“Visited on Sat. Jan 27th, 2024 around 2pm at the Southington CT on Queen Street from Maine. We were seated by the hostess after waiting for awhile. The hostess at the front was not friendly, did not greet us, or acknowledge us in any way other than to show us to our table. She seemed very irritated while she was showing us to our table. The place was not very busy at the time. It was just us (2 people) and a family of 3 ahead of us. The hostess made us feel like we were an inconvenience and seemed like she didn't want to be there lol! Not sure why, but she did not provide utensils, but did provide the menus. ERIC was our server. He made sure our needs were met, making sure we got our fresh pot of coffee, checking in to see how our food was or if we needed anything else. The young man was exceptional and he made up for the hostesse's rudeness and incompetence! Management should give this young man a raise! He is an asset!“
“What a great meal! Came here because we were on the way to get donuts at Brooklyn Baking Co and missed their breakfast timing - so glad we did! Had the Irish Benny - AMAZING corned beef hash, perfect eggs and sauce!!! Fluffy pancakes too and my boyfriend enjoyed the waffles - "real syrup and fresh, fresh fruit!" Owner is super friendly as is the staff and we had just a great experience ... what a find! Definitely putting this on our come back again soon list!!!“
“This place is a hidden gem. Mom and I went for a late breakfast today. We were seated immediately and had a great table near the window with plenty of sunshine on this cold day. Our server Christopher was the BEST! We ordered the 2 special French toast dishes, one with pineapple and coconut and the the other with berries and cream. We also got bacon on the side. The food was AWESOME! Best bacon we’ve had out ever! Our French toast was so fresh and delicious and the coffee was amazing as well. All the staff was by to see if we wanted more coffee or water, they were wonderful. We will definitely be back again and this cafe gets 5 stars in our book! Run, don’t walk to this great little cafe! Thanks again for everything, Christopher!“
“OMG! this place is the Bomb! I had the monster Bacon Veggie omelette with the bacon on the side! Friendly staff and a traditional cafe with counter and booth seating where you can watch the Maestro at work! Parking on street and behind the restaurant?“
“I find Rob's kitchen to have a "Homey" feeling to it. The waiters and waitresses always make me feel like I'm part of their family in the way they treat me.The food is contemporary with a Mexican flair to it. I'm unfamiliar with most Mexican cuisine so I usually sample the menu and "Today's" specials. I have to say that the food is amazing and I think of Rob's place as somewhere to go when I want to indulge myself in some quality time and food“
“Had an amazing lunch at Josie’s Corner in Berlin today. The restaurant was very clean and very comfortable, the service was exceptional with a wonderful server, and the food was EXCELLENT! The price was very good and the serving side is huge. Our experience was absolutely perfect. We will be returning soon and intend to go there often. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope our review reaches many. Give this restaurant a try. You will not be disappointed!“
“This is the place for you if you appreciate excellent customer service, savory, delicious food that tastes like momma made it, and a good laugh with great people. Cannot say enough about what a wonderful little place this is. Thank you Sara and Karen for cooking it with love every single time.“
“I brought my niece and nephew there the morning. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the cinnamon swirl pancakes and all 3 of us ate of them and didn’t finish them, they were huge! The western omelette my nephew had was very good as well! Definitely fair priced as well. Will definitely be back.“
“Connie's is one of my favorite local breakfast spots! I literally go there almost every Saturday morning... it's not very big place, so sometimes you do have to wait for a table to be seated (but it's breakfast, so the turnover time is pretty quick). If you're going on a Saturday or Sunday morning, I'd recommend going bright and early (around 8AM) or a little later (after 10:30AM) to avoid the crowd. As far as the food, it's just your standard breakfast menu, and they do also have a lunch menu as well with sandwiches, etc. I usually stick with eggs, bacon, and toast, so nothing too crazy. The coffee is hit-or-miss, but usually more of a miss, unfortunately. The food is very good though!Overall the staff is generally nice, though sometimes it seems like they're a little overwhelmed and the service is a little slow. Still, I would recommend Connie's as a solid breakfast spot!“
“The place was packed but we didn't have to wait long. Our waitress was great. Even though she had a lot of tables to take care of I didn't feel neglected. The food was good but there were a few issues. The fries were incredibly greasy and the portion was not generous. My egg sandwich was a little on the bland side. Overall everything was good though and I'd definitely go back.Parking: Parking can be a little tough. Some street parking and there's a small lot in the back. I saw a lot of people parked on the side street.“
“Upon arrival, there is plenty of parking. As you enter the establishment, you seat yourself, and within seconds, the staff is already asking you for your drink order. Gotta love a staff that is superior in customer service. It's always busy there, but yet, my food arrives at my table within 8 to 12 minutes. The food is very delicious, and priced even better. My visits are always perfect. No complaints at all. I definitely recommend Rodds to everyone ??“
“A quaint quiet local diner with AMAZING food. The side of hash (corned beef) was so crispy and flavorful! The knife work on the potatoes in the hash was so perfectly even (aka everything cooked evenly) which lended to how amazing every bite was. I loved the Scotty's Benedict which had 3 poached eggs over baked Virginia ham, melty cheese, and English muffins. My partner got a sausage egg and cheese on a hard roll for just 5.95$ and wow did he love it! It had the freshest eggs, juiciest sausage patties, and gooey melty cheese on a tasty roll. You definitely won't leave here hungry.“
“My husband and I decided to stop for breakfast one day three weeks ago and we were amazed with everything. I ordered Eggs Benedict, coffee and an orange juice. My husband ordered pancakes, sausage, coffee and orange juice. We also got a side of bacon. Everything was perfect and delicious! My Eggs Benedict was cooked perfectly and the best I’ve ever had. I am a self proclaimed Eggs Benedict connoisseur and I was extremely impressed. The eggs were poached perfectly…which is very important. The hollandaise sauce was so tasty that I just wanted to jump in and swim in it! And the homefries were amazing! My husband, who is a huge pancake fanatic said the pancakes were by far the best he has ever ate. He said they were fluffy and cooked perfectly through and the bacon was very crispy and the sausage not overcooked. The coffee was fresh and strong, which is how we like it. Since that first day, we have gone back two more times. If you happen to like soup, let me tell you…their soups are wonderful! The waitress was excellent and very friendly. She welcomes everyone with a smile and frequently checks in to see how everything is. The gentleman who cooks also comes out to greet the customers and asks how everyone is doing and is very humbled with every compliment he and the waitress receives. They definitely pride themselves on being the best and they truly are the best! We will definitely be making this a weekly trip. We find ourselves thinking about the food at Peter’s II and can’t wait to go back. We 100% recommend Peter’s II to anyone looking for a small locally owned and operated restaurant for breakfast and lunch. You won’t be disappointed.Parking: The restaurant is located in a small plaza so there are many parking spaces in front as well as on the side and back.Kid-friendliness: They make the cutest Mickey Mouse pancakes for kids. They also have a children’s menu.“
“Spoke to the owner/mother and her daughter, they're a delight. Funny and personable. My mom and I are on a road trip and we're trying to eat local to each city, HIGHLY recommend if you want a homemade breakfast and a family atmosphere.“
“Love this spot. Everything is well portioned, fresh, and comes out quickly. Can't say enough about the service staff and their continued excellence. This has easily been one of the staples of breakfast/lunch service in Bristol for many years and will continue with its imminent local support. As a BC alum the dark red booths have always done it for me“
“Loved this as The Whole Donut and love the new S’wiches version. Breakfast sandwiches are excellent. And the pastry? Anyone who thinks their donuts are like Dunkin’ is crazy! Fresh, high quality, interesting and super-tasty donuts that RULE over Dunkin’s, AND the donuts are like twice the size as Dunkin. Get there early on the weekend for an apple fritter. It will blow your tastebuds away! To top it off, the staff is professional and super-friendly. Love these guys!“
“It was my first visit, but I need to give them a 2nd chance. This was a very nice place and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, my bagel was not that good. Very hard and chewy. Seemed stale. The flavored cream cheese was very good. I would like to go back and try another bagel to see if the experience is the same. Like I said, I gave them a second chance. I had the same everything bagel not toasted with flavored cream cheese. This time the bagel was excellent. Just what I expected. I'm glad to see that my first experience was a 1 off. I will go back to try their sandwiches and burgers. Changing my review to 5 stars.“
“Unfortunately the food seems to be taking a fall, uncooked or overcooked food but some not all but some waitresses are friendly and it makes it a nice place to come, just need to see what's going on with the person cooking the food, maybe just having a bad couple “
