“We went for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had the crab cake meal with smashed potatoes and asparagus. My husband had the mahi mahi with macaroni and cheese and hush puppies. My daughter had the grilled shrimp with smashed potatoes and macaroni. All of it was very fresh, seasoned, and delicious. The decor is so cool and unique, and the waiter was so kind and patient. My daughter asked if we can go back tomorrow. Definitely seems like a hidden gem.”

The starlight diner delivers a good tasting chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and a side salad. All of which was great! I got the iced tea split half and half sweetened and unsweetened. The staff was super friendly and quick as usual.”

“I made reservations for my 2 adult men to celebrate their birthdays together and this is what my oldest has to say:The food was absolutely outstanding; we got the bone-in filet with a cabernet-shallot sauce and a side of millionaire potatoes. The steak was perfectly cooked, and everything was presented with care. The smoked old-fashioned literally came in its own smoke-filled glass case! Looking at the ocean and the slowly dimming sky while having our meal was an amazing atmosphere for a nice dinner. My only complaint was with the timeliness of service. There were multiple occasions during our meal where we would be waiting on service for upwards of 10 minutes, which was especially awkward when we had finished our meals and sat with empty plates. You would think that having a team of two service your table would prevent this. Despite this minor complaint, both of our servers were incredibly friendly and accommodating to our meal alterations and requests.”

“My husband and I came to try the famous Kale Cafe today and we were very pleased. I never knew cabbage can have so much flavor and the smoothie was incredible. “Boy oh boy let me tell you what, this place is absolutely amazing! My two sons and I decided to have dinner at the Tanger location. We ordered the Philly and order of honey bbq wings and a lazy boy potato. Everything was spot on the food was phenomenal! when we first got there I had a lot of questions being the first time stepping foot into the establishment and Dominique was very willing to answer any question I had and was absolutely the sweetest lady I have met in a long time. Very clean and great music and great atmosphere! Keep up the good work guys we will definitely be back and recommend you to everyone.”

“A family run steamed seafood stand. You make your order and leave - “come back in 15 minutes”. Thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp with corn potatoes and two boiled eggs. Seasoned nicely. For a boy from Louisiana who travels with his seasoning I did add some spice. But food was hot, seasoned well and tasty. I will go again, next time I’m in Daytona. More than I could eat. All for $19.00. A great value too! Minus you have to take out. No eating on premises. So I went to the park and had a beer.”

“After doing my research on a good seafood restaurant here in Daytona, considering I’m visiting. This one popped up… Oh, my God is delicious! And our server, Angela, y’all let me tell you she’s amazing! We stood waiting for someone to greet us, and nobody came, Angela walked by, and acknowledged us immediately, and she was already with a big party, and they were closing at about an hour so I just had to have her. She was an attentive, make sure my food was perfect, and it was! Oh yes, I have my seven-year-old granddaughter with me who is very hard to please sometimes and she was even really happy with the seafood and the service. Angela made it a great experience, and I was really glad that the seafood was as good too. Will probably go and eat there one more time before we go home .”

You get outstanding service by the wait staff. My only issue is nobody smiles or laughs . Everyone is so serious. Maybe because it's an expensive place to dine? “My husband and I went here last weekend to grab a late lunch. It was right across from our hotel and we didn’t have to drive. From the second we walked in the door, Sheila had us crying laughing. It was the best welcome to a restaurant I’ve had in, well, I can’t even remember when. She was also our server and she was so amazing that I made a point to let her know how much she made our weekend just by being so kind and funny. The service was great and the food was perfect. If I lived in Daytona, I’d be eating here all the time. Kudos to everyone there for making it such a great experience for us. It’s refreshing in this day and age to find a place where people are kind and really just care about being there.”

Normally the service and atmosphere are good, but the food this time had several problems, to the point we asked for a refund on some of it. It was also one of our birthdays today and they did a quieter happy birthday song (something we were grateful for). There were a few other things which contributed to this experience ending on a good note, the most notable being our server, Marcos. He was very easy to cooperate with and made the atmosphere a funny and lighthearted experience for us.-from some (semi) regulars ?”

“Usual I would say steak and shake is a home run. But it's hit or miss for me. Last time I went I order the friso melt and when I unwrapped it it was a orange MESS!!! I used about 6 napkins trying to clean up the sause that was everywhere before I just gave up and threw it away. It looked like it was thrown together with no care at all. And our server, Angela, y’all let me tell you she’s amazing! We stood waiting for someone to greet us, and nobody came, Angela walked by, and acknowledged us immediately, and she was already with a big party, and they were closing at about an hour so I just had to have her. She was an attentive, make sure my food was perfect, and it was! Oh yes, I have my seven-year-old granddaughter with me who is very hard to please sometimes and she was even really happy with the seafood and the service. Angela made it a great experience, and I was really glad that the seafood was as good too. Will probably go and eat there one more time before we go home .”
“A first visit for me . Food presentation and desert presentation are perfectly executed . However, the pasta dishes to me are very small portions, but delicious.Large wine list as well. You get outstanding service by the wait staff. My only issue is nobody smiles or laughs . Everyone is so serious. Maybe because it's an expensive place to dine? “We came here for Lunch July 31st 2021. I have never been to this Chili's before and I really liked it very nice modern and the staff was very very friendly. We had the Blueberry margarita which was outstanding! And of course always buy one get one. Chef Brandon made everything from scratch - roasted Turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts. He even made homemade Pumpkin cheesecake for dessert. Generous portions of everything for a very fair price. One person in our party was a vegetarian, and was able to order from the regular menu. Collin was our server, and did a fantastic job.
