“I was told it's a great little place to stop at the center there in pine Island and so we did before we went to go fishing I love tacos but it was a little windy that day so I had to make sure my ingredients didn't blow away at the tables LOL but it was very good!”
“What brings us back to this place over and over again is the views! SWFL charm through and through! The food is always fantastic and very consistent. I ordered the shrimp and grits this time with the blue crab and corn chowder soup as a side. This chowder is FANTASTIC! I could hardly share with my husband it was so good, sweet and so savory. Forget the cup, go with the bowl! It’s he shrimp and grits were so good I forgot to take pictures. Just cheesy enough to not over power the shrimp flavor. High five to the chef. The food is more pricy, however you know it’s going to be good and consistent so it’s worth it. The staff is extremely professional and patient. This is a restaurant for a romantic date or a celebration. I’ve also gone here for a wedding! Yes it’s that beautiful! Totally recommend a sunset timeframe as you can see from the pictures.Parking: We were able to find a spot but have struggled in the past. However this time they had a parking lot monitor so maybe that’s the difference.”
“When you get to the Lodge it feels like old Florida. The staff is awesome, rooms are clean, and it's quiet.Food & drinks: The restaurant is run perfect and the food to die for.”
“Everything I've had is excellent, but The Floridian omelet is next level amazing! Succulent seafood, perfectly cooked eggs with cheese and hollandaise sauce. Every bite is heaven!”
“We stayed with my wife's Gramma on pine Island and went to this pizza shop. It was delectable! Absolutely delicious, best pizza we've ever had! Definitely, 10/10 recommend!”
“One of multiple restaurants, and we love all of them. Conch fritters are amazing. I only wish the bills attached to the walls with hate messages were removed. I fully respect everyone's viewpoints, but don't respect the hate. Looking forward to visiting again ”
“Great little lasting piece of old Florida. The grouper sandwich was great. Bokeelia being our new home base we are looking forward to frequenting this spot!Parking: Located at the marina plenty of parking”
“This restaurant is an interesting Fusion of Florida 80s style architecture along with Classy dining. It is quite interesting and quite well done. The food is fantastic. The stakes are amazing and the pizza is unique and absolutely delicious. Is place has transitioned into something that's really neat and I hope it continues to be successfulKid-friendliness: Restaurant has an area Outdoors where kids can run around.”
“Very nice, busy with takeout, but still nice and quiet on porch and deck! Many fancy pastries to tantalize you. Egg and cheese croissant was fantastic. Very friendly ,We will be back !”
“A good place to have lunch in Matlacha. It can be a little hit or miss with the quality varying between good and very good. If the weather is nice it's fantastic to eat on their outside deck. There's a decent amount of parking at the restaurant but on a busy day it can be a challenge to find a place to park.Update 5 years later (original review 2018): Still an excellent choice for lunch or dinner if you're visiting Matlacha or Pine Island (or just want to drive over from Cape Coral or Ft. Myer). If you've never had mullet before, try their Mullet Sampler Platter. You'll be amazed. It's listed as a "Starter" on the menu but it's enough to be an entree, and every bite of it is delicious: smoked mullet dip, blackened mullet (incredible), and fried mullet.”
“THE BEST frozen dessert place. We were visiting the area and called into the Frozen Flip Flop on a Monday, they were closed. But the owner was dropping something off and invited us in and served us anyway. What a lovely person, gorgeous froyo and a great array of toppings. Go here, you won't regret it.”
“Perfectly cooked huge piece (8 oz) of cod with the thinnest dusting of batter. Friendly waitress. Quiet location. It's hard to see from the road as there is no large sign. But it is on the south end of the plaza. Well worth the trip. We will be back soon.”
“We love going to The Perfect Cup so much, we took our new neighbor there for brunch today. Catherine was our server today. We’ve had her as a server many times before. Catherine is a nice young woman, always smiling. She’s very good at her job. I always recommend The Perfect Cup to people looking for a new place to check out for casual lunch/brunch. Excellent food, fabulous coffee. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“We had a nice lunch today. In recognition of my recent birthday, I was given a free burger. Also ordered a salad with bleu chicken. Food was really good, and Ellen did a great job as our server.”
“Lovely atmosphere right on the water, inlet. Indoor and outdoor seating. Get there early for preference of seating. Great food. Great service. Cheeseburger was delicious and perfectly sized and cooked. French fries too crispy for my taste.”
“Went in bar one afternoon because it looked very edgy. What a find. Very old Florida with a neat history. Tried to make a reservation but they would booked. Called the next day and had a cancellation for dinner. Best in Boca. The environment is beautiful and food and service is superior. If you are in the area and can get in don’t miss”
“I visited this location while on vacay and the owners and staff were absolutely fabulous! My acai bowl had a lot of vibrant, natural flavors that didn't leave an artificial or sugary aftertaste. Really wish I had one near me!”
“5 stars all around! Pete the chef shows off his many years of culinary experience with his ever changing creations.... Meals that taste delicious and are beautifully presented. Shawnda and Alexis make sure everyone has what they need and their bubbly personalities add to the charm. You can sit inside or outside and enjoy the view.”
“The Italian cuisine I experienced recently was truly exceptional, surpassing any I have had in many years. The quality of the food and the attentiveness of the service were both outstanding.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly”
“First glance its very cute. When you walk inside it is very small. There were about 15 options for ice cream and many more smoothie, sundae and milkshake options. The shop, along with all the other stores, closed at 6. It should be open much later especially during spring break. I say this because it was very busy and if it were open later it would have so much more business. Needless to say it was a great experience and great ice cream. Was it worth $20 for a waffle cone and sundae. No. But I believe a 4 star us fair for an honest business with hard working employees.”
“When we got there, there wasn't much parking. Which I understand for a small town local business that got hit by the hurricane ? and is trying to rebuild as well as possible. But, there were many bees, no air conditioning, and an "eh" vibe to it. ?. 3 of us got the pulled pork. It was quite dry and in clumps. But, still great tasting. The potato salad was amazing ?! The beans..... Were interesting....Tasting.....A bit spicy And thick....But good ??.....We got there and the entrance was through back which had many wasps flying around. We had to walk through the whole building through the back just to get to the register, where you order and pay at the same place/time. The whole building had a very interesting vibe......it was quite expensive as well. For 3 pulled pork sandwiches ? (each with a side), a brisket sandwich ?, a meal of brisket with a side, 2 beers, and 2 waters, it was $91.85!!!”
“We had no idea of what to expect. We randomly found it via Google. The food was all incredible. The service was fabulous and the atmosphere was family friendly. We look forward to going back. The sushi rolls were great.”
“So, I ran in just two minutes before closing time as the door was unlocked. As I expected, things were shut down and the staff was ready to go home. But, they were kind and gracious and scooped my single scoop of cappuccino chip. The ice cream was great and the kindness of the staff made for a good experience.”
“Stemer re fresh n th broth is fabulous. Grouper sandwich is a favorite. Miss the oysters...but everything was wonderful!...and lemon drop martini is the best !”
“On a scale from 1 to 10, the turkey club is an 11! I would share a photo but the thing disappeared right before my eyes! Kind and quick service as always. Thanks!”
“Absolutely wonderful food! The steak tacos and the pork tamales are fantastic! Guacamole also was great! Every trip to Boca Grande requires a visit to Tortuga’s!”
“Accessible only by boat, Cabbage Key is a nice destination to spend a few hours to a few days. It's a popular place to be on the weekends. The restaurant has a great story with the dollar bills tacked all over the walls and ceiling. They just recently opened up the ice cream store. The toasted coconut is DELICIOUS!”
“The finest Chicago Dog I've had here in SWFL! Great flavor! This dog is pure perfection! And they use quality hot dogs that give that classic snap when you bite them! Delicious!!!”
“This is where the locals eat on Pine Island. Good food at reasonable prices. Daily specials with a good beverage selection. Save room for dessert! Florida at it's friendly best.”
