“Michael's on East (MOE) is one of the best fine dining establishments in Sarasota and has been in business for nearly 40 years. Ive been a customer for nearly 30 of those 40 years and despite its maturity, MOE is still hot, hopping and a crowd pleaser for those who enjoy great food, wines and service. During its nearly four decades, MOE has been wowing patrons with its fine cuisine, decor, and outstanding service. Don't be surprised if you see actors, comedians and musicians who might be performing at the Van Wezel during the winter season, sitting next to you because the concierge at their hotel recommended MOE as one of the desirable restaurants for a sensational meal, wine and service. MOE is rich in Sarasota heritage and is the perfect choice to celebrate a special occasion with that very special guest or guests. It's a delight in every way.“
“Amazing service and amazing food. The home made pasta and the other dishes were light and enjoyable to have. Reasonably priced too. Was surprised that it was at that price point after the meal with how high quality it was.Parking: Lots of parking.“
“Updated 3/30/24 with more photos. We visited my parents in Sarasota and this was our first time at Seasons 52. We loved it! The atmosphere was awesome, the food was great!I love their scallops, they are just perfect along with the risotto. On a more recent visit 3/24/24) they had asparagus with the Scallops instead of the broccoli. My parents love the Salmond salad, but my dad commented that on our most recent trip (3/24/24) that the salmon was a little dry. From 3/24/24, my husband said the lamb was good but a little chewy, he had to chew a lot. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot on either side of the mall.Parking: The Sarasota restaurant is located in a shopping mall, so there’s lots of free parking.“
“One of the most delicious and comforting meals I’ve ever had. Everything was made fresh, including the pasta, and the attention to detail, love and care put into the food showed through every bite. The owner was so accommodating even though we called for a last minute reservation and was so welcoming from the second we walked into the door. You can tell this is his life’s passion and he truly wants to share the food from his region of Italy with everyone who walks through the doors. It was a fantastic meal and experience, and we will be back. Without question, the best Italian spot in the area.“
“We have had the most wonderful experiences at Veronica’s. The food is always delectable, and the service always impeccable. The interior has a gorgeous, art-nouveau/Victorian inspired design, which is a pretty cool place on its own merit to eat delicious seafood in. But the food supersedes even the design—we particularly are fans of the little eyedroppers of special sauce for the oysters (better for microdosing the flavor with, my dear)! Finally, a note about the service—we have been lucky enough to have the wonderful Rebecca as our server multiple times. She remembers our family each year and provides the kindest, most impeccable service…outdoing herself each time. She is the highlight of every visit and we can’t wait to be back next time!“
“Absolutely love this place! Whether it's for a happy hour with friends or a sumptuous meal, it never disappoints. The upscale ambiance and the exceptional staff elevate the experience. From well made drinks to delectable dishes and the company of amazing people, it truly offers everything you could wish for and more.Parking: It is in a strip center in Gulf Gate with plenty of parking.“
“I had a great experience at Royal Peacock restaurant! The food was delicious and I will definitely be back. I highly recommend trying the beef Samosa, paneer, and goat special. The fried dough in sugar dessert was also amazing. Can't wait to visit again!“
“This is ALWAYS a favorite! You can’t beat the food, and the service is AMAZING! We had a bit of a wait tonight. However: 1) It was worth the wait. And 2) the staff was very kind during our wait. In fact, they were bringing complimentary hush puppies out for everyone waiting. This place is one of those places in Sarasota that you absolutely cannot miss!“
“I gave Shore 4 stars for not for the food but for the atmosphere. It's a sexy cool spot in heart of St. Armand's Circle. The staff was friendly. We went at 2pm thinking we'd missed the lunch crowd. The place was still packed. We only had to wait 15-20 minutes though. Drinks were great, had the Bee Keeper, Barrel Aged Cocktail and Espresso Martini. Started with the Crispy Bao Buns. I got the Tuna Tartare as my entree, hubs had the Faroe Island Salmon, you can see by his empty plate (forgot to take a before pic) that he enjoyed it. The tuna tartare was fresh and light. I feel there is "always something" good, bad or indifferent when dining out. My "always something" for Shore was the crispy bao buns. I know it says it in the name but I think one of the great thing about bao buns is the pillowy goodness and these crispy ones just missed the mark for me. All in all Shore is a great place to go grab a bite while shopping St. Armands Circle.“
“Make a reservation, this place is busy. We went later on a Sunday night and still had a to wait. The food was excellent! I got the sesame tuna with baby bok choy and was not disappointed. The tuna "melted" in my mouth and everything is was seasoned to perfection. We took a gamble at a place we've never been and it was worth it.To be fair the place is beautiful inside. I really would like you to know that the inside seating is rather "intimate" with others around you. Our table was unusually close to the tables next to us. I imagine the reason for this is to maximize the amount of people who they can provide service to at the same time. One can't help but overhear conversations at the table next to them, and be sure that they hear yours.“
“sadly driving by yesterday sign on door says permantely closed peeked inside and it looks cleaned outfrom the siesta sandLeases not renewed by 2 businesses in VillageThe Seafood Joint, located at 217 Avenida Madera, and the neighboring Sub Zero Nitrogen Ice Cream, located at 219 Avenida Madera, have permanently closed their doors.Neither have had their leases renewed effective Sept. 1 and did not pursue other leasing options, according to the Davidson family — landlords for the building that houses the two businesses.“
“My uncle Tim recommended that my family and I check Spearfish out. We spent a long weekend in Siesta Key and this was by far the best food we had! It wasn’t “touristy” like a lot of other places nearby - it was just GOOD. The food Eric cooked on the green egg was some of the best I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back.“
“They have a 5 star team and work together flawlessly. Not one employee passed by our table without stopping if it looked like something needed cleared. Fred (our waiter) was quirky, kind, and delightful! Best waiter we had all week! The food was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. 3rd round of mussels this week at other restaurants and Clayton’s was by far the BEST. The Clayton salad is light and the dressing is tasty. The butter they serve with the bread is different than any I’ve tasted and I could eat it with a spoon. The crab cakes were excellent and seared to perfection. The scallops melt in your mouth. We WILL be back.“
“Their Food and Wine are FANTASTIC!!! Service and Recommendations were Spot On. Highly Recommend this Restaurant. Family owned where the parents are the Chefs and their Sons are the Waiters, been serving Sarasota Successfully for over 10 years.“
“First time here.. crab cakes are amazing! Perfectly cooked slightly crispy outside and tender and butter inside. The lobster roll was one of the best I've ever had! Will definitely be back here. I can't believe I've passed this place up so many times!“
“We celebrated my wife's 70th last night. When we arrived the tablecloth was glowing with little bright multicolored stars and circles. Sean, our sever, was amazing, genuinely friendly, genuinely representing the best menu choices, just so tuned into what we might enjoy. The French onion soup was excellent and in some mystical way the bread has the occasional crunch even though it was submerged in the broth. The South African lobster tails were sweet and tender, and frankly better than the best possible New England lobster. The sliced filet with onion, mushrooms and "fig essence" was perfect. Dessert was on the house for the birthday girl and it too was excellent.“
“WOW! We went last night while in town for a soccer tournament in Tampa.. Drove out to Sarasota to visit family and my cousin suggested here... and WOW the food was AMAZING! The service was FANTASTIC. The atmosphere was even better. This place is a must while in town!“
“We received impeccable service from Miguel, our waiter, at Carrabba's. The culinary experience was exceptional; the penne pasta was simply divine, and our order was executed flawlessly. Without a doubt, we'll be returning and wholeheartedly recommending this restaurant to anyone in search of a delightful Italian dining experience. Our sincere gratitude to Carrabba's, and a special thank you to Miguel for his outstanding service.“
“Great Happy Hour If you can score a seat at the bar or at a table in the bar area and it’s before 5:45pm, you can get a great deal. Drinks, including their house cocktails and most of their wines, are half off. There’s a nice list of small plates at excellent prices that are also available. We started with a couple of good cocktails. Then we shared the delicious happy hour fried shrimp. We followed that with the happy hour mussels—one of the best bowl of mussels I’ve had in a while. It was served with a basket of bread that was perfect to sop up the lovely mussel broth. Next we had the happy hour ceviche which was a generous serving and really tasty. We moved off the happy hour menu to get the Monkfish, which is discounted in the early evening. You don’t see monkfish on menus very often, and this one was very good. It comes with a soup or salad and we chose the delicious clam chowder. The plate it nicely composed with a starch and veg accompanying the monkfish. A shout out to our server, Barbara, who was very kind, helpful and efficient and moved us along at a pleasant, unrushed pace. We enjoyed our dinner very much and we hope to return.“
“Great Food! Great Prices! Will Always Support Local!!We were Thanked for Stopping By!! Let's just say when you are licking your fingers and making toast to get all the Juice and Butter!! Yum!! We had the Lobster Tail and 2 sides!! Definitely Going Back!!“
“Possibly our favorite Sarasota restaurant. Excellent food, good service, and a wine list that is not only serviceable but significantly under-priced. We go to Antoine’s 3 times a year or so, and every time we say that we should go more often. First visit was in 2015 or so.“
“We have visited this establishment several times, both to eat and also to purchase seafood. After our visit for lunch today (and to purchase jumbo lump), I want to take the time to give them a review. The food is always awesome. It does not matter what you order. We had the Ahi Tuna and Crabcake appetizer today and they were perfect. I had the Crabby BLT (possibly the best sandwich I have ever had) and my wife had the Blackened Mahi Tacos (which I had a bit of). They were also perfect. If you love fresh seafood prepared perfectly, then look no further. Thanks Devon and family!“
“How does this place only have a 4.1 out of 5 rating, 4.8 MINIMUM!!! We come here three to four times a year every time we come on vacation in Sarasota and I’ve never had more of a consistently perfect meal anywhere. Prime rib is literally perfection. Professional waitstaff and excellent bartenders. Manager has always right before your meal has finished stopped at the table to make sure you’re happy. A+“
“Wonderful food !Nice people. Bibimbap Awesomely authentic! #39.The Real deal.Very popular. Beef bulgogi wonderful. Saw a Korean girl eating it and knew I should try it.Pork and vegetable dumplings and dipping sauce very good.Lol, trendy Kojo tries to do this dish. Cannot compare. They shovel the hot rice right out of metal bowl asap into cold bowls. Ruining theCulinary dining experience. Flavors not bad. V Overpriced and precious at Kojo. Here you enjoy eating it , hot, in the metal bowl , real and down to earth at Shilla. The diverse flavors , beef bulgogi and crunchy rice crust are so delicious. Omg, Mom chef brings it out to you steaming.Warm, family restaurant. Han friendly and professional,Very popular Fridays and Saturdays. Call orders ahead for efficient dining or take home. Prices reasonable. Loyal following. I get it.Dietary restrictions: Black pepper, all chili peppers, all citrus and tomato.“
“I would pick every recommendation possible for this restaurant. Excellent server and staff. Out of bounds drinks. Great food! Relaxing atmosphere!! What more can you ask for?? Really?? What more? Love this restaurant and will recommend to everyone know.“
“I recommend this restaurant especially since I was just visiting Florida for a couple of days! The crab that I had tasted delicious as well as the corn they had seasoned as well. I’d 100% recommend this place to anyone who is interested in a southern style seafood place!“
“This is a very nice High end Restaurant on Sarasota Bay and Siesta Key. Atmosphere was phenomenal. Somehow we ended up with a premier table on the edge of the water overlooking the Bay, with the giant fish entertaining us at the Fish lights. The service was very good, we always felt attended to. The Quality of food and drinks was excellent, we were extremely satisfied with our meal.Would highly recommend for a high end restaurant experience.Parking: Parking lot is Valet only.“
“The atmosphere is vibrant and chic, perfect for a night out. The food is a culinary masterpiece, with every dish bursting with flavor and artfully presented. Service is top-notch, attentive without being intrusive. Definitely the go-to spot in Sarasota for an unforgettable dining experience. Can't wait to go back!“
“We had the most delicious meal at Kacey’s over Memorial weekend! I had crab cakes with two sides and they were so yummy. My husband had the coconut shrimp, and son got the grouper prepared in a maple glaze and he said it was DE-Lish. Two of us started with the Lobster bisque, a must if you go there. The other got the ahi tuna which was a great portion. Full bar and really good iced tea, too“
“Very friendly staff. Super busy/fun place, but excellent service and food came out quickly which was helpful for our toddler. The food was really good. We ordered peel and eat shrimp with old bay, street down dip, calico burger, fish tacos, grouper sandwich, steamed clams, and the Mac and cheese and chicken tender kids meals. Zero complaints from our table. Everything was so delicious. The live music was great.I think we waited 10-15 minutes for the table on a Monday night. We had tried to go on Sunday but the wait was 30+ which was too much for our hungry toddler. We really enjoyed this spot.“
“It was my girlfriend 31st birthday, the night started a little sour as we had to wait over 10 mins after being seated for a waiter to greet us though they were not busy. They did apologize for the mix up and after that the night was great, from the food to the service to the atmosphere. She enjoyed her birthday and for that, thank you.“
“Sardinia deserves a 4.75 and maybe higher. Food is delicious and service exceptional too. A bit loud due to the room size and table placements, but that's required to run a business in SRQ. The Sardinian Bread is exceptional. All pastas are homemade...and wonderful as well. We had a delicious dinner and look forward to returning.“
“I made reservations at the much further away Flavio’s on Siesta Key for a table of 11, such a silly mistake, I suggest you don’t do that-it’s stressful! Anyway, the staff at Flavios on Main quickly set us up and welcomed us. The service and food was impeccable! I was so impressed with how well they took care of us all. A huge thank you to the staff at Flavios on Main for the quick pivot. Menu was great, everyone was more than satisfied. They’re the best! ❤️“
“Portions are HUGE and FRESH! The server was very friendly, and we started with a fresh squeezed lemonade, and some house made chicha morada. Yum! I ordered a half salad (which came on an entree plate), my sister had a half soup (at least 12 oz) both were fresh, and flavorful. She had the ceviche mixto and I had the pescado lo macho. We should have ordered only one entree, but both were outstanding. The ceviche was firm and mild ( fish, shrimp, bay scallops, crab ....) dressed with a lovely lime and spice leches. My fried fish was covered in a seafood-packed sauce, that would make an amazing bisque! The bill was a bit high for a lunch, fine for dinner, and considering we'll get another meal out of it, still a bargain! Recommend!“
“Loved this place so much, I'm planning on making many return visits. The food was great, the atmosphere was vibin' and the service was top notch. Loved the drinks, especially the frozen daiquiri in the refillable mug...what a deal!! Live music, that actually was good and played music I like was a special treat. Definitely recommend!“
“Visiting St Armand’s Circle from Minneapolis and had dinner here our last night. Seriously the best lobster roll (Connecticut) ever. And also amazing lobster bisque. Finally a lobster roll with tons of lobster and the right amount of bread. Highly recommend! Casual setting with indoor and outdoor seating.“
“The is the best spot! I am reluctant to give it a super review because I don't want all the tourists to find it. But Deb and the staff are amazing, so I have to say...5 Stars!! Best Burger in town! Sorry Patrick!Parking: Don't be afraid to park away and walk a little. Park down by Mote & Save Our Seabirds. Then walk the short distance up to the Bait Shop. You'll work up an appetite and avoid getting tied up with people who don't know how to park if there aren't lines on asphalt“
“I'm so fussy when it comes to seafood but OMG ? he was so pleasant good music ? good service he wasn't upset with me asking so much questions lol but I'm definitely going back trust me and I'm finna bring all my friends I'm sorry I don't have no pics to show the food smelled so good we started eating in the car ?“
“You must go! Overall a truly enjoyable dining experience for our group of 6 from NYC, Boston and CT. The service is impeccable, atmosphere is casual and lovely, while the food is creative American fine dining, with whimsy, such as the Birthday cake ice cream for dessert. The local red snapper dish was the best seafood dish that 3 of our guests have ever had. Highly recommend the Pickled Peppers and such, Parmesan Beignets and the Berkshire Pork as well. The attention to detail and flavors for each dish is Michelin Star quality. We have dined at the finest restaurants in NYC. If we lived in Sarasota, we would go back to Indigenous over and over. You will not be disappointed. Can not recommend highly enough.“
“This is our Friday go to- I crave their fish fry!!!! Everything that comes out of this kitchen looks amazing. My boyfriend got the Pompano on our first trip and he said it was the best he’d ever had. Chill relaxed atmosphere and awesome people!“
“It is disappointing these days to go out and get mediocre food, service, and no ambiance for a price you regret. We took our Son out for his 31st birthday and ordered the Cowboy Ribeye, what a flavorful steak, cooked perfectly with outstanding sides and bottle of wine. OMG what an experience. We all enjoyed our meals, the ambiance, and superb service. I highly recommend this restaurant, but bring your gold card. Great Job Guys!!“
“Food was ok! Jumbo shrimp were not what I consider jumbo. Typical size you get in a cocktail. The monkfish was ok. I was really anticipating better food compared to the local restaurant in Ohio and was disappointed. It wasn't bad but not great.“
“Went there for "social hour" and had some yummy cocktails and apps! The trio app was delicious! If I were eating dinner, I would definitely recommend the chilean sea bass. Haven't had it in a while and now I can't wait to go back!Oh, and the bartenders are so cool!“
“We've had a tough time finding good Asian food since moving from Tampa, but this place is absolutely a keeper. My wife has been craving pad Thai since the last unsuccessful attempt and Tropical Thai did not disappoint. The pad Thai was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, amazing flavor.I had the fancy duck which was also excellent. The duck was moist while the skin was crispy and everything was very flavorful. The owner was very personable and attentive and we didn't wait for anything. It's no wonder this place has been in business 27+ years! If you want really good, authentic Thai food go to Tropical Thai!“
“I actually went there for the first time on my birthday! Delicious food humble little place. No wonder Jerry Springer used to travel all the way from Longboat Key to eat at your spot. I Absolutely loved the veal parmesan with vodka sauce I think you call it Aurora sauce or something. Yummy!!! ??. We'll be back!!!“
“Excellent location to watch the sunset and we had the most kind and attentive server. We shared the Greek Salad and both had the Open Blue Cobia which was hearty and absolutely delicious. Mine was on the butternut squash risotto. The two paired together was perfection.“
“We brought visitors from Canada here. It was a fun night. Our server RANDY was very attentive and chatty which made the experience much more enjoyable. We got two dozen raw New Orleans oysters and they were huge and delicious. Also two pounds of mussels, two peel and eat shrimp plus monk bread. We were stuffed. The only complain was from the ladies wanted some kind of salad or vegetable. Prices were right. Definitely going to be one of our regular places. Ask for Randy from Horseheads!“
“Two great meals and amazing staff to boot. Weary from travel this restaurant delivered the best dirty martini thank you Tobias, and pan seared Cod with Marsala sauce topping and a tomatoe Pearl onion with capers lemon butter sauce. Mmmmmmmm don’t miss this right off Hwy 75 outside Sarasota.“
“Cute little restaurant and super friendly staff! Food was delicious absolutely recommend the Lobster Bisque! Divine!Parking: It was so easy to park. They have a paid parking lot right next to them as well as many other bars, restaurants, and shops! Highly recommend!“
“We tried Tripletail for the first time and it did not disappoint. Our stunning server, Lily, was very attentive and knowledgeable. My husband tried a smoked bourbon and said it was very good, I had a tasty white sangria. We shared the shrimp and crab dip app. Our entrees were delicious. We had the tripletail, and we highly recommend this. I had the crab stuffed shrimp and they were equally as good. We highly recommend visiting Tripletail Seafood in Sarasota.“
