“Been many times over the years. Overall, I give it a high rating. Food is good. Most recently had the Blackened Black Grouper. FANTASTIC!!!! My only complaint is the service at the outside bar. The bartenders are completely oblivious to a new customer’s presence every single time I’ve been there. I literally had to wave my arms around to be seen and waited on after having been walked by multiple times by all the bartenders. I believe the older gal who has been here for years is Annette. I think she hates her job. Unfriendly. Never smiles. Not one kind word until it came time to fill the out the credit card slip and leave a tip. I tip generously, usually 30%. I have a really hard time doing so when I’m clearly not even somewhat a priority. Disappointing for sure.I hope she’s able to find some joy somewhere. Perhaps it will improve her demeanor while at work.“
“Dockside waterfront grill is located. Right on the water, excellent view of all the boats. We had a party of 4, We ordered the red snapper , shrimp dinner, scallop dinner, and chicken parmesan. Food and service were very good. Definitely a place to visit.“
“This is a very nice High end Restaurant on Sarasota Bay and Siesta Key. Atmosphere was phenomenal. Somehow we ended up with a premier table on the edge of the water overlooking the Bay, with the giant fish entertaining us at the Fish lights. The service was very good, we always felt attended to. The Quality of food and drinks was excellent, we were extremely satisfied with our meal.Would highly recommend for a high end restaurant experience.Parking: Parking lot is Valet only.“
“After being let down by the "local" places on Siesta Key, we were recommended to this place by some locals and it was our best meal of the entire trip!! Mike the manager was absolutely awesome. Our server Olivia was unmatched and should be promoted immediately. She made our awesome food experience 10x better with her awesome service experience! We did not have a single disappointing thing with our meal and all 6 of us will be back every year during spring break!“
“The food was excellent. Fast, courteous service. Everything was served on time and well presented. The clam chowder and seafood bisque were fantastic. The smoke salmon plate was enough for my wife and I. Also, beautifully presented. We're definitely coming back. Oysters Rockefeller came with a hollandaise sauce. I was initially taken aback by this. I've never seen it before, but WOW, they were delicious. The view from the upstairs dining room was gorgeous and relaxing. Try it! You'll have a great time.“
“We love the local vib, great view, and typical grub. Like most, it gets very busy on weekends. The sunsets are, dare I say, spectacular. But all sunsets on the gulf are awesome. Live local musical artists add to the fun. Anyhow, go early, go late, just go.“
“Really enjoyed our visit here. Everyone loved the food! The atmosphere is really lively and fun, it's right on the water and has a sandy beach area outside the bar where you can hang out and relax. Only reason I gave it 4 stars for atmosphere is its more of a fun, lively, hootin' and hollerin' type atmosphere where there's loud music and people getting a little crazy. Which is great if that's what you are looking for. We were looking for more of a low key chill atmosphere. But we'll be back again to have fun and cut loose.“
“Snook Haven was recommended by a friend, so we decided to give it a try. This is definitely a hidden location off the beaten path while driving in. We even saw a Bobcat. The restaurant nestled way back in the woods on the Myakka River. What an awesome location , You have 2 options. You can eat inside and be served or order your meal and sit outside by live music, We ordered the cat fish dinner with homemade chips, 2 sides option, and collard greens and a smash cheese burger with home made chips and a side salid , Thay have a homemade tomato relish that is unreal, our server Katie D. Was very friendly and informative. One thing I did notice is the whole staff is working with a smile , definitely a hidden jem a must visit. I forgot to mention. We also ordered the peach cobbler and a monster size brownie.“
“My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at Lucarellis recently. Everything was perfect...our waiter, Hunter, was personable, knowledgeable, and provided excellent service. I appreciated the pacing of our meal. We did not feel rushed as had been the case at another "highly rated" Italian eatery in downtown Venice the other night. We both enjoyed our Ceasar salads and entrees. My husband's seafood dish was delicious; my lasagna with meatball was fantastic. Generous portion of gelato and biscotti capped off a great meal. All in all a very enjoyable and relaxing dining experience!“
“We're at Royal Coachman RV Resort and we like to support the food trucks that come here, and tonight (Feb 21st) was the Maine Line's turn. We were not disappointed, not at all. We had the 16 oz serving of Clam Chowdah and enjoyed it. We know our chowders and, while this had its own characteristics, it was still excellent in flavour. Our only criticism was that it had a lot of potatoes versus clams, but the flavour was still there. Our next dishes were Mom's Lobster Roll. The amount of lobster was generous (the menu says 4 oz) and it was claw meat. We loved it. The mayo was sort of dabbed on top. One part of me says I would have preferred the lobster meat to be chopped up and mixed with the mayo - even if it loses something in its presentation. The other part of me says I had it as it was served and I really enjoyed it, so leave it alone.Small oversight. My lobster roll was missing its coleslaw, an oversight that can happen to anyone at any time. On the other hand, my wife's roll included the coleslaw, which she enjoyed. However, the serving was puny. Our suggestion, do away with the potato chips and increase the amount of coleslaw to 6-8 oz.You make the coleslaw whereas you buy the chips. Such a change would be better for you.All told - 10/10 stars!“
“I had seafood chowder which was piping hot and tasty and the crab fritters were more like delicious crab cakes. It sits right on the water and has outdoor seating as well. It is always busy so be prepared for some wait time if you at prime dinner hour.“
“I am from the Tampa Bay Area, in March 2024 I came to visit my Aunt and Uncle who were vacationing in Venice Beach. We decided to eat pizza and stopped by this cute pizzeria on the strip. We ordered a huge vegetarian pizza…my goodness, I have never had a pizza like this in my life…I am sure I will be taking a 2 hour trip soon to just to get this pizza!!!“
“Food was great although I would've expected a little better quality of the salad. Grouper was fantastic. Cocktails were made very very good. I loved everything about the place but a little pricey. Venice area with Miami South Beach prices. Would still recommend a visit. Nice place. Nice people. ?“
“Twelve of us went for dinner and it was a great experience. One thing !We changed our arrival time a couple of days early when it was discovered that they had a Early Bird menu. It was a very good deal!We had one server, but she had a couple of helpers. They we're good, but she was awesome. I hope the restaurant realizes what a gem they had.?“
“Friendly staff. Greeted immediately and with a smile! Sat us outside so we could enjoy the live music as well as our meal. My wife had the Grilled Peach Salad and I had the Grilled Shrimp. Delicious on both counts! Definitely recommend this place. Will eat here next time we visit the area.“
“When I first talked in I didn't have high hopes for this place. You wait outside but you can't eat outside. Food is fried but you get huge portions. It's very good if you like fried seafood. We thought it was great and I'm giving it 5 stars. The atmosphere is just ok but come for the food. Service was good too. Did I say you get a huge amount of food? No charge to split plates.“
“The best place to go in venice!!! I love their fish dip and sauce you can get Togo. Everything is what's fresh and if you want a drink with the best outside atmosphere they have entire outside tiki bar with live music!! ? ?Parking: Parking can be a little tough during busy times. We always make a reservation online and never have an issue finding parking“
“Local fixture of South Sarasota. Busy even on weeknights during season especially. They do take reservations but only by phone. Lots of parking is convenient right off of 41. The duck wings are delicious. Everything else seems solid that we tried. The Caesar salad was crunchy with the classic style dressing and anchovies available on the side.Vegetarian options: There was eggplant Parmesan on the menu although we didn’t try it“
“A wonderful Italian restaurant that you can sit down or take out. Both are equally great. Grad a slice or sit down for a solid Italian meal. Options can be limited but that makes the atmosphere more authentic. A good drink menu and a very good desert offering. If you live near this place and you don’t know about it you are in the minority.“
“Wow! So delicious. This was our first time at the amazing restaurant. The food was great. The decor is so wonderful to look at .our Server, Jaidin was our server. He was so sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and more.I was a server for years until 6 years ago and I will say he is an excellent and price server. Jaidin is the epitome of what I would want my server to be.He definitely respects that restaurant well.Thank you, Jaidin for your excellent service, kindness and sweetness. It’s rare you see that nowadays so we are thankful he was our server today.“
“Good for pub/bar food and the beer was cold! I'm always a little disappointed when I can't have something because they cross contaminate their friars. The onion rings look good at the other table but can't have it It's fried! Booo. (Seafood allergy) But in short I'm glad we stopped in for lunch on the way home!“
“The hostess, she said to call her The German, went out of her way to accommodate us and was extraordinarily sweet. Service was very good.Food was very good. We specifically came because my God Daughter wanted Beef Wellington. The dish was cooked well and had great flavor.French Onion soup was very good as well.“
“Thankfully I’m not a local because I would be here multiple times a week. I love the atmosphere out on the back deck. It’s beautiful and the place was packed but regardless the service was fast and friendly. The food was amazing and the mixed drinks are dreamy. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for the large portions of wonderfully fresh seafood. You get bread at the start of the meal as well. I could eat here every day.Parking: Large parking lot with plenty of parking.“
“Carrabba's offers a take home entry of equal or less value for$10.00 when you dine in. Was disappointed that we couldn't get the entry we wanted because it was 50 cents more. Would have ordered the more expensive one for dine in if we realized they had this offer. Lesson learned. But food and service was very good.“
“Wonderful atmosphere on the water and just what you'd think for casual waterside restaurant. Our server, Jen, was top-notch. While my crabcakes were light on the crabmeat, the almond-crusted red snapper was delicious, as was the coconut shrimp and hamburger. Something for everyone and reasonably priced cocktails.“
“The food was excellent. We had the ny strip, prime Rib and teriyaki sirloin. However the server was the most disappointing one we have ever had there. Our drinks came out wrong, half spilled on me when delivered, making a puddle on.the floor that we had to request a clean up for. We were never served water, we didn't get a choice of salad type, one of entrées was supposed to come with a loaded Hasselback, but we received a plain baked potato. We had asked early on for wine to be served with dinner. Took us halfway through the meal to get them, a promise to bring a soda refill right away took 15 min. We love this place and the food, but this server was rushed and not organized“
“We stopped here when we were at the Christmas celebration in Wellen Park. My husband and I shared a fish fry. It was big enough for both of us! Pricing was decent and the food was good. Menu is pretty good for being more of a "pop-up" location (it's made from a 20' shipping container-pretty cool!)“
“Had a really nice dinner from here. There are some reviews below complaining about the meat, but it was really good to me. The food was flavorful, and the orange chicken was made with white meat. My wife had kung pao chicken which she enjoyed and we also shared steamed dumplings which were delicious. My wife and I are from out of town, but when we return we will absolutely be eating here again. The prices are also good. Highly recommend.“
“This place is always packed and now I knowWhy small inside huge potions very good food excellent waitress from the Bronx it’s the real deal good Chianti too had the shrimp scampi on pasta was lemony and garlicky light scrumptious and the shrimp cooked perfectly very fresh my friend ordered the eggplant parm that was Mike high layers crispy and cheesy mouthwatering goodness with spaghetti enough for a small county Dinners come with soup or salad and fresh baked bread I of course had to have dessert a Hazelnut tiramisu no espresso just light creamy nutty flavors I loved it Excellent service and cuisineMy only complaint would be the lightning was so bright and spotlights right on you ! And no music“
“Our favorite spot! We come for burger night every Wednesday. They always have live music, a great wait staff, and the food is really good (just avoid the salty Mexican food). Highly recommend you DON'T check it out, because they are already too popular! Lol.“
“Went to Pinchers with close friends for dinner to celebrate good or should I say Grear news from my doctor. As we were toasting each other for the great news our waitress Erica overheard us and asked what we were celebrating and I informed her I had received great news about a medical condition and she said congratulations. After we finished Erica came over and said she had talked to her bosses and they said desert was on her and her boss we said we were full and she said we can have it to go we said ok, the next thing that happened was Erica’s boss Antonio came over and said in todays world you don’t hear a lot of good things and he thanked us for coming in and said my dinner was on him. I couldn’t thank him enough. It brought a tear to my eye, who does that? I want to thank Erica and Antonio for their generosity and thoughtfulness. We go into Pinchers a couple of times a month and always get great service and the food is always fresh and tasty. The fresh cut fries are second to none. Once again thank you to Erica and Antonio.Ron Bulvanoski“
“I had lunch there one time and it happens to this salad on special, I believe it fanzo salmon salad with mango salsa it was so delicious! So i went back is not on the menu anymore! Then i ask the waitress about it if they will have it on regular menu, and she said it’s possible. Because there’s a lot of people asking for it she said. I called today and still dont have it on the menu.“
“Food was Amazing, Drinks was of course far beyond expectations and level of service is hard to come by today…which makes the daiquiri bar the best restaurant in Venice. Our waitress Zoe by far breaks records in every single category. She raises the bar on every level possible. Her high quality of customer service, knowledge, professionalism and problem solving skills are top notch. Zoe makes you give this restaurant a 5-star review every time.Thank you for taking care of my family and I and we definitely recommend this place to everyone visiting Venice and visiting Florida. Give her a raise and she is definitely the MVP of your team.“
“I have dined in, and had take-out from this establishment and in short, "This is the best Asian restaurant within 20 miles!!! Regardless of price!!" Try the steamed dumplings, if nothing else! The flavor and textures are exquisite. It's definitely a treat!!“
