“The tapas are delicious. They just recently changed their happy hour specials, but there are still a few good deals. Happy hour runs from 3-6pm with decent house wines and a plate or two at a discounted price. The service was great, and the food was amazing.“
“Matthew's is top notch! Extraordinary, fantastic food! I had escargot and scallops. Both unique and great culinary experience. My girlfriend had a cheese plate and pasta with truffles. The service was excellent! Appetizer drink Cool Refresher was great! we will be back soon!“
“The atmosphere was really nice, and the food wasn't too bad, just okay. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and they really knew their stuff. But the food kinda felt like fast food to me. I ordered the Palestinian chicken, and while it had some good stuff mixed in, the chicken itself tasted weird and bland. The falafel was alright though. We both had a glass of wine, and I got mine mixed with ginger ale. It tasted a bit like cough syrup, so that's something they definitely need to work on. Also, even though the patio vibe was great, the way they served and cooked the food made it feel more like a fast-food joint.Overall, it was an alright experience, but I'm really hoping they step up their game with the food.“
“On a whim while in Jax we decided to try this spot for lunch. I am so glad we stopped by Athens Cafe!! Service was excellent, food was amazing and the portion sizes were huge! There was plenty to share around the table so everyone got to try different things. Wonderfully done!“
“We decided to stop in at the end of our date night, we had never heard of the place but was intrigued when we saw it online. As another local business owner, I am thoroughly impressed. You can absolutely tell time has been taken to create an atmosphere, build an attentive staff, and develop an extensive inventory for the menu that is still affordable for the customer. Well done, we will definitely be back.“
“We had a business lunch at Taverna in San Marco yesterday and I have to say I was impressed with the service, food and ambiance of the restaurant. We had reservations so we were greeted and seated right away. They have outdoor seating on a front patio and it was a beautiful day but we chose to eat inside. It was pretty crowded but it was never so loud we couldn't hear each other speak. Our waitress was right there to take our drink order as we waited for the third member in our party to arrive. Once everyone was there we all ordered lunch. I ordered a beat salad with no extra protein, my husband ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad and our colleague ordered a pasta dish. We chatted and I was surprised how quickly our food arrived. Everything was delicious! Our waitress was pretty intuitive, she realized that we were having a little business meeting so she cleared our dishes out of the way and was around to check in and refill our drinks. I want to return and try some fresh pasta the next time we come back. It really looked delicious. I highly recommend Taverna we had a great experience and I know you will too!“
“Excellent food. The shrimp and grits momentarily stopped time. My gluten free pizzas are amazing every time. This place fills up fast and they don’t take online reservations. Call 24+ hours in advance if you canSaint Louis style shrimp and grits? Idk but yumDietary restrictions: They have delicious gluten free crust. Shrimp and grits are gf as well.“
“Flamingo Coffee is nestled inJacksonville FL in a nice urban plaza with rustic decor and most importantly good coffee. The barista team was friendly and skilled. Seating will be limited on a busy day but this place is worth the stop! We had Honey Latte's which were well prepared. The espresso blend used here is the Bird Blend. I neglected to pull the region and roasting notes but based on the cup I'm sipping, a bag of these beans are in my future!I now have a pink Flamingo mug for home . Will revisit.“
“My fiancé took me here for a date night and we had the mussels as an appetizer and pastas as the entree it exceeded expectations. The food was very authentic and wasn’t heavy. Also George was more than accommodating he allowed us to try a cake dessert and a bottle of red wine that blended great together. Definitely will be going back service was fast and the atmosphere wash homely and comfortable. Will be coming back -Madison“
“Went here for the first time on Sunday for brunch with a friend. We had made reservations online and were seated right away upon arrival. Our server was incredibly nice and went over the menu and specials in detail, explaining that they work with other local businesses and their food is always made fresh. We had a chocolate chip cherry bread to start and it was DELICIOUS! Both of us enjoyed our main entrees and drinks. Very relaxing, comfortable atmosphere, fantastic & welcoming staff, scrumptious eats and great cocktail list. Will definitely be back!“
“I’ve loved visiting Posting House ever since they opened years ago. When I found out they were hosting a Galentine’s Event here a week prior, I was so elated!Last nights event with the dj, free charms for your wine glass, gusti samples to try, cute photo op areas, etc was so fun! Posting House had a giveaway on their instagram page, and they announced the winners last night while all of us were here. Their social media girl is incredibly nice and kept circling about offering to take photos of everyone.I think the only thing our group was slightly bummed about was the fact that we were told no food would be served or could be ordered, and then we kept seeing charcuterie boards being delivered to other patrons. But that is okay. We had 2-3 glasses of wine here, and ate at a nearby place , continuing to support local in the San Marco area : )All of us had an amazing time. The photographer who helped promote this Galentine’s day event did a very good job, we all came out to support her and posting house, connect with eachother; it was a successful night! Will be back another time to enjoy delicious wine“
“That bar was fantastic! The staff were really friendly and helpful, and those German beers they had were delicious and definitely packed a punch! The backyard was huge and had such a cool vibe – perfect for hanging out. I loved the atmosphere, especially hearing some people speaking German. My friend even had a chat with the bartender in German. It was such an awesome night there! I have met a few people which are cool :D“
“We had an awesome first experience here! I’ve heard rave reviews I just never pulled the trigger. We went for our first wedding anniversary and the food and service was spectacular. They even served us ginger ale in champagne flutes with cannolis to celebrate. Definitely will be back.“
“It was one of the best I have had in Jacksonville and Orlando overall. We ordered Chicken 65 Dry,Manchurian, veg fried rice and Mutton dumplings briyani,It was so delicious ! Amazingly delicious! Will come back for sure. Sai chaityana was out there to serve food ,overall atmosphere was really nice. I recommend it.“
“We had another lovely lunch at Irie Diner in Orange Park yesterday. It is the best Caribbean food we have eaten in the Jacksonville area. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxing, just like the islands. I had jerk chicken, rice and beans and callaloo. It was delicious! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. My husband had jerk pork tenderloin, cabbage, and rice, all of which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a side of fried sweet plantains, my favorite. Our server, whose name from the receipt was Soul G. was excellent...sweet and attentive, but not over-bearing. I cannot say enough about this restaurant and always wonder why there is not a line out the door. If you haven't eaten there, YOU NEED TO TRY IT! Their menu has good variety. In the past I've had their curry and brown stew. They never disappoint.“
