“I had heard this place war worth trying. Took about 20 min from ordering to receiving our food. This is definitely NOT fast food, especially when you’re sitting in the drive thru. The employees were very nice and professional. The food was like warm as someone else mentioned. Was it worth the wait? The shrimp definitely was worth the wait but nothing else was. I’d eat there again though. I’d look for a less busy time. Expect to pay $$$“

“This is a spectacular place to dine , situated in the heart of the lagoons where you get a true taste of local seafood and an array of food items from the menu , the staff is properly trained in which keeps you coming back , I've been there more than 10 times and I'm looking forward to going again . “I sat at the counter because the place was busy and I didn't feel like trying to snag a table alone. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had the smoked pork chop, green beans, Mac and cheese with a side salad. The salad was huge for a side. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend stopping if you're in the neighborhood. FYI it's seat yourself and they close early (like 2:30pm.) I had a great meal and experience. Cheers!“

“We’re headed back to Birmingham & my husband located this spot on google. We were greeted by our server Ultra. She was knowledgeable of the menu, had awesome recommendations for us first timers, & simply made our visit an awesome experience. The menu was simple, food was AWESOME, well seasoned, good proportions, FRESH, & delivered to car fast even with heavy traffic there. “When visiting Flap Jacks i was greeted with a warm welcome. It was a classic quick stop diner vibe like a Waffle House. My waitress was very sweet and friendly. They had a lot of options on the menu something for everyone. We got biscuits and gravy, goulash, and some blueberry pancakes i kept hearing amazing things about. Everything came out quickly and was pretty good. They blueberries in that pancakes tasted super fresh and loved the addition of mushrooms in the goulash!“
