“Incredible food, drinks and service at Veronica's Fish and Oyster Bar last night for our Anniversary 💍🍾🥂 Highly recommend! We shared the octopus appetizer. My hubby had the skirt steak. I had the whole branzino (not pictured BC the photo was too blurry) it came with the Greek salad. We shared the wild mushrooms and the roasted Brussel sprouts. They also have a fabulous selfie mirror in the ladies room 😍 Our waitress Alexandra was amazing and even brought us a free dessert to celebrate 🥳“

“We just happened upon El Ceviche and with knowledge that ceviche was invented in Peru and I hadn't had it in a long time, we ventured in with no recommendation from anyone. What a find! Best shrimp ceviche ever! My husband ordered a beef dish, Lomo Saltado and said it was delicious. Peruvian corn was a real treat. This is on my Best Of list! Go. Eat. Enjoy.“

“We were able to get seats at the bar. We enjoyed ourselves. The bartender Jen was great. It was busy and she was on her toes as she was the only bartender but made sure everyone was taken care of. The expeditor was impressive. His name was Brody. It was great to see a young man being so attentive to what he was doing and making sure that the staff knew what was going on. Our food was delicious.“

“So delicious, everything is home made. It is a small intimate restaurant and the owners/chefs are so welcoming. The pasta is so delicious and the focaccia bread to the mussels appetizer to the lamb sauce over fettuccine was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The homemade mixture they serve with the bread is unlike anything we have ever had and it was their grandma’s recipe that made it extra special. I would suggest a reservation for this hidden gem!“

“This place was packed and it was our first time visiting, we were on vacation. We were told a 15 min wait for a table but it took about 30. Others were sat before us but, I think that was because employees were waiting on a table to better accommodate a wheelchair and walker. The server was very friendly and helpful with questions. It took so long to get our appetizers and the main orders that nothing came out hot. The food was warm enough to still eat but, just not as satisfying as it could have been if it were hot (hope that makes sense). Even still, the food was good. We had grouper bites, shrimp, and clams for appetizers. The bites & shrimp had a bam bam sauce that was bland but ok, they were fried so just coming out warm missed the mark. I had fried haddock with fries and rice pilaf - all was just kind of warm and bland. My dad had steamed veggies with his that weren’t fully steamed. For the price paid, the mark was definitely missed. Fried foods really need to be hot and crispy, ours was warm with the breading getting mushy and tasted like no one understood seasoning. Definitely a miss. Still recommend to try, ours could have just been a one off.“

“We had our first visit to Maestrale last Sunday, March 1st. Our group of 7 was exceptionally pleased with our meals (we've never seen our 3 1/2 year old granddaughter eat so much!), the attentiveness and the ease of scheduling the reservation. “Last night we celebrated our 27th anniversary. Cannot believe it's been 27 years! We dined Deep Lagoon Seafood & Oyster House - Lakewood Ranch, FL I cannot say enough about Deep Lagoon. Even we arrived we had a reservation and I asked for a game near the window, but there was a small wait, like 10 or 15 minutes. No big deal, we waited patiently as I figured they needed to set up a table or wait for diners to leave. Once we were seated we ordered drinks and an appetizer. The manager brought us Crab Rangoon appetizer on the house because of the wait. We were surprised and assured her we weren't upset at all about the wait. We had a lovely meal, calamari was fantastic, the scallops and swordfish were outstanding. We Donaghy with mandarin orange creme brulee which they gave us on the house as well. Our server Josh was knowledgeable and helpful and very pleasant. Prices are good as well. We will definitely be back!“

We had very bad service last weekend. For a higher priced restaurant like this, it was terrible. Our server 100% forgot about us. We ordered salads as soon as he brought our drinks and if he’d have asked, we’d have given our entire order right then. When we got our salads he didn’t check on us until they were almost gone. My husband wanted a well done steak, so our order should have been put in. Giving him the benefit of the doubt I don’t think they want to rush you in a nice restaurant. I asked if he could take our order when he checked on our salads. We took our time eating but decided we’d need a box to take home. We waited at least 20 minutes before he came to check on us. I used the restroom at one point and saw him at the bar area. I think his main section was over there because we never saw him at any of the tables around us. We were seated in the back by the kitchen and I saw him in that area and he was looking around in the dining area at the very large birthday party next to us but he wouldn’t make eye contact for me to ask for a box and our check. It was enough to not go back for awhile. For $140 ($170 w/tip) we could have eaten almost anywhere.“

The establishment is notably spacious, featuring two large outdoor Tiki areas where guests can relax with a drink or enjoy a meal. One of the Tiki areas includes a stage for live music, enhancing the lively atmosphere. Surrounding the main restaurant is Captain Curt’s Village, which offers a gift shop and several other stores within easy walking distance. The restaurant itself is clean, well-organized, and provides a laid-back vibe that we thoroughly enjoyed. Parking: Parking can be a challenge, as spaces are limited. We were able to find free parking right beside the restaurant, but there are also lots nearby available for a small fee. Service and Drinks: Our waitress, Renee, provided excellent and friendly service. We ordered Pina Coladas, served in large Captain Curt’s keepsake cups. The drinks were enjoyable, but the alcohol tended to settle at the bottom, so it’s important to stir before drinking to avoid a strong first sip. Food Experience: We sampled the clam chowder, which is advertised as the “World’s Best Clam Chowder.” While it may not be the best in the world, we found it very tasty with plenty of clams. My Captain’s Platter consisted of boiled Tripletail Fish, Bay Scallops, Gulf Shrimp, Mashed Potatoes, and mixed Vegetables, all of which were good. The Clam Basket, served with fries and Cole Slaw, was also very good. Additionally, the fish and chips were enjoyable. All food was served hot and in generous portions, leaving us both full when we finished. Overall Impression: We appreciated the quality of the food, the drinks, and the relaxed atmosphere. “Its pricey if you love seafood and love to eat the service was awesome and the food is amazing try the monkafellas once and your hooked ive been their twice this month look forward to many trips back as family comes to visit. We came into town after 4 years and still amazing food but the service needs help. I felt if you sit at the bar you take priority we all ordered two of everything and not one issue.“
