“I've eaten here a few times, twice for lunch and once for breakfast. Their grinders are really good. The ingredients were fresh and just the right amount of meat. Their breakfast sandwiches are really good and fresh as well. The staff are always very friendly and the shop itself is always clean and inviting.“
“I ordered a steak and cheese grinder, a grilled cheese for the baby , & a smoothie. The smoothie and grilled cheese were both great. The steak grinder was honestly dry, I didn’t taste the cheese or onions, just dry meat . I did order off of door dash in defense of the store so it definitely could’ve dried out in the delivery process . I will definitely try them again in person & I would still recommend anyone looking for a healthy friendly place to eat to try the green deli .“
“I am a teacher at a local elementary school and went to lunch here with my colleagues on our professional development day. I had planned to order an omelette as I have a gluten allergy, but didn’t realize that breakfast hours had ended. Although breakfast had ended, the gentleman at the counter was kind enough to put in my order. My Western omelette was delicious and I am so impressed with their customer service! “We often pop by the shop to pick up breakfast sandwiches on our way to the office. Recently, we asked Tommy & Marie to help us provide light food options for our art studio's Grand Opening last week. They recommended their stuffed breads (stromboli). We ordered the Italian Combo stromboli, Broccoli Rabe and cheese stromboli, potato salad, and a roasted vegetable and penne salad. The food was a hit!! “Absolutely delicious!! Worth the wait. Seems like they're not too friendly unless you're a Regular though. Eh... maybe they were just busy. Just about everyone that was ordering lunch to go, got Kielbasa with Provolone, Kraut, Mustard on a Hard Roll. And I'll agree after making it at home, that's the BEST Way to eat it! Bring CASH Because they don't take any kind of cards. That should be updated as a lot of people no longer carry cash. And the parking is terrible there. Too bad they won't move a bigger space... but they've been in that same space since it opened a zillion years ago. Totally nostalgic.Overall, if you've never been to this small little Shop, you need to. Their Kielbasa is Delicious!Parking: The lot is very small. If people park correctly, you can fit about 6 cars in the lot. I know when they get busy, people park along the street and it makes it difficult for traffic to get through.“

“Friends brought us frozen eggplant parm, chicken parm & baked ziti. I just had surgery and can’t cook. We cooked them all up & every single dish is delicious! Excellent food. I am an eggplant parm aficionado and it is excellent. We are just thrilled by the generosity of our friends and thoroughly are enjoying the food! “Easily the best sandwich shop in the area. Staff are always mega friendly and do custom orders without any fuss and always with enthusiasm. If you want a sandwich (Subway... come on dude! Gross...) don't you dare go anywhere else? Prices are super reasonable too.My go to: chicken cutlet wrap with Swiss, pepperoni, jalapenos, onion (raw, though sauteed is always available), lettuce, mayo and their homemade chipotle sauce. Comes out perfect every time.“

“They are the best deli in Waterbury . even all the surrounding towns. The bread is perfect. It is to hard but not so soft it gets soggy. Perfect amount of onions and tops. Meat. Well they definitely don't skimp. It flows with tons of meat and good quality. My mouth gets happy on the firsy bite thru the end Btw. Their Roast Beef is perfecto too! Not well done. Nice and juicy and pinkish. Not rare. Just right.“

“Five stars for the chicken cutlet grinders alone. Don't think I've had a better cutlet in the region. They will customize your sandwich any way you like, and also have a really nice selection of both fresh and frozen prepared foods like broccoli rabe, eggplant parm, chicken parm, arancini, macaroni/potato salads, etc. Staff has always been incredibly friendly and quick. Prices are fair. A complete gem.“

“I don't buy lunch out much anymore finding it hard to justify $15 on a taco meal or a burger & fries & guilt. When I get a fresh sub or salad from Nardelli's, I'm happy and full off of healthier great tasting food. It's just as fast! I usually don't have time to eat there but it's well maintained, stocked with options from snacks to dessert and a friendly staff. My go to is a seafood salad wrap but there's nothing like the Italian grinder. On a controlled day, lol, that's my lunch & dinner! Hope to see you there, in passing“
