Ordered some Take & Bake (at home) pizzas from Grotto Middletown. Bake at home pizzas used to come in colorful waxy commercial-style packaging, now they just come wrapped in plastic in a standard take-out pizza box. I don't know IF they have changed how the pizzas are made and packaged, but our pizzas seemed OFF this time. Called ahead and placed an order for my Junior Pizza that was loaded onto my Grotto Swirl Rewards card for my birthday. Was told that it would be like 10 minutes. Staff on the phone was SUPER friendly. Upon arrival, I went inside to find that my pizza was not ready yet. I had to wait maybe another 5 minutes. My junior was served up hot and fresh. Surprisingly good pizza. Iām from NYC and I donāt care for most pizzas, but Grotto is pretty darn good. They have thin crust, really tasty sauce.Pro tip: they sell a āhalf bakedā pie you can take home and finish off in your oven for the best to-go experience possible.
