“I had heard this place war worth trying. Took about 20 min from ordering to receiving our food. This is definitely NOT fast food, especially when you’re sitting in the drive thru. The employees were very nice and professional. The food was like warm as someone else mentioned. Was it worth the wait? The shrimp definitely was worth the wait but nothing else was. I’d eat there again though. I’d look for a less busy time. Expect to pay $$$“

“Gene's has been in business for many years and recently changed hands in ownership. We finally had an opportunity to have lunch there today. I had the fresh mullet basket and my husband the fried oyster basket. We both ordered cheese grits and fried okra for our 2 sides. Everything was good, although our grits did not appear to have cheese in them (?). I also ordered a side of mullet roe and tried it. It was not my favorite, it was so big, but now I can say I've tried it. Jeffrey, our server, was very friendly, and we enjoyed our visit. We hope to visit again soon.“

“My server Zach was EXTREMELY knowledgeable on the menu and assisted me with my decision between the scallops and the grouper piccata. I went with the scallops, seared was his recommendation, and it was absolutely delicious. Presentation and taste were impeccable and the service was even better.“

“Great food and selection. Great service and friendly staff. Only problem is the way they pack Customers in, elbow to elbow. It is also very loud and noisy. It does appear however that they are in the process of expanding and eventually the crowding issue will be resolved.“

“This is a spectacular place to dine , situated in the heart of the lagoons where you get a true taste of local seafood and an array of food items from the menu , the staff is properly trained in which keeps you coming back , I've been there more than 10 times and I'm looking forward to going again . “Love the food, love the environment, love the staff. If I had to complain of one thing is there is no separate window/employee for Togo orders. I occasionally order at lunch time right before 12, and then have to wait in a long line for 20 min to just pickup my food, the line is NOT quick. On the phone I’m always told there is no line, everytime I get there though there is a long line obviously because food is great. I just wish there was a better solution!“

“Called in takeout order (after checking out favorable health department inspection) for 25 boneless and 25 traditional wings. Service was impeccable during entire transaction. Wings are quite small but reasonable for the price. They were fresh and had great flavor. Only negative is that celery is placed in styrofoam container with hot wings so it was basically cooked when we got home and inedible. Kindly honored 10% Veteran's discount. Will return.“

“I came for the sweets! Millie’s has great Beignets. My husband and I love to try Beignets at various restaurants when we’re traveling & these are fresh, hot, tasty & tiny. Definitely recommend! I sat in the courtyard, whose neighboring wall is covered in a gorgeous honeybee mural. The actual restaurant is very small, but one of those hole-in-the-wall places you can’t beat. I asked a man inside how he was and he replied, “Great, now,” as he took another huge bite of sandwich. “Service was ok! Slow. The Salmon add on for the Georgia Peach Salad was the best! The salad, not so much. The tomatoes and peaches were big pieces, not bite-sized. The peaches tasted like canned! And, it was a small salad! The Strawberry Mule was delish!“

“I really want to give this place a 5 star review, but I was a bit disappointed when I ordered $150 take out order and found that multiple items were missing, including an entire entree. When we tried to call back that night, no one answered the phone after multiples attempts to call. Otherwise, this place is on point, but I would just make sure staff is trained to check take out orders thoroughly. At least $30 worth of food was missing, a real bummer. Food is amazing though. “This is always a go to destination. Have never had a bad meal or server in the many times we have been there to eat. I love their Greek salad and stuffed grouper. Others had the seafood platter and stuffed flounder. Everything was excellent. Drinks were also great.“

“Food was great. Service was laughable, but it wasn't the fault of the server. She was busy working the register and was swamped with online & walk-in takeout orders. I didn't even realize she was supposed to be our server until after I gave up waiting for a server; we sat at a table for 15 minutes until I just placed an online takeout order because no one showed up to take drink orders or anything. Went to the counter to pay and wait. That's when I saw her take a plated order from the kitchen to the one other person in the dining room, and I realized she was also taking care of the dining room in addition to all the takeout customers. Again, food was great, but either wait until they have a dedicated server for the dining room or simply order takeout. I'll stress this: the dining situation was clearly not her fault. She was just trying to do two separate jobs at once.“

“At first our waitress was amazing, but she got slammed and she did her best, you could tell she was getting flustered, what I could not comprehend is the door greeter (who was just sitting playing with his phone) nor the bartender (was not busy ) just sitting behind the bar neither of them lifted a finger to help our waitress.
