“’ve been going to Liz Sue II bagels for years- it’s been my go-to for bagels. I’m not exactly sure what happened though, but the taste has changed, for the worse. I don’t think I’m the only one experiencing this. Other reviews here have noted a “fishy” or “metallic” taste, but for me and my family, we’ve felt the bagels have a strange “dishwater” type after-taste which is obviously not very appealing. It’s been like this for multiple visits over a few months and it’s the same at both Stamford and Norwalk locations. Because of the bad taste, we have stopped coming here for bagels. What’s causing this?? Please go back to the original bagels so we can come back!“
“Oak Hills is great value. The layout has some quirks but it presents a good challenge. The course is kept in overall very good condition for how much traffic it sees. On the positive side, the greens are kept in better shape than any other public course in the area. For the cons, the sand and a few of the Tees need some work..“
“Some of the best Szechwan Chinese food is tucked into a small nook on Washington Street in Norwalk. Don’t expect great ambiance or fancy service. What you will get is absolutely fantastic Szechwan Chinese food. I recently dined in for lunch and left incredibly impressed with the food. You have your choice of all the traditional appetizers, but I encourage you to include an order of spring rolls, which are wrapped in a delicate flash fried paper-thin dough. Delish! For main dishes, my guest and I shared the Dan Dan Noodles and Dry Fry Beef. You have the option of including your desired level of heat – and I caution you to be careful. I appreciate a great hot dish, but chose “medium” heat – and it was PLENTY hot (I’m glad I didn’t go hotter). The Dan Dan Noodles were absolutely delicious – I took leftover home, kept thinking about them, and then ate the leftover noodles for dinner – and they were just as delicious. The Dry Fry Beef is flash fried to a perfect crisp and served with sticky rice, a perfect pair. This will be my new Chinese take-out favorite.“
“The food was amazing as usual. And the service is excellent!!Vegetarian options: There are pasta options, salads, and apps that are vegetarian. Also gluten-free optionsDietary restrictions: They can prepare things to specifications.Parking: They have a limited number of parking spaces. But the food is worth parking elsewhere and walking.“
“If you are looking for a great Vegetarian or Vegan meal then look no further. Layla's Falafel is the best.....The owner is friendly and makes you feel like part of the family. The staff is gracious and I never feel I have to wait very long for my food. The food is delicious, I specifically love the Jerusalem Falafel!“
“During a five-night stay in the area, I ate here three times. It was delicious. I loved the bang-bang shrimp bowl and the shrimp and clam scampi. So good! I also enjoyed the salmon wrap with sweet potato fries, though it wasn't as great as the other dishes. While the food arrived quickly, the wait staff did seem overwhelmed, especially the bar. It took quit awhile to get a cocktail. If I'm in Southport again, I'll definitely eat here again.“
“Best way to celebrate Easter! My family had amazing time eating delicious food, chatting and connecting. Our hostess, Monique, made the evening even more enjoyable by being attentive, accurate and just so sweet and welcoming. Thank you, Monique, for being such a wonderful addition to our dinner at Outback Steakhouse in Wilton! I really hope you will be serving us on our next visit.“
“Love this place, love all their different teas. But most of all I love their vegan/GF banana bread. I travel here on purpose just for this. It's a small and quiet little bistro but an adorable, cozy place. Everyone here is always friendly. Only thing parking at times is a bit difficult. But that won't stop me from stopping here.“
“Hands down the BEST vegan and GF cakes anywhere in the area. It’s no easy task getting this right and wow, just wow. The specialty birthday cake was out of this world and the cupcakes were phenomenal. This is our new go-to.Vegan GF sandwiches are outstanding, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and we always walk away with a gift for someone from their little shop. This is a real gem! My only criticism is that the shop is a little tucked away so not enough people know where to find it.“
“We walked in early on a Saturday evening to see if they had a table for 4 (after the restaurant we had originally booked looked grim...) and were immediately greeted with warmth and professionalism. They offered to create a 4 top for us in a quiet corner and whisked us to the table. The service and food that followed were both terrific. A great lesson in hospitality. Make people feel welcome and feed them terrific, straight forward food with attentive but not overbearing service and reasonable prices!“
“My wife and I are foodies. For the past five years, this is our favorite restaurant in Connecticut, worth every penny. The tables may be small and crowded and the wine selection is very limited, but flavors are amazing, as is the variety of unexpected choices. We're hooked on some dishes, but I encourage you to explore the entire menu. You won't be disappointed.“
“Joe's has the best pizza in Connecticut! I always get a small "NY Style Cheese Pizza" with Pepperoni that can easily feed two people. RéNapoli (Margherita Pizza) is a second choice fave pizza in Connecticut. I'm unsure about Connecticuters' love of Connecticut Hot Oil Pizza at Riko's, and Sally's Apizza or Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana but not my taste.“
“I heard amazing things about this place so I had to stop by. Let me say that the staff and food is amazing. I got 2 chocolate croissants, some macarons, and a blt sandwich and can I just say mmmm ?. This is definitely one of my new favorite spots!“
“I’ve been coming to this place for the past couple months. I absolutely love the variety of cookies that she has. Every time I am around the area I go there and I get my wife a cookie Needless to say these cookies are phenomenal. Especially the chocolate chip cookie. I consider this place a little hidden gem in Wilton. The owner is absolutely amazing and is always very friendly. I highly recommend this place.“
“They plainly spell out what is gluten free on their online and in person menu, which makes dining out as a person with celiac disease much, much easier. The food was delicious. My only complaint is that the French fry portions could be a bit bigger.Dietary restrictions: Thank you for offering many gluten free choices, especially in apps and desserts.“
