“Oh my goodness this is absolutely the best breakfast food my husband and I have ever eaten. He got a platter with a side of biscuits and gravy. The gravy is not a typical, American style gravy, it is unbelievable!!! I ordered the French Toast and the flavor is unlike anything you will ever try! “Wow! You pull up and it looks almost like a little hole in the wall. You enter and deliciousness GOES DOWN. Bae always picks a winner and this is no different. The star of the show is for sure one of the many preparations of grouper. I ordered the grouper Cadillac, I went with blackened grouper served atop Gouda grits and covered with shrimp etouffee. My partner ordered the grouper nantua which was grilled grouper over basmati covered with shrimp bisque. Both were so delicious we hurt ourselves trying to finish our dishes. Service was prompt and measured. We both ordered before dinner cocktails. I opted for an espresso martini and my partner went with the blackberry sangria. Both were perfectly executed. I ordered a sangria to go with my dinner because it was spicy. We took two slices of keylime pie to go and that was great too. 10/10 recommend!The young chefs are putting in that work!“
“Best Italian food in the area. Make a reservation because this place is popular. It's nicely decorated and gives off that fine dining look but it's cramped and very noisy. Otherwise it's our newest Italian dining stop in Destin.“
“We are locals but this is our first time here. We walked up to the sky bar grabbed a table and immediately greeted by Chelsea as our waitress. She was AMAZING! But wait there’s more, she was not the only one that checked on us. 2 other bartenders (Jorge and Shelby) also checked on us for water, extra drinks, anything we needed. Definitely a team atmosphere. The live music, adult only, and couches over the water are an incredible vibe. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend even if you have a big group. The views of the harbor with heaters and fire pit make it a great place to come year round.“
“Toy is a sweet lady, she was so welcoming. The place has a good vibe if you want to enjoy a low key evening full of just the right amount of fun. Apparently, they don't serve "real alcohol", but that wasn't a biggie. I do think they should make that clear when you order though. The cigarette smoke is also a downer for me, as I left smelling like an ashtray, but that is probably to be expected when you visit a traditional bar and is just a me thing. They have two pool tables, darts and most importantly karaoke! The regular patrons were all friendly and we didn't experience the typical overly drunk bar crowds that one would expect if you've visited other local bars. We left one bar to visit this place for the first time and honestly it was the highlight of the evening.“
“Well, since we've come here twice now,I thought I should share the word about Grand Vista Bar And Grill. First off the staff is excellent! One of the most attentive staffs I've seen. They work as a team. Anexample of this just this morning when we're having breakfast One of the other servers came by and picked up our plates. Not even his table. I love coming to a place like this because management understands everybody's working as a team to the end. Peggy had the French toast second time. She must've liked it. I had an omelette loaded up with all the goodies. There wasn't anything left on the plate. I forgot to order the onions and cheese in my hashbrowns but they were good. Overall will be back again. Although I have to admit we are somewhat of captured audience right now. We are sitting in Destin Harbor and with our refrigerator on the fritz.Being a holiday so that will be a slow repair. So will be exploring all the local restaurants.“
“I enjoyed everything about this restaurant. I love the location right by waterside where I can enjoy watching the boats, tiki huts and seeing folks enjoy everything on offer. I experienced a warm welcome from my server Josie. She was very accommodating and served with a genuine smile and demeanor. I dined on the seafood gumbo and fresh mixed side salad with ranch dressing accompanied by an American Mule cocktail. Delicious! I recommend this eatery for a fabulous experience.“
“We had a surprise 80th birthday for my mother here, in a private room - it was a recommendation from a friend and our first time eating there. We could not have been more pleased with how things turned out. The atmosphere was laid back/welcoming. They allowed us to bring in decorations and our own cake. We had about 18 attendees and our server did an amazing job! There was live music and the performer sang happy birthday for Mom. Everyone enjoyed their food. Check them out!“
