“10/10! The Berkwood St Louis Sticky Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and so flavorful that we found ourselves talking about them for days. The Hamachi Carpaccio was another standout, with the ponzu sauce and kefir lime oil perfectly complementing the yellowtail. We also enjoyed the Garlic Togarashi Edamame and Shrimp Tempura. I loved the Bee My Honey cocktail—it had just the right amount of sweetness for my taste. My fiancé ordered the Kabooki Old Fashioned and liked the mix of ginger syrup and cherry bark vanilla bitters.

The restaurant itself has a contemporary vibe, with low lighting and an intimate atmosphere. The service was great, and we’ll definitely be returning.“

“You can 5 light here for under 20 per person, but I recommend 50 per person, so you can try a decent chunk of the menu.
I also recommend making the reservation for the Kappo bar, they took amazing care of my spouse and I for our anniversary.

Almost 3 years of eating here and the menu is always updating with new dishes to try! The meat and fish are fresh and so delicious!! Also, the liquor selection and dri k menu is superb. There is no other restaurant like it and nowhere else will give you the same flavors, quality, and ambiance of a Japanese restaurant.

“Interesting concept but it seems working well. In Japan we have Yakitori restaurant which more like bar. Kind of same concept. Stop by after work walk in sit down at bar get drink and small skewered foods. We will be back for quick bite for sure!“

I decided to grab dinner here prior to attending an event at the Dr. Phillips Center about ten minutes away. There was a 15-20 minute wait before I was notified that my table was ready. The interior is small and intimate with a lovely ambience. Staff were all very friendly and answered all my questions. The food tasted wonderful, and the gyoza was among the best I’ve ever had. If you plan on eating here for dinner on the weekend, I recommend giving yourself plenty of buffer time—both for parking and service.

Did I mention the desserts? I got one of each (mochi and hojicha panda cotta) and both were scrape-up-every-bite good!“

“It was our first time visiting for magical dining. We actually arrived an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation and they seated us immediately. The atmosphere was amazing and the service was superb! Katrina, our server provided detailed explanations of the menu and gave great recommendations. Even before we entered, Peter, the valet, welcomed us like we were old friends. He recommended Ana’s Cosmo, which was divine. The meal came in “waves” and each wave seemed interchangeable and complemented the previous one. We wanted for nothing the entire evening. Christopher, the general manager, was attentive and made us feel at home. Overall, it was a lovely evening and we will definitely return—only next time we will book a room at the Wave Hotel and make it a proper staycation.“

This place has everything you want in a night out—a stylish, lounge-like vibe; creative, delicious cocktails; mind-blowing food; and friendly, attentive staff. The oysters are hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had; the moriawase sashimi and nigiri are unbelievably fresh and a flavor journey we didn’t think could be topped…until the ghost roll arrived and blew us away. “Chef’s choice sashimi was pretty darn good! Miso sea bass was good too and the buttery sauce it came with was excellent. They should’ve used that sauce with the King Lime roll bc that roll needed some help. Bonbu Tiger roll was surprisingly very good. The hot saki wasn’t great. If they had an actual menu instead of using your phone, it would’ve made it feel much more high end and I probably would’ve ordered a better sake. I was too hungry and didn’t want to look at my phone the whole time. You get 4 brussel sprouts halved on 2 skewers for $5, sad. Seito Sushi by Baldwin Park has the best brussel sprouts.
Omg they also had Toto toilets in the women’s restroom, so great to see that! All restaurants should follow suit!“

“RAVE! Who knew Doritos and sushi would taste so good together?! I needed a sushi fix yesterday, and couldn't find a place open for lunch until my neighbor drove by Hand Roll Sushi on the corner of JYP and Menta Street, and texted me she saw the Open sign on. I called, ordered the Crunch Roll, Volcano Roll, and Crabmeat Salad to go. 20 minutes later I picked it up. The Crunch Roll almost didn't make it home, I was devouring it in the car. Everything was fresh and delicious. I will definitely be ordering from them again.“

“For this visit, I did the Eat to the Beat package and thought it was a pretty good deal.

So there are 3-tiers that we were able to choose from at this restaurant (with the package we bought). I chose the 2nd option which is, you get an appetizer, a main dish and a dessert and it comes with a drink. For the main course, I had the unagi don (eel bowl). This dish was very flavorful and of course the eel was great. I wish it came with more eel though, which was my only complaint but not a big deal. I also enjoyed my dessert, which was a mango mousse.

Overall, it was nice. The waitresses were so kind and on point and I had a lovely view of the outside lake. Would definitely love to eat here again.“

“I have been going to this sushi spot for years and it’s definitely got to be my favorite! The dine-in sushi roll prices are great. The food quality is very good. They never have messed up my order after years of going there. The waitresses are very nice and the atmosphere for me is very calm and intimate. They have the best shrimp fried rice I have ever tried! I could eat here everyday!
