“Came upon this place when we were in the neighborhood for the children's museum and my mother-in-law said she had a hankering for some ice cream. A lot of the reviews and some the photos here say it's a stand alone shop but the directions led us to a stand in front of a Zara and next to an Auntie Anne's pretzel stand. The stand was run by just one person who had to quite the line of folks aching for their ice cream folks. Between us four adults, we all chose different combinations of the Tiramisu, amorino, bacio, and chocolate. The gelato here is goooood - creamy, full flavor whether it be nutty, chocolate or cherry. My tot was a more of a fan of the cone than the gelato. The gelato here was not particularly pricey for Norwalk or it being gelato, as opposed to traditional ice cream.My one and only gripe was really that after the person finished serving up the line, he quickly wrapped up with a handmade BRB sign and left his post. The stand remained unmanaged and with some gelato-hungry potential customers lurking back and forth for at least 20 minutes. We eventually left and never saw the guy return to the stand after we finished our scoops. I hate to feel we really lucked out timing-wise but seemed like we did. Just hope to be as lucky the next time we are in the neighborhood and are craving a couple of scoops.“
“Angela Mia is the real deal, an authentic Italian pastry shoppe owned and staffed by - guess who? - Italians!, since 1970, who make everything on the premises. When you walk in, your senses are treated to every kind of Italian pastries, cookies and cakes you could imagine, neatly stacked behind glistening glass shelves. Try finding someone to make you a chocolate mousse cheesecake on order, and your'e gonna be looking for a long time. True, The Cheesecake Factory makes them, but who wants their cheesecake to be made in a factory, lol, at exorbitant prices to boot. There are a number of reviewers who mention they weren't treated with respect by staff, and give a poor rating based on that. It's been my experience the way someone is treated may lead them to leave a poor rating, but has little to do with the quality of the food. I feel Angela Mia's overall rating is unfair because of this. Personally, I've never had any problems there. Nuff said.“
“I recently signed up for Pierluigis Sourdough Bread making class at the Fatto an Mano Bakery in Westport, CT and it was a 5 star experience all the way. I felt it was taught in an organized way so that home bakers could feel educated and empowered to make beautiful artisanal bread at home. We learned all the different stages of making sourdough and we were able to get our hands on some dough and learn the techniques from the master himself. He is a gentleman!! 10/10 highly recommend!!!“
“I’ve been trying to find an allergy friendly bakery that actually takes cross contamination precautions seriously and the cake box exceeded my expectations. I have a family member that has a wheat egg and peanut allergy. He can eat the vegan cake here no problem. And the cake is delicious!! Thank you so much for being awesome!“
“Currently 13 weeks pregnant was diagnosed with HG. I have barely been able to keep anything down but today I ordered a sandwich from you guys. It was the most delicious thing ever and I literally felt so happy because not only was it fresh but it was delicious and I just saw so happy that I was able to keep it down and I also like how the employees were super kind and sweet when I came in. Stopped in for a slice of tiramisu, and wow, was it delicious! Best I've ever had! They also serve food, and I hear it's amazing! Will definitely be back for lunch!“
