“Some fantastic and clever vegan options taking influence from a variety of global cooking styles while painstakingly limiting to locally sourced ingredients. Service was incredible, and the atmosphere was surprisingly casual. Some particularly strong mushroom options and one oyster on offer for those wanting it. Maybe bc it was winter, I found the menu very homey and hardy without an over reliance on showmanship or crazy techniques and processes - at least in comparison to a lot of modern fine dining.“

“We are tourist & was searching for a place too eat since our first choice for dinner totally ignored us after we sat there 30 minutes we left. This pizza joint is absolutely delicious. The thin crust was delicious especially on the cheese pizza. The only negative thing I have too say is y’all charging too much for a house salad. I mean if you gonna charge $14 @ least give me something other than basic lettuce.“

“I have loved many pizza places. None of them has been as consistently amazing as Martha Dear. The guanciale and arugula pie I had last night is another utterly stunning iteration. I will think about this one in my sleep. I will crave it. As much as I will stand on a soapbox telling anyone who will listen that Martha Dear is not just THE best pizza in the DMV, but one of the best restaurants in the area, it is the conspicuously kind service that is the first thing I will mention. If you’ve never been, put Martha Dear at the very top of your restaurant to-do list. The very top.“

“Our sister Debbie passed away unexpectedly. Debbie was a very casual person. She didn't want a funeral. So we had a graveside service. I got permission from the church to have Timber Pizza come to the cemetery because my sister would have gotten a big kick out of that. The pizza was great, the service was wonderful, the two gentlemen were very friendly. When I told Kevin that sausage gravy and biscuits was my sister's favorite food, they brought it and cooked the biscuits in the wood fired oven. It was incredible, and so compassionate. Kevin was kind and patient with the level of crazy I've been putting out there for the past two weeks. I can't recommend them highly enough.“

“Many people have described this place as the best pizza in DC. While it is good and definitely has that classic NYC style, it was not five star pizza. I got the Classic Pepperoni signature pizza with burrata and hot honey - very tasty.

I got it for takeout which may have also contributed to quality of the pie. A really nice touch was that they put the buratta and hot honey on the side, which kept the pizza crispier while I brought it home.

I hope to try a fresh slice at the restaurant someday soon. They have lots of selection between their own creations and the classics. If you are in DC and craving pizza, give them a try!

“My boyfriend loves their wings and my sandwich was delicious. The thing that really makes this place is the staff. We met the owner/chef and he truly cares about his food. I highly recommend this place.“

“The pizza was so good, the slice was bigger than my head. Perfect place to go when your having fun in Adam's morgan or need late night eats! There is no. seating inside but a little outside. They give you a pizza box for your one slice which is so nice so you dont get oil everywhere on you. Slice will run you about $8“

“We went for the bottomless happy hour deal. For $36 (~$50 after tax and tip) you get unlimited drinks and some apps from 5-7.

Most places in DC don’t honor the true spirit of bottomless drinks but that is not the case here. Our server kept the drinks flowing and they were all delicious. So was the food.

10/10 experience, amazing bang for your buck, and overall an excellent way to kick off the weekend.“

“I had the most amazing time at Nero and just had to share! From the moment I walked in, I was instantly hooked by the vibe – the atmosphere is seriously top-notch. I started with the Tandoori Pops, which were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. Then I had the Truffle Mushroom Pizza, and wow… it was incredible. So fresh, so rich, and the truffle just made it next level. As for the drinks, I couldn’t resist the Espresso Martini – I had one, and it was so good I had to go back for another! Everything from the food to the drinks and the vibe was on point. Can’t wait to go back and do it all over again! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a great time and even better food.“

“This spot was incredible. Great artisan pizzas with creative pairings & cooked to perfection. The Harambe loved Big Macs and Macha Roni were both SO good. My favorite between the two was the Harambe- which had an fantastic dressing. It truly was a star.

“Very good pizza but very over priced. Ambiance is great and cute decor just might only be worth it if you dine in rather than order takeout. It’s just not worth spending $70 for two medium-sized pizzas to eat at home. It is delicious though so I’ll likely be back, just with the awareness that I’ll be spending a lot.“

“The pizza was pretty good! I enjoyed meatball pizza. It was fresh and tasty. The chicken appetizer was also delicious. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Parking is very scarce so prepare enough time. Excellent customer service. I would definitely go back and try other pizzas next time I am in the area.“

“Food was tasty and service was good. The tip was factored into the bill so there was no trying to figure out what the tip was supposed to be. A HUGE issue for us however was the noise level. We couldn’t hear our waitress, we couldn’t hear each other and ended up with a miscommunication that resulted in one of our party not getting what they believed they had ordered.“

“Buy the slice and pizzeria and it's really good. It was recently rated by an Italian website to be the number two by the slice pizzeria in the USA. It's not listed on top 50 of by the pie though. Also, very minimal seating, so it's more like a takeout place. I'm not sure how representative the Detroit square slice is because I've never had that before but the plain slice is really good and I tried their barbecue collaboration with a local barbecue restaurant, Federalist pig...Which is also good.“

“First and foremost, be prepared to spend money if you come here. My bill was nearly $90 for just me. But, I had the best fried pickles I've ever had, a delicious chicken cordon blue grilled cheese sandwich, and many different craft brews which were all fantastic. The fruit beer in my pic is one of the best beers I've ever had. I love the self-pour, self-order system, but it's just pricey. Still, the whole experience was 5 stars for me!“

“I recently dined at Modena DC and had an overall positive experience. The food was generally good, though some dishes stood out more than others. The crispy artichokes were absolutely delicious—crispy and flavorful, definitely a highlight of the meal. The butternut squash pasta was just okay, lacking a bit of depth in flavor, but the pesto gnocchi was quite good, with a nice balance of creamy texture and vibrant pesto.

For dessert, the crème brûlée was fantastic—rich, creamy, and perfectly caramelized on top. It was definitely a great way to end the meal.

While the food was decent, I did find the prices to be a bit on the higher side for what you get. Still, it wasn’t a bad experience overall.“

“My sister lived in DC for 4 years and whenever we would visit her, we always made our way to &pizza. The pizza was always fresh and delicious with great ingredients. If you're ever in the DC area I recommend that you visit this location but if you are not in this area there are others throughout the DMV for your convenience. A great place with great environment to enjoy pizza“

“I have been to Naples and had Napolitan pizza, this is very close t the real deal. The curst and sauce is really good. However, I wish they had real mushrooms versus marinated ones. Great service and friendly staff. I definitely would recommend.“

“I don't leave many reviews, but Bozzelli's (specifically the Vermont Ave location) is worth it. I travel to DC semi-regularly, and I've been to Bozzelli's for a chicken parm sandwich and lemon cake three times...should tell you something, considering the many other food options in the area. Food's great, and service is about as friendly as I've experienced. If you're looking for something quick, affordable, and delicious around Dupont Circle, this is the place.“

The pizza is solid, though I don't find anything distinctive about New Haven style in terms of the taste or texture (seems like a normal thin crust pizza!). I like that you can order a variety of pizzas by the slice and they have ample seating inside and put. It was a lovely afternoon so we sat outside. Also, bonus points for the natural sodas they have on tap, yum. Slight deduction that they oddly don't serve their ice cream by the scoop, you have to basically buy a pint and sort it out yourself. Strange.“

“This beat some of the NY style slices I had even in New York. Just the perfect ratio of crust to sauce to toppings. Perfectly sized pepperoni cups. A gorgeous toasty feeling to the freshly heated slice. Started with 3 slices between 2 people and essentially ended up eating a whole pie. Staff are amazing, so warm and friendly. Great brews on tap and a few salads and sides on the menu to go with the pies. Can’t wait to come back“

“I liked Pizza Mart Because the owner was very nice and polite. The food was very hot and tasted AMAZING!!!!!!! I ordered the cheese bread it was enough to feed 2 people. It came with Pizza sauce and a garlic sauce for dipping. The Pizza Mart is confidentially located to other shops in the area. Only downfall we were in a pinch for time and it took a bit longer than I expected. Otherwise it was a win!“

“Restaurant was clean! Service was amazing! Queen our server was amazing! Good portions for majority of the foods. However, for the scallop dish was small and the scallops were over cooked and bland. Everyone else enjoyed their food! The drinks were amazing, the pizza appetizer bread was amazing! We were celebrating a few of
our bdays and the restaurant so generously gave us a complementary s’mores pie! Yumm! The apple pie was awesome too, so good! Loved the buttery flavor! Loved the photo opp in the basement but the bathrooms are very inconvenient to be located down there. They do have a single unisex stall upstairs but it’s not always available. I would for sure eat here again! I would just try something different.“
