I previously went to the Mezcalero on Rt 1 and wasnt terribly impressed. In a random comversation someone was saying to try the place, I gave my expdrience, and he recommended the DC location. I was recommended by a colleague to try Mezcalero and I definitely enjoyed my visit. I visited on a Friday night, no reservation, and I was seated quickly. It had a decent number of people but wasn't super packed. The place is right on 14th street, it's pretty small but lively. The server was very kind and attentive. They are very slow. All I got was 4 tacos and it took them 30 min. No sides, just tacos. Keep walking if you stumble on this place. People ordered after me, ate and left and I still didn't get my food.
