“Cecelia’s Sweets and Vampire Penguin is a family owned and operated desert and snack store located just off of Central Avenue in St. Petersburg with another Vampire Penguin location in Seminole, Florida. Their award winning shaved snow is unlike anything we’ve ever had before and we were already fans of the Vampire Penguin in Seminole before we tried their downtown St. Pete location!We were greeted by a very sweet young lady as well as Cecelia’s daughter and we’re excited to find that this location offered some additional items like house-made freeze dried candy, gourmet popcorn, cookies, delicious premium ice cream in a cup, cone or waffle cone, soft drinks, floats, warm pretzels, and even non-dairy and low sugar options on their small sized snow desserts! The restaurant is super cute with bright decor, friendly service, bar style seating and even a water bowl for your fur kids just outside the door! They have a cute Instagramable wall and the bathroom was well kept and clean.We ordered a warm salted Pretzel with their honey mustard dip which was delicious! I ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream in a cone and my husband ordered the stunning Polar Affogato - Coffee and Vanilla flavored snow, surrounded by Chocolate Brownie chunks, drizzled in Chocolate sauce and topped with fresh Whipped Cream dusted with Coco Powder. It was mind blowing!We will 100% be returning to Cecilia’s for the wonderful treats and fabulous customer service! Next time, I hope to bring my fur kid for their Bow Wow Wow canine friendly snow made of fruit snow and drizzled with Peanut Butter sauce.“

What I like since their reopening is that it is less cafe and more full dining. I am not a vegan, and all of the alternative ingredients used tasted great and I did not feel like I was missing out on any flavor based on the absence of animal products. The parking was easy, they brought us a high chair, and my toddler was thrilled with the side Mac and cheese (he is extremely picky). They also have changing stations in the bathroom for little ones. “We foolishly left our. Lights on are vehicle in the beach parking lot next to the kooky coconut. I went in and asked a nice young lady if there was a towing company we could call to boost our beach van. A young man named Luke said i can give you a boost. I just need to ride my bike home and get my car and come. Back. I asked him why would you do that? He replied i dont live far away. He returned in 10 min. And gave us a boost. “The first time we ate at The Frog Pond we knew we would be back as regulars. Their homemade strawberry jam is fantastic - definitely ask for a side of that with your toast! The breakfast sausage is amazing as is their Eggs in a Pan dish. It’s by far my favorite thing on the menu. The staff and manager, Josh, are also fantastic. Always great service and they were so wonderful with our 2 year old every time we came in.“

“Trendy Café with Very Good Food It was a rainy Saturday morning and the place was busy. No one could use the outdoor tables, so it was crowded inside. Nevertheless, things moved along quickly and we got our order in and got a table. The staff members were all very pleasant and helpful. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The coffee was very good. For food a Jam-on-It Sandwich which was quite nice. We also had a berry yogurt bowl. The yogurt was delicious and the fruit and granola on it were great. The scone we got, nicely warmed, was delicious. I’ll return, but I’ll try for a dry weekday.“
