (for two hours), so if you can get one, lucky you! Also, it can get crowded and loud sometimes, especially when the music starts. Most breweries are like that. It's better in the summer when their outdoor space is fully operational. Plan your visit accordingly. But do visit the old asylum. You'd be insane not to.“
“Awesome food and great craft beer list. Very knowledgeable staff about craft beers and wine. Great food and and a great value. Very cute, friendly waitreses. Truly great beer selection, not just the usual 5 different hazy NE IPA most places put up as their craft beer. There was 1 Belgian, 2 Germans, a bourbon barrel aged beer, as well as few Excellent Local beers. Do yourself a flavor, go for the beer and stay for the delicious food.Highly recommended!“
“Stopped to get a cup of coffee, and wanted a slice which they sell because I didn’t want to wait. I should have waited the pizza was crisp and tasty. Service was friendly and quick! Tried stopping back on return but they were closed Monday . Will return on next “
“Everything, from the amazing atmosphere to the service, was absolutely top-tier. There were so many variations of pasta with different types of meats for each of them. The pizza was absolutely the best pizza on this side of Connecticut and New York. The service was pleasantly quick. The waiters and waitresses were amazing and kind. The food was presented in such a beautiful and extravagant style. And more importantly delicious. Damir and Andrijana, the owner and his wife were very kind. Overall a great experience for anyone. 10/10, will be coming back real soon.Very good for a date or a family night. Laid back and cozy.Kid-friendliness: My kids love this place. Great Pizza!Amazing atmosphere and a caring staff. Wonderful! Our kids want to celibate their birthdays here.“
“Food price / quality (value) rating 9.5. this place uses high quality ingredients and everything is cooked properly. Their Pizza is a Greek style pan pizza with a wonderfully thin crisp crust. I've gotten probably 30 pizzas here in the last 18 months and they've all been perfect! High quality cheeses and meats and generous toppings are always the norm. This is the only pizza I've been eating lately. I would recommend the meatball and hot pepper Pizza or the sausage and hot pepper pizza and always get a large. Easy access from exit 10 off i-84 in Newtown.“
“Just ate at Papa Al's pizza ? as far a CT pizza goes I would give it a solid 8. I liked that they weren't afraid to offer unique toppings I had the mango habenario chicken pizza it was very good. I would not classify this as NY style pizza. And I felt the price on slices was a bit high I paid a $13.15 for 2 normal sized slices of the specialty pizza and a 20oz root beer ? so I would estimate the slices at about $5 a slice. Atmosphere was alright. Staff was friendly.“
“I love their food! Their steak panni is really good and fries are really amazing! Also, whenever I have an event, I order their pizzas for the staffs’ lunch. And all of them said the pizzas are really delicious!!The staffs in that restaurant are really nice and friendly!“
“Franco’s is our go-to for delivery. From the pizza to the grinders and wraps to the salads, we are never disappointed. They deliver on time, the food is still hot and fresh, and it’s always perfectly made. Their pesto mayo is amazing and gets added to almost everything we order!“
“This is by far the best pizza place anywhere in Connecticut ANYWHERE. I have never had a pizza be this constantly good anywhere else in Connecticut which is surprising coming from a place so close to New York. The service is always great lovely people, and ambience feels as if I'm in a basement with friends eating home made pizza pie.“
