“I actually love Ellianos and I’m pleasantly surprised that we have one in Alachua. Overall it’s a tad pricey but the service at this location has been fantastic every single time I’ve been here. Staff is always friendly and helpful and I know that whatever I’ve ordered will come out tasting delicious. This is one of my favorite places to come and get a coffee flavored treat!Vegetarian options: In my experience all of their breakfast sandwiches can be ordered sans meat upon request, which is what I always do and they’re deliciousDietary restrictions: They offer dairy-free options for coffee and lattes!“
“Lovely Queen Anne style classic teahouse. I’ve been here twice and the tea and the setting is great. Absolutely love all the unique place settings and different types of classic teacups and china that gets showcased. Highly recommend the Hummingbird cake and the chicken salad is quite good. I had a side salad with fresh greens and raspberry vinaigrette, which was very tasty. Ask for the dressing on the side, there was a pool of it on my plate that spilled over onto my sandwich. I really want to give this place a higher rating, but there’s a few fundamental things lacking for a really great teahouse. One is that the scones are not very good at all. I was hoping to find a more classic English scone selection, but these were flat and had a baking soda flavor. The other issue is, like many places, they seem to be having some staffing issues and so the service isn’t spectacular, but it wasn’t terrible. However, the owner seems to be taking this out on his staff and complaining about his staff to the customers which is unprofessional in my opinion. We were there twice in the span of three weeks, and this happened both times. It’s clear that the person who waited on us is quite new and has very little experience waiting on people, but complaining to your customers that your wait staff doesn’t know what they’re doing just makes the whole experience very uncomfortable.“
“The Wine and Pizza pairing the other night was AWESOME. Please host more it was a great event!!I am admittedly a New York pizza snob. This place passes the test with 5 stars across the board. Thank Heavens for a new restaurant choice in High Springs!!!Ambiance : 5/5Love, LOVE, love the decor throughout this place. The women’s bathroom was AMAZING. No expense spared on new pizza ovens, plenty of tables inside and out for smaller groups. Large parties might have trouble getting seated together.Food/Drink 5/5I order a Margarita pizza that was perfect. The crust was just right, sauce was not too sweet and fresh mozzarella and basil. Beautiful presentation. My wife had a build your own with pepperoni, mushroom, peppers and onions. It was outstanding. It was crisp on the bottom but light and not too thick.Only thing that would have made this better is a beer from High Springs brewery (which is right next door). This place is working on a liquor license so fingers crossed. They have a unique dessert with a clever name called the “Beeramisu” which is a spin-off on Tiramisu. The owner created the recipe and it was delicious.Service : 5/5Wonderful!! Kelly the owner brought the food to our table and checked on us a couple of times. I always think it’s pretty important for a new establishment (open about month) that the owners keep tabs on the customers. Well done Kelly. Conclusion : We live in Alachua but I will have no problems jumping in a car to ride to this place. Hopefully many, many times.Vegetarian options: Gluten Free“
“Extremely cute, hidden shop in high springs. Perfect little date spot. Been there a few times and it's always yummy, especially the shrimp salad spin- highly highly highly recommend!! The other spins are tasty but taste more like regular sandwiches. The coleslaw was DELICIOUS the first time I went so I was excited to get it again but it wasn't as good, I didn't finish it. Tried a dessert spin and it was really good but it had a lot of filling, kind of overwhelmed the dessert.“
“So lucky to have this place a few miles from my farm , I have taken visiting friends there and everyone has loved it , great ambiance , excellent beer and always a good food truck on site or just cross the street for Prohibition Pizza (another fav!)“
“What a delicious local spot to dine at!We made a very short notice reservation for four, and within two hours were accommodated thanks to a kind woman on the phone. We arrived at 4:45 and were greeted by Justice, who took great care of us throughout the experience. He recommended excellent wine pairings as well as thorough details of ingredients - to which my 3 course meal was truly perfect. It got quite busy after 5:30 and they were definitely short staffed but Justice kept being wonderful. Can't wait to be back and enjoy a rare local restaurant in Gainesville.“
“My first time trying Venezuelan cuisine! Wow! I want more! I had a chicken empanada and fried plantains. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and the sauce! OMG! and the plantains were out of this world! If you're in Gainesville, I highly recommend giving this a try! You won't be disappointed!“
“I had the pleasure of being served by Ely Brazil at Gators Den Sports Grill, and I must say, she's a true gem! Her laid-back demeanor and friendly personality added a special touch to my dining experience. Her chill vibe and positive energy made the meal even more enjoyable. If you find yourself at Gators Den Sports Grill, be sure to say hello to Ely. She's a standout member of the team who exemplifies great customer service and hospitality.“
“I've been to Cymplify Coffee hundreds of times, and it's hands-down my favorite coffee shop in town. One of the coolest things about this place is the little board they have that shows all the special concoctions their baristas come up with. I've tried a bunch, and they're all pretty amazing, but I always find myself coming back to the maple nut latte and the blackberry lavender—both are just unbeatable. They also offer some tasty baked goods, though you've got to get there early because they do run out. The ham and cheese croissants are my go-to, and they're always a hit. My kids are big fans of the wildberry smoothie, and I have to agree, it’s fantastic. The line moves quickly, too, so you’re not waiting forever to get your fix. Plus, the seating options are great; whether you choose to sit inside or out, the ambiance is just perfect for enjoying a good cup of coffee or a smoothie. It's definitely a place you can relax and enjoy the vibes.Parking: Parking at Cymplify Coffee is a bit quirky, as it's spread all around the building, but it's surprisingly straightforward and there's always a free spot. I've never had trouble finding a place to park. Sometimes, if you park on the "grass" area by the fence, it can get a bit flooded after heavy rain, but this is rarely an issue. There's usually plenty of space in the main parking lot, especially since people tend to avoid sitting outside in wet weather. Even when there are deep puddles in parts of the parking lot, it’s still easy enough to find a good parking spot.“
“Enjoyed a delicious lunch of burgers and sweet Arnold Palmers, while sitting in the screened porch with my husband. But the sweetest part was our excellent server Sam! She was cheerful, polite, professional, and wonderfully efficient…Thank you!!“
“Si no quieres extrañar esos platos típicos puertorriqueños, como el mofongo, arroz con gandules, carne frita, empanadillas caseras, entre otros, Gainesville es la respuesta. No solo el chef es carismático, sino que su comida es súper deliciosa. ¡Food Truck #1!“
“Honestly you cannot go wrong with the food here. It’s consistently good and always very tasty. I had the pesto chicken panini and my wife had the egg and cheese bagel. We both loved it! They have a fantastic pastrami sandwich too. If you want a hearty and filling meal, this place is a good choice.“
“The Flying Biscuit never disappoints! This time I tried the Dirty Bird dish and loved it! The chicken sausage gravy compliments the entire dish. The chicken tenders were juicy, and the belgian waffle was yummy. Of course, the biscuit with the apple butter is to die for. My Nephew loved his plain French toast. My Sister enjoyed her Free Bird with poached eggs. I recommend this spot if you're in Gainesville. Make sure to come early or put yourself on the waitlist - this place is always busy on the weekends.“
“The brisket and Angus burger was mouthwatering! Our waitress, Stephanie, acted like she enjoyed her job and provided great customer service.Vegetarian options: The other person in my party had the blackened tofu and she said it was delicious.“
“They offer an amazing variety of bagel and cream cheese flavors and they are all delicious! The coffee is roasted in house…. So fragrant and so good! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. They work so smoothly together even during the busiest times. Love this place!“
“El Indio Mexican Restaurant is my favorite spot for quick and tasty Mexican food! Their burritos are huge and filled with flavorful ingredients, and the salsa bar adds an extra kick to every bite. It's my go-to place when I need a satisfying meal on the go.“
“Driving from Auburn to Sarasota and was craving Mexican food. Found Cilantro Taco on our way and we could not be more thankful that we stopped there. Thank you Trey for being patient with us when we did not know what to order and thank you to the owners for all of the uplifting words. It was just what we needed at just the right time for so many reasons. See you in 3 months when we drive through again!“
“The food and the crew here are Awesome! The chicken is delicious, mouthwatering, juicy thigh meat. The crew is made up of kind and helpful people as well as the hands on and down to earth owner. I 10000% regret not choosing to eat here sooner and Will be coming back. You’re seriously missing out!“
“Stopped in for lunch & was pleasantly surprised. It was good enough we decided to order dinner as well. I got the 2 chicken family dinner with black beans, mac-N-chez, Coleslaw, and yellow rice.. We are a family of 7,(some times more)with VERY persnickity eaters... they ALL enjoyed their food! I fed 7 people for UNDER $40.00!! Service was GREAT! Food was hot & fresh! We will DEFINITELY be back!! Thank You, The Curry family.“
“Went here as I was passing through for my puppies surgery and had a few hours to kill. It is dog friendly and the gave bowls for water for them. I got the One Love Club and Cowboy beans. Both were good. I also special requested the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade. It is such a relaxing place to just hang out at. I was able to sit with my tablet and snack for about an hour or so before his surgery. Staff was really friendly and there was no rush to go anywhere. I was I was able to experience the live music, but I had to fly back out the same day. I would definitely be back when I’m in the area. Just check the hours on their menu as they do close between lunch and dinner. It is an open restaurant, no indoor seating, but there were also no bugs, which was lovely!! I was just happy to find a place that I could take my dog and not be rushed.“
“Cool looking place, mini golf on sight, they have an outside patio area that you can eat on and there is a fire pit in the middle of each table. What we ate was ok. I had the Flamingo Club. It was really good, boys and hubby had burgers. They said it was juicy but too salty. We shared delicious crispy fries. Service with a smile. We even too a picture with Elvis. Lol“
“Best burger ever!!! quality, beef, caramelized, onions, thick, delicious, glazed bacon, quality all the way from the bun to the beef! Fresh crispy, lettuce, ripe tomatoes, this burger had it all going on!! Then there was the chicken wrap stuffed with grilled chicken loaded with chopped bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, delicious sauce, and the fries that were herb seasoned came out hot and crispy! Local Provisions has it all; comfortable seating inside and outdoor seating. Full Bar, cannot wait to try it for dinner! Our waitress Emily is the best all the way around server. She was knowledgeable about the menu and best service ever! I can't say enough about this place so glad we found it !“
